One minute I'm watching motorcycle videos, the next I'm watching a video on lawn repairs. I didn't search for this but it was strangely satisfying. Nice to see someone taking pride in their work. Great job 👍
I can understand why you are so busy with more than enough customers. You are honest, thorough and knowledgeable. Hats off to you sir and thank you for a fantastic lesson in lawn care. One of the best I have seen on RUclips.
I would like to have seen how the lawn looks a few weeks after, thats what i was hoping for anyways, always good to see the end result and feels more like a complete finished video.
Great Job brother, and best part is that that lady owner was not watching you during this whole activity and you put yiur best efforts to deliver, what she paid you for. And trust me, the reason behind your success is this honesty. Good luck and have a great life. We all proud of you and others who work not for money, but for their passion. Stay blessed.
The only thing better than learning from someone who explains as well as you, and is as clearly knowledgable as you, is getting to listen to your very charming and lovely accent. So nice to know what I've been doing right, and what I can do in addition to improve my lawn. I recently moved to the Pacific Northwest (Washington State, USA). My lawn has shady spots full of moss and sunny spots full of weeds because it was stressed by lack of water a couple of years ago. I wish I could hire you to help me out, but at least I feel like I know what to do now! Thanks so much!
I am in Washington also and am 77 and my daughter is letting me landscape and work in her yard. She hates yard work. My son mows for her but like your lawn, hers is full of clover and some tiny weeds that flower and dandelions. I need to do all of the things he just showed us but don't have any tools like he has so will have to improvise. I hope it's not too late to get started. I did see some stuff at Home Depot that is soil with seed in it that I might get to join a couple of the steps he showed us. Thank heavens her front and backyard aren't a huge lawn. I first need to find that aerator tool. Wish me luck.
the largest issue in the pacific northwest is drainage...Very very few lawns were built... they at best had top soil placed on top of what was there and added turf or seed. Lawns are built! there are many people and companies who show you how to build from baser to PGA grass or Lawn Bowling grass!
I watch A LOT of lawn videos as I try to learn and improve my lot. This is one of the best, most comprehensive such videos I’ve ever watched. Much appreciated. I look forward to your return visit to this property in a few weeks.
I managed to follow all your steps and I made my new lawn from scratch. Now I have the loveliest, greenest lawn in my estate. Also, I have no weeds or even moss. Thank you for your educational videos.
I live in America and stumbled across this video, which I found to be absolutely fantastic. Once I started viewing it, I had to stay until the end. I wish I had you as my neighbor. Thank you and keep making these very very interesting videos.
Needed to know how to fill in some dips in my lawn so this came at the best time.Felt for you working in the rain , lovely well kept property though and I bet you made that old ladys day going in and giving her some much needed company .and every time I watch your videos your subs have gone up another 100 each time x
Ah so lovely you’re working/helping out elderly peoples lawns. It’s so sad when u get not as fit as u used to be and can’t manage things like u used to. Lawns forever!
Loved your little piece about the older lady feeding you, nice human touch, obviously your garden knowledge was very interesting, so you’ve just got yourself a new subscriber in Ireland 🇮🇪
Wow. Your energy level is through the roof. I'm amazed that you kept going until the job was completed. I'm 68 yo lady and do my own basic yard work, in northern Australia, and after seeing this I think I can go to the next level in filling the low spots. Thanks for a great video. I also enjoyed the lady's lovely garden.
This is the only video i have watched in the last few yearsfrom start to finish, without fast forward any of it....great, well presented and super informative....thx...
Shaun this particular video is by far my top favourite of all lawn videos. I really appreciate your massive generosity in sharing your knowledge. You are so encouraging and inspiring to followers. There is real feel good factor in watching your videos and you are so respectful towards clients, the ground and the tools.
The absolute most thorough and educational video I’ve ever seen on rebuilding a lawn. Excellent job! Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to film it and share your knowledge and experience with us.
Just did my own renovation this weekend, takes many many hours and at the end you start thinking about cutting corners just to be done with it, but it seems you held those thoughts back and power through, good job! No doubt the lawn is going to come out great, prep work is the key as you say. 💪🤘
This is one of the best lawn care videos I've seen. Solid advice, especially with the equipment needed and how i don't need to shell out for pricey equipment. I'll be coming back here for more tips 👌
Excellent.. I have learned so much and this explains my my lawn is so bouncy/spongy & how to fix it.. Classic at the 20:45min mark, "Lunch was amazing!" and you said "..go on then!" Brilliant I love that! Well done, nice job showing how to do it right, putting the effort in and doing it properly.. Thanks!
Thanks Shaun for putting this clip out there, you really do work hard. i really appreciate all your effort you put into every clip you do. Thank you very much.
Wow ! You are a grafter - gardening is a tough job and you make it look easy. I’m so glad you posted this video it shows exactly the problems we have with our lawn. The video is so professionally filmed and informative you even tell the reader what are the best tools to use. My husband and I now feel confident to go ahead and tackle our unevenness and moss problems in our lawn without the massive cost of returfing. Thank you for sharing - you are a lovely guy. The best lawn video on utube!
The absolute best lawn repair video I have ever seen! Sure wish you were in the US, particularly Florida. Really appreciate your professionalism and dedication…..you have a real gift of communication; like your friendliness and personal little side stories. I am 81 and have none of that kind of equipment but would love to be able to repair my yard like you did. Just enjoyed this video very much; thank you for sharing it. Many blessings to a super guy!
I take my hat off to you. That's a dam hard days work well done. I would just live to see the results of your hard work after a few weeks. Most impressed, well done.
Shawn you have such a professional and caring approach to your customers. One really gets the sense that this matters to you, and if you need to go the extra mile, then you do, to get the job done properly. 3 lawns in one day, with rain, and on your own looked like a right shift! And fully deserving of the bacon sandwiches and custard! How were the back muscles after that?? Look forward to the review video in 6 weeks! Have a restful Sunday
Over the last few years I've watched quite a few videos to try and improve my knowledge on lawncare but your video is the best I've seen for showing the steps in lawn renovation. I particularly like how you take time to show in depth parts of the process such as the areas where moss was still present after heavy scarification. Your video editing and presentation skills are great too. Hats off to you sir for your hard work and endeavour, you deserve much success and I hope you get plenty.
I have just started to cut lawns and enjoyed watching your video. You are very informative and do a very very good professional job. Keep up the good work and Thanks. Phil 🇬🇧
Cheers - I live in the States and follow your channel because of your excellent content. You have helped me change a clover-filled shady side yard, clump grass front yard and spotty grass backyard into one of the top 5 yards in my neighborhood. I've scarified, got rid of crabgrass and now this should be my final step... Fill in the dips! Thank you so much for all of the great knowledge!
This video has taught me about the thatch and bare patches in our lawn. Thank you I am going to start trying to fix our lawn’s copying your process and reseed again. 😊
I always thought overseeding was just putting new seed down on your current lawn. NEVER knew you should do all of this prior to overseeding. Such excellent infomation, I plan on doing this to my lawn in the upcoming weeks. Love this channel and your videos!
Wow! You are a true lawn super-hero, a genuine grafter, and a really nice guy too. Have subscribed and liked so looking forward to more lawn rescues. High Five!
What a great video. You worked so hard. Such a nice customer also. I learned a ton from you. I am 77 and redoing my daughters lawn and landscaping front and back yard for her. It is my passion. I can't use all the tools you did but will improvise. We are on a budget here. Thank you and look forward to what it looks like in 3 weeks. Please do an update.
Wow, what a great bloke and an awesome job he did.. I’ve spent the last 15 years learning how to look after my lawns and get it “Just right” and level, well fed etc, and this awesome dude pops into my feed to confirm I’m doing it right, almost… Thanks bud… Instant sub the minute you started talking 🍻
Hi mate excellent, informative and well presented video, be proud of yourself. It's so rewarding when the customer appreciates all the hard work involved in the process towards the start of a nice lawn. Your spot on the key is preparation and don't rush. Hope you can do a follow-up video and you never know you might get another well earned bacon sandwich. Take care mate looking forward to the next video. 👍
I hand layed 2.5 tones of top dressing on my lawns l didnt have all your wonderful gadgets You and your collection of lawn care machines make a very hard job look alot more easy and quicker
Hi yes it's so so much easier.. That's literally why I invested in them. Certainly needed when doing daily renovations for 6 weeks every spring and autumn
I have never watched a garden show but you Sir ! made my Tuesday evening very interesting. now I am going to tackle my own lawn with my new found knowledge. thank you .
That was a big job! You worked hard! My deepest respect to you. The video you made was some of the best instructional I have seen. My hat off to you sir! Thank you......G. Green

Great video, thanks Shawn for making it. I was impressed with how well-kept the garden is, not an easy task for an elderly person. You making the lawn better will just make it a lovely setting in the summer. If you do ever get the chance I am sure people would like to see some shots of when the lawn has recovered
You are on fire this week, Shaun! I have to schedule time just to watch your videos now. As usual, you produced another great video about a much needed renovation. It helps when you have a great customer who keeps you fed with bacon sandwiches and fresh custard. If you ever make it to this side of the channel, I'll make sure you don't leave hungry!
Decided I’d check this video out and became interested in your process of improving a lawn. Great video very informative. I’d like to see how this lawn progresses. Thank you.
Best vid of yours I've seen so far. The pre seed fertiliser I have says wait a week before seeding. It seemed to take ages to break down. Also had to fence the whole lawn off from dog as it sounded like nasty stuff.
I do not even know why i am here, but glad i stayed, you have a very nice manner, and deliver a good presentation of your work I was thinking of getting artificial grass in the back garden, but i am now reconsidering my options!
Definitely get the real thing. The lead (used for the green color) and other materials in artificial lawn is showing up in more reports of toxic chemicals in our soils. Especially if you have children or pets that will be playing on the lawn
Thoroughly enjoyed watching this, thanks for putting this out there. I would really like to have seen a follow up on how the lawns look in a few months time. 👍
I really admire your attention to detail and your choice of what tools to use to help you. That woman's garden and patio work is beautiful, and I'm sure the lawn will be fantastic. It was incredible how much thatch you removed. I am surprised you didn't use it for compost somewhere. I look forward to seeing what it looks like in a few weeks. Thank you.
A timely video for me because I'm about to start the process on my own lawn. Good tips. I would like to see the job four or five weeks later for comparison.
I’m so glad I found your video. Great explanations. I also have clay soil, thin and mossy with low spots and bumps. I never realized this was the solution. Thanks again!
Thank you for the video! Yorkshire people are the best! My beloved husband was born in Leeds so Yorkshire has a special place in my heart. With love from SWDevon. 💕🇬🇧
Love and appreciate your knowledge and passion. Haven’t found that on this side of the pond. Come over sometime do our lawn and my wife will fix you a real southern breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Great video Shaun , great knowledge, humour and a lovely customer ( I think there’s a lot of people who would like to adopt her) . Hope you’re planning an update on her beautiful garden 👍
Thank you for your video - very informative and clear on the benefits of the processes. Very well rounded lesson especially for the newbies. It encourages me not to skip any steps when I'm feeling a little lazy to do everything. But, you keep us motivated to take our time and do things well and correctly the from the start. Cheers mate

Hi it went well. Here was one update ruclips.net/video/i8PT0sxnd7I/видео.html
And this is the most recent update ruclips.net/video/LrZUOa3W9pc/видео.html
Best vid of yours I've seen so far. The pre seed fertiliser I have says wait a week before seeding. It seemed to take ages to break down. Also had to fence the whole lawn off from dog as it sounded like nasty stuff.
Thanks. Hope you get things looking good and green soon!
I do not even know why i am here, but glad i stayed, you have a very nice manner, and deliver a good presentation of your work
I was thinking of getting artificial grass in the back garden, but i am now reconsidering my options!
Thanks 😊😊👍
Definitely get the real thing. The lead (used for the green color) and other materials in artificial lawn is showing up in more reports of toxic chemicals in our soils. Especially if you have children or pets that will be playing on the lawn
Great video mate, it looks like very hard work restoring a lawn 🙂
It is! But I'm used to it.. I just go to bed early most nights 😁😁
brilliant diligent job, great energy. great film work too and editing.
Thank you kindly!
This ia an impressive and knowleagable video for lawn repairs and cares. Thank you! I have subscribed the channel!
Thank you so much 😊
Please do a follow up video. Love to see how it turned out.
Will do.. I'll be back in a few weeks.. I did post a few pictures recently on my community tab
Thoroughly enjoyed watching this, thanks for putting this out there. I would really like to have seen a follow up on how the lawns look in a few months time. 👍
Here's an update from a month ago ruclips.net/video/i8PT0sxnd7I/видео.html I also have another update on this on August 17th
Thank you.
Thank you very much! I will call back there soon
A timely video for me because I'm about to start the process on my own lawn. Good tips. I would like to see the job four or five weeks later for comparison.
You're in luck.. Went there a few days ago so the video will be out soon 😊
I’m so glad I found your video. Great explanations. I also have clay soil, thin and mossy with low spots and bumps. I never realized this was the solution. Thanks again!
No problem 😊👌👌. Good luck with the improvements
Can you refer someone like yourself for Georgia, USA? You are incredibly knowledgeable and trustworthy. Well done!
Hi 👋 I wouldn't say I know everything, just bits learned over the years but maybe I can come over in the future

You can do it 😁
Love and appreciate your knowledge and passion. Haven’t found that on this side of the pond. Come over sometime do our lawn and my wife will fix you a real southern breakfast, lunch and dinner.
If you can pay for flights etc, my wife says ooh yeah! :). Maybe one day who knows...

Hi John. You do whatever you feel you want to do. Don't be away too long. Take care 🤝👍
Thank you for your video - very informative and clear on the benefits of the processes. Very well rounded lesson especially for the newbies. It encourages me not to skip any steps when I'm feeling a little lazy to do everything. But, you keep us motivated to take our time and do things well and correctly the from the start. Cheers mate
