Chris does one hell of a job at leveling with the skid steer. You almost have to check it. It is very relaxing to watch him run any of his machines he's so good at them all. Thanks for sharing, Chris, and thanks for the video. 😮
There is a hell of a lot of skill on display here. I know you’ve got a lot of hardware but for one person to do all this work to such a professional standard is amazing. Well done Chris.
Geotex will bring the wind, paint spray gun with the compressor will bring rain. Washing vehicles will make it storm. You are a very productive 'one man show'. It's always amazing to see how 'fluid' that sand is being worked.
Want rain on the way home, buy drywall, and haul it in a pickup. I guess the same also works for furniture. Edit: Just remembered this: When planning a bike ride days in advance, expect the absolute worst weather. When that day arrives, it will have the best weather you could ask for.
Hi Chris, what a pleasure it is watching you spend all the sand and then roll and motor grader. It just makes you feel so relaxed. I hope you get the same feelings as we do. Chris, have a great God bless you and be careful out there.
You have got some real good compaction from the screenings, I was surprised the trucks weren’t sinking in more, that is going to be one sweet looking arena when you get it finished out. The clients should be pleased with the results I would think. Those were some nice looking trucks hauling for you, drivers take pride in their equipment just like LD18 does, good equipment = good work. Thanks for the update, enjoyed watching.
You make it look so easy and it's anything but. That is going to be one fine riding arena when finished and the owner will love it. I also agree with you on the first truck driver's stone spreading skills. That was sweet. Thanks for sharing, Chris.
Rolling all that fabric out is like home to me. I used to work in convention centers where we rolled out 200-400' rolls of carpet on a regular basis. One show comes in and 6 days later pick it up. Then the next show comes in and do it all over again with different carpet.
By this Hors Arena building, work You with much Equipment from You and to build up 66o Tons of Screening. This a very much Material, and this building make You alone! To it a Phantastic Video with Picture from Different Position. Thanks for this Event. 👌
WOW.. My home town is an irrigated area, from river, with dry, wheat land beyond that.. average Yearly rainfall is 12 inches.. a year, a nd you had 13 inches in a couple of weeks... Wild !
Didn't realize those Horse Arena's was so common in your neck of the woods, until seeing you do so many of them over the years !! Ain't that the truth !! anytime you try to lay anything out like that, no sooner than you do, here comes the wind, and just messes everything up !! loololol... Nice that Robert already drilled those cross ties for ya, where you can go ahead and get them in the ground. Man, you ain't lying about the humidity !! It's been over a 100 every day here in W. Ky. for a week or so now, and the damn humidity at 100 % at the same time , just makes it awful !! I just got done mowing my yard before, I came in to watch your daily video, and Man, it was Hot as all hell out there !! and no sooner that I got done, here comes one of those Big ass afternoon Blow up T-Storms, just made it that much hotter again !! lolol... But, Great as Always Chris !! Have a Great Evening, And On too the Next !! Got it looking Great Man !! Have a Good One...
Thanks for showing a quick close up of the screenings, I always wonder what your materials look like since it’s hard to see the true size and perspective right from far away
I decided to check Chris's work again to see how even the arena was , so I set up the tripod and mounted my laser level , Then I paused the video around the 28:00 minute mark so I could get a good overall view of the arena. After moving the tripod and laser to each of the 4 corners of my room to get an accurate reading from each direction.., I determined that my big screen is mostly flat but it dips 2.3mm in the middle. I figures Chris is going to need about 40 ton to fill in the dip.
Great video as always. I put in a 60mx30m arena last year but we do it a little different in Scotland, I use fist sized stone for the sub base the blinded off with 1" clean stone, then fabric with the sand mixed with fibre on top. This gives us great drainage as we get a lot of rain in Scotland 😂
I love watching Chris operate any of his equipment. The way he just knows what to do, how and when, with how much force or not ! That is the true sign of a master. I can see why he didn't bother entering the Hyundai games that DP, Camerata et al, are doing. He is so much better than those guys.
Chris, it boggles my mind how quickly you get the screenings spread out and leveled with the skid steer. I'm going to rent one when my neighbor and I bring in topsoil to level our yards, I hope I can do the job well but it'll probably turn out wavy.
chainsaw miter the two ends at the crest ---> perfect: 6" / 50' >>> percent radius: 1.146° >>> pitch: 0.24" : 12" (divide by two for both cuts) >>> basically 1/8" : 12" on your square; draw along the outside of the short right angle - that's your end miter.
What’s the best stone to use to finish a driveway? My driveway has a great base out of bigger stone that looks like the #4 that the first 2 trucks brought to build the road to the arena but it washboards pretty bad in places. After we sold all our dairy cattle years ago I worked for another farmer for 10 years. One year he top dressed his driveway and he called the crushed stone dense grade. It had a lot of sand in it and it packed hard like concrete.
I am a construction foreman. I use my mini excavator to roll out fabric, for long distances. I can feather it with my bucket tooth and roll as fast as the mini will track. Saves a ton of time, as well as saving the energy of my employees. All they have to do is cut the plastic off and pin the fabric down.
Nice to have the weather hold off so you could get the screenings delivered and you were able to spread it out.arena looks even bigger with all the work you did.just got to install the railroad ties and clean up surrounding area.great video as always.continue doing your thing.looks real good customer should be very happy with results.be safe.😎😎😎👍👍👍
I would love to see how this turns out. Millings on that solid clay are going to be hard enough to hold up the space shuttle. I thought DOT bought up all those millings.
When I was coaching baseball years ago I always preferred gravel millings over using SAND rock because it was way easier to work and didn't hold water. Are you using a lazer level mounted on skid steer? Always enjoy your work and me not having to break a sweat.
If there was a bandsaw attachment Chris could’ve cut those boards with excavator in last video. I’d love to work with that clay there is a lot of inconsistency in ky and rock
Don’t ask me why but I’ve always loved watching Chris spread and level material with his skid steer. He’s just damn good at it
Your not the only one, me too, it's very therapeutic.👌

if you *really* need wind asap i recommend tig welding outside.
And, if you're having a kite flying event, no wind for days.😊
Want rain on the way home, buy drywall, and haul it in a pickup. I guess the same also works for furniture.
Edit: Just remembered this: When planning a bike ride days in advance, expect the absolute worst weather. When that day arrives, it will have the best weather you could ask for.
4:15 absolute truth. It will be calmer than calm until you start to unroll fabric.
Chris spreading material with his skidsteer is The Master at work.
Always enjoy these types of projects. Love seeing the trucks and your ability to work a plan!! Coming along nicely!!
Incredible transformation of that property. Great job Chris!
Great progress, Chris. As you said, thank goodness for great truck drivers. The first load was perfectly spread, kudos to that driver.
That Takeuchi TL12V2's power and versatility never cease to amaze me. Keep those videos coming! 💪
It's so useful
I always love spreading millings. They pack great and flow like water to seal the bottom side well. Love your uncle's new blue truck.
Hi Chris, what a pleasure it is watching you spend all the sand and then roll and motor grader. It just makes you feel so relaxed. I hope you get the same feelings as we do. Chris, have a great God bless you and be careful out there.
Chris has a nice touch with the skid steer. Good command of what it will do and do well. Fun to watch.

Chris, you are a veritable dirt sculptor with any machine you climb on! 🙌
That’s a beautiful blue truck!!!
That’s gonna be a fine arena for some horse lovers …for sure. Great work sir!
After all the rain you have had you got very little wash out and your doing a Extremely great job Chris the horse arena is looking so good.
You make it look so easy and it's anything but. That is going to be one fine riding arena when finished and the owner will love it. I also agree with you on the first truck driver's stone spreading skills. That was sweet. Thanks for sharing, Chris.

You and those truck drivers tailgating that stone are very impressive. Thank you for the videos.
Another great video Chris. Can't wait to see you saddle up and ride around the arena.
Thanks for sharing you work as always.
just love love love watching you plan out and execute a project, job looks fantastic, considering 13inches of rain on it.. thanks for sharing Chris
Watching these machines work is oddly satisfying
Experience and skill made this arena base stand up to the huge amount of rain and runoff. Good the wind didn't make itself known. Looks fantastic.
Chris as always you are number 1 spreading sand. Dump truck drivers were primo. Thanks for the video. Have a great week. Send Texas some rain please.
Always like the view of the blade spreading out material
Great watching you working I find it a great pleasure
You operate that grader with the precision of a surgeon Chris. Always enjoyable watching you work.
Coming along well bro and looking good as it is before the finishing touches. Safe travels. Ken.
Thanks for explaining the job so well.
I was very surprised as the first truck load of went so far and listen to Chris at the same time. Was decent.
Chris I could watch this grading all day long ny friend, it`s so relaxing, thanks for taking us along my friend.

Good Truck operators the key to a successful job .
It helps aye Chris ,you do your stuff and they do theirs,no fuss,no issues, happy job day .
It’s amazing how much work you get done in a day 💪🏻
By this Hors Arena building, work You with much Equipment from You and to build up 66o Tons of Screening. This a very much Material, and this building make You alone! To it a Phantastic Video with Picture from Different Position. Thanks for this Event. 👌
That ole motor grader has to be one of ur best investments!! Thanks for the great videos Chris
Still fun to see your buddies beautiful blue truck

It’s amazing how easy it is for you to maintain a consistent depth. That’s experience.
im sure the owners love your work like we do done rite. nice job sir. cheers.
I can tell you take pride in your work.
Thhe ponies will love this. Well done!
Looking great!
It's funny how much I love the look of that grader. It's like an industrial hot rod with the, what look like wide tyres.
Love the video Chris , your the expert on your job .
Chris you do one hell of a job on the machines!!
This arena! 660 tons of shows are fascinating
Outstanding work
Put a blue tarp on a roof it will bring both wind and rain. Mine lived through hurricane Sandy.🍻
Drinking my coffee and watching Chris this morning. It's my birthday today and can't ask for a better birthday today.
Awesome Job!!
Great job 👍🏻
Thank you and have a good day.
Chris job looks amazing

Looking good Chris!
In the old days you had to track everything in. You have a Lot more equipment now brother
Sure enjoy your trademark guitar music during the fast forward scenes and drone video shots.
Good job mate another job well done
Always easy to spot a good dump truck driver. They don't bury their end gate into the dump spoil. My pet peeve.

cool project!
your videos are crazy, i really enjoyed it💖💖
Awesome video. Hello from Shelby N.C..
Who needs a laser to level up the job site when you have Chris on the track loader?🤷♂🏆🏅

Those drivers make a difference, but I would think with your volume you deserve the best.
The go pro shots are cool Peace out

Amazing how much screenings and rock gravel you need for a given area. Suppose there's a formula for that.
Time to get your own grader. Volvo bought Champion so maybe you could get then to fund a vintage Champion for your fleet.
Chris it's look's like the owner of that place is watching You from the air. I saw a plane 2 times.
Another winner Chris
That grader is the perfect size for jobs like this. Now if it only had a cab with AC.
Another great video, thanks. Please can you explain for what purpose the fabric is for?
If it's miserably hot , just grab the fabric to generate a stiff breeze.
Definitely good drivers.

That’s peaceful to watch. Really looks awesome❤❤❤❤❤😊
hmm, that case dl 550 minotaur would have been nice with the dozer blade... man!
We DIG your channel, Chris.😊

And if you want it to start to rainin get a tarp out to try and cover something up.
That's a large ring. Plenty of room to work. Reckon Chris made these millings himself?
Can you spread screenings with the delivery trucks like you do stone?
How do you keep your reference grade even over such a large area?
Nice video Chris.
Not those dudes first day tailgating stone.
