You were lucky that the workers discovered the fire so quickly and you got it put out fast. How scary that could have been if it burned while you were away. You did an amazing amount of work, both in preparation and planting, but it’s going to look wonderful in a few years. Great work!

I can't image what fantastic your video reveals to us everything, you do is hard work. You are such a blessing to have your parents supportive of you there. That looked like a lot of trees in an earlier video but the explanation here makes sense. The dense buffer is such a good idea and looking back in 5 or so years will be gratifying. Hey Mitch, that was a dizzying and packed new video. I was fascinated that Bobby has an auger attachment. That is wicked. Good to see that these machines of yours are so versatile and useful. The design of the ecobuffer. "It ain't all beer, beer, truck, truck". I thought I recognized that line from the country song. The prep for the water line, what a flux capacitor that was? Good work on making that happen. I admire your ability to take the well thought out designs and make them real. That is a sign of intelligent planning and forethought. SO nice to see the parental units lending a hand. That's called love and support. I was surprised and a bit freaked out by the fire in the house. Sounds like a very faulty fireplace unit. I hope the insurance company makes them pay for the damage. WOW, glad you're safe and it's fixed. Thanks for outlining the Eco Buffer concept. Very smart and forward thinking. Instead of "fences make good neighbors", it's more like Eco buffer makes a good neighbor. I did see 4 or 5 ways to get killed working with the trencher machine. LOL Thanks for making this complicated and informative video for us. I know making these is a tremendous amount of work. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend. 🌴🌲🌳🌿🌵🍁 and of course, 💜

So much planning, forethought, creativity and overall diligent hard work. I'm not sure if you knew/aware, silver maples are known to root through thick pvc water lines. Our community used them throughout each lot, they're fast growing, nice shade trees until they block those drainage pipes. I hope they're placed in such a way that's not right near that beautiful pipe that was buried. I love learning about the eco buffer and how resourceful it is. Will the fence line get a cloth hung through it to help minimize snow/wind while the plants are still young, taking root?

You've made so much progress. And I am guessing that this was from a month or so ago by the weather. You probably got so much more done!
For the next few years, if you make sure to feed (you already mentioned the water) your trees/shrubs, they will grow bigger and faster and that ecobuffer will fill in nicely.

Yes! Been fertilizing everything regularly and eagerly waiting for them to have giant growth spurts 🤣

@@TheYardGeek Ok, it's been 4 months. Please be sure to give us an update on the growth when everything starts filling in in the next few months. And any plans for a vegetable garden or fruit trees?

You are a hard working man... and I'm sure this kind of word is not easy. It's amazing to see how "committed" you are to fulfilling your responsibilities... what a joy to watch. 😅

I NEED more of these Yard videos. I found you based on your details but omg I LOVE your life. Literally living the dream. I’m also looking to sell my city house sometime in the next 3-7 years and building my dream home on some acres. You’re inspiring me! Can’t wait for the next update.

I just binged all the videos on this channel and I have to say, very impressive work, Mitch!! I wish I could do some of the stuff you are doing but unfortunately we rent and can’t do major overhauls according to our lease agreement. If I could I would! 😁😁😁 ready for the next one!!! ❤❤
