True but I feel that the chaebol family the kids were the heirs to the business and they didn’t want to give them up to an actress or that they were threatening to cut the kids from the family which would have resulted them not inheriting the family fortune. Either way she was never going to win her kids as sad as it is.
Lesson: don’t ever be associated with the Samsung family. :(

That's terrible that the family treat her like she's a nobody during and after the divorce. I'm proud she's trying to reach out to her children through the vlogs, interviews and speech. I truly have respect for her. May God send many blessings to her.
They 100% probably watch their mom’s stuff… most likely they aren’t allowed to see her just like she can’t see them. They are probably prevented from actually going to see her
Pretty sure they treated her like a nobody before and during the marriage too. She probably kept hoping it would get better or completely resolve itself after marriage or after kids or if she played the perfect wife and daughter-in-law but it just never happened so she finally decided to get out of it and made a plan. She knew she would get nothing out of her marriage so she probably with the help of her friends stoved away some money. They somehow managed to pressure her into giving up parental and property division rights, most likely blackmail. Asian family dynamics can be hard to navigate but make the in-laws rich and powerful, its another kind of hell altogether.
Her kids have been brainwashed and definitely hate their mother bc of it.. they will most likely never be able to or want to have a relationship with her. Their family has so much power and influence, more than we could imagine. They can make ppl disappear. GHJ can’t talk they def made her sign an NDA. The fact that GHJ is even able to make a sliver of a comeback is bc she was that big of a star back then (and recently due to exposure via self broadcasting platforms like RUclips). Rich ppl be wild

Wife and kids. He called a lawyer and his parents BEFORE HE CALLED 911. They claim he couldn't have done it since the key card didn't show anyone entering or leaving but if you put tape on the lock of these doors it doesn't show key cards being used*

Okay y’all hear me out: Personal opinion here (allegedly to cover all the bases). I think the stolen car with the money; the car accident; the pictures of her smoking; and the rumors on set about her being rude and choking the director out was all the family’s doing. I think she took the fall for the stolen car and the accident and they paid the witnesses to lie on her. I think they also paid people to create bad optics about her for this divorce. The family basically painted the picture that she’s a bad woman to make the children not look for her.

It's pretty common when you are rich. A fave threat used by abusive husbands in LatAm, is that they will take the kids away (even poor guys). There are many cases where the father runs off w/the kids and the courts do nothing.

I just googled her, and she lost custody of her children when they were 3 and 5, so they were so young. I can't imagine separating a mother from her children at such a young age, for no good reason (apart from abuse and physical safety issues). btw her ex husband is first-cousins with Lee Jaeyong the current chairman of Samsung (who went to jail) and Lee Boojin the chairman of Shilla hotel (the woman who married her bodyguard). His mom is the younger sister of their dad and they’re all grandkids of the founder of Samsung (they’re essential the 3rd gen of the Samsung family). so they are all infact very closely heavily related.

If there's one lesson I've taken away from your videos it's never marry into a chaebol, especially the Samsung family. The thing is that rich kids usually stick with the parent who has the money.
9/10 they don’t have a choice even if her kids wanted to be with her their father had gotten custody but even with that I’d assume they would still try to meet her when their older as they aren’t really under the fathers rule’s anymore but the thought of being kicked out the family is probably a factor and that’s why they haven’t reached out to her

It also feels like she avoids saying anything negative for the sake of her kids. Her divorce story is always a heartbreaking story for me as being her big fan. She was truly THE BEST actress back in the day, and always ended up being a big hit every single time even after the divorce. I watched Queen Seon Doek more than 10 years ago, she literally stole the whole drama. She appeared in that semi-autobiographical movie with other divorced Korean actresses and that is how I learned about her story. She is so incredibly strong for fighting for her career and children. She is the definition of resilience. She was also bullied on a drama set a few years ago with an awful production team but she always rises from the ashes ! I am looking forward to her next projects !

These Chaebol videos is so good. The way Stephanie narrates it is so good. Basically, Go Hyun Jung's husband is the cousin of Lee Boojin, the president of Shilla Hotel. The Lee Family or as to what we all know as Samsung Family has like 4 big Conglomerates and other branches and business as well. One of Lee Byung Chul's Children married a director of LG. So yeah they are at the top in controlling S. Korea's economy.
I hope when her kids get older, they reach out to her. Or find some way to get to her or at least let her know they think of her. That must be so difficult but I'm glad she is making a comeback.

I think it’s so awful how a parent and family could do that to their children unless the parent has done something truly awful. I'm so glad u covered her story. I learned of this a few yrs ago and felt so bad for her. I feel like it is a curse if one would marry into a Chaebol family. i looked it up while watching this because i wanted to know if her children have said anything about their mother and when her daughter was asked if shes aware how similar she looks to her birth mother she replied she doesnt think so because her mother is too beautiful she used the words ”그분“ which is a formal way of saying that person when youre speaking of someone in a higher position or is older than you or you just dont know well as a form of respect and i cant imagine she would say such positive things if she thought negatively about her mother but the way she addresses her as "그분“ you can tell the distance in their relationship its like someone you dont know.. i really hope her children are watching all the things she does for them
So the biggest fantasy/most unrealistic plots in Kdramas is a happily ever after between Chaebols and commoners?

Yup, although Queen of Tears was a pretty close storyline to reality...until midway when we remembered it was a Kdrama after all

Okay I just started balling my eyes out about the study videos- why am I like this...also went to the study video and she was liking comments of people saying "I hope your kids watched this video and studied with you" STOPPPPP
I watched her drama Reflection of you whilst reading about her marriage and children, and it almost felt like some of her scenes and acting were raw emotions really, especially the one with the character's children
