Biggest DC Characters Who Have STILL Never Appeared in Live Action

- DC Comics have been around for nearly a century and it didn't take them long to start making movies and tv shows. Most characters have appeared somewhere but even now there are still some very significant characters who have never appeared anywhere in live action.
i think the fact that The Mask came out in 94 shows they definitely could’ve made a Plastic Man movie in the mid 90s with decent fx
I'm honestly shocked Power Girl has never appeared in live-action at all. I feel they had ample opportunities to introduce her in the Arrowverse Pre-Crisis during one of the crossovers.

I mean, it would be awkward if the same folks who said "hey Melissa, we're going to have your suit have pants because you might be freezing in the Canadian winter with your legs naked" then went like "hey Melissa, can you put this suit that uncovers your legs even more and has a big hole on your chest?"
@@NIDELLANEUM companies probably see a character design like that and see visions of the future like that one Nic Cage movie of getting a bunch of bad publicity over it being sexist and “sexualizing females” and they just steer clear

Yeah you would think with him having no powers it would be very cheap and easy to do on liveaction as a mystery show.

With John Stewart, you missed a version. There was going to be a version of John Stewart that appeared in the canceled Justice League mortal film with the rapper Common playing John Stewart

I don't know if this counts, but technically Plasticman appeared during some live action segments of his 1979 cartoon
Technically we already had Plasticman in the form of Enlongated man from the Flash tv show because Plastic man and Enlongated man have the same powers

I think the characters who deserve a live action appearance the most are probably John Stewart, Damian Wayne and Terra Markov.

Simon Baz hasn’t appeared in any tv show or movie. The only Green Lantern to not appear anywhere but a videogame.
It's a shame nobody ever talks about Kyle Rayner. His white lantern stuff is some of my favourite lantern storytelling

John Stewart was my first Green Lantern too. I think that he was my first Black superhero. I have always loved him in the Justice League cartoon.

Out of all of these characters, I'd love for The Question and The Grifter to get their own limited series (high quality), Captain Atom, Wonder Girl and Power Girl to appear as side characters in movies, Black Racer vs The Flash in a Darkseid invasion, and just literally everything to do with the Green Lantern corps, as well as Wally West

As for Captain Atom, why not adapt the Charlton version before he was made metallic looking? The blue costume he had looked great.

They won't do that dc that company biggest money maker but they will put different dc shows on other streamers like Amazon or netflix like sandman

Yeah, but they canceled Sandman (on Netflix) already because it costed too much to make. They're looking at either making DC content on a shoestring budget or selling DC in order to get a substantial cash infusion for their company...

Batman caped crusader series going to another streamer different streamers bidden for that show. Zaslav already next year they will be spending more money they want harry potter movie and harry potter show list goes on he said all 4 dc films will come out next year

Plastic Man appeared in live action segments between cartoons played by Taylor Marks in the Plastic Man Adventure Hour.
Wondergirl was called Drusilla on Wonder Woman with Linda Carter was also in the nineteen forties in the story.
Actually, it is true, he hasn’t appeared in live action, the adaptation of “Wally West” that we got in the Arrowverse isn’t an adaptation of Wally West, it is an adaptation of Wallace West.
You know they’re the same person right? There are three people named Wallace West in DC comics, all have “Wally” as their nickname.

CW has made a Booster Gold on Legends of Tomorrow but i don't really count it even though it is the same Booster Gold

John Stewart being Relegated to an HBO MAX show rather then actually letting him debut in the Justice League sorta kills my Supprt for DC,and I can't believe how far They've allowed the Teen Titans:The most Celebrated/Iconic/and Popular Teenage Superhero Team in the World to just be Relegated to Teen Titans Go.
Arrowverse wanted to use Ted Kord abd The Question. In fact Brandon Routhe was going to play Ted Kord. However Warner Bros. vetoed it because they said they were "planning" to use those characters in future projects but those never came to fruition

Having Adam West return as old Bruce in 2000 would've been cool.
Also the fact they had a batman beyond movie in mind with Michael Keaton as old bruce would've been cool.

Not a major character, but he has the potential to be a great lead for a show...Blue Devil. Think about it, it's The Fall Guy if he was trapped in a suit that makes him super powered.

Interesting to know that for the generation who grew up in the 00s John Stewart and Wally West are their Green Lantern and Flash. For me, having grown up in the70s, Hal Jordan and Barry Allen are my GL and Flash and Wally is my Kid Flash.
I grew up in the mid to late nineties, so for me it was Wally West and Kyle Rayner.

As much as I would love a Static movie or show I think a Batman Beyond movie/show visually would be more interesting. That sci-fi setting mixed with Batman would be awesome and I wish DC would try that instead of rebooting Bruce Wayne all the time.
They should have Ben Affleck play as an old old Bruce Wayne. People want Keaton, but I feel it’d be more impactful for Affleck to pick up a gun and resign out of fear.
Also, Jaden Smith for Static! He gets so much unnecessary hate from one bad M. Night Shamalan movie but he’s still a good actor who would fit the role perfectly.
@@HoodedSpidey it wouldn't have any impact, both Keaton's Batman and Affleck's are known for killing, they should do it with George Clooney (maybe even Val Kilmer) if we go for the impact of a Batman with a no killing rule that, out of the need to survive, picks a gun and quits being Batman. Also, give the man a second chance he can probably pull it off lol.

Any lesser known DC characters you could think of who hasn’t appeared in live action? The ones I’d like to see are Red Lion, Marilyn Moonlight, & Ghost Maker, those 3 are dope.

At least you acknowledge that canonically Wally West has appeared just not in the way you'd prefer.
Metal Men, Metamorpho, Adam Stange, Space Ranger, Cryll, Zook, Ultra the Multi alien, Sea Devils, Challengers of the unknown, Aquagirl, and Aqualad have not appeared yet in Live action. I read Captain Atoms comics don't recall him ever exploding in them.
Yeah because Captain Atom rarely explodes in them. Writers just nerf him outside of his own comics and go with the fact his near indestructible metallic skin can be broken if you hit him hard, which is not true because that guy is a Superman level character when it comes to his durability and a powerhouse in his own right.

What about John Diggle, pretty sure he changed his last name to Stewart, to reflect his step Father last name, a decorated Marine/Soldier. and he was implied to be a Green Lantern at the end of Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Deadman would be like Quantum Leap, only dead with Rama Kushna, only he can see and hear when he is in someone's body.
Better late than not but dissapointed it took till 2021 for Darkseid and Martian Manhunter to finally be in live action on screen.

Actually Batman is easily the most important and most prominent member of The Batfamily.
I mean... I got SOME idea with Azrael appearing in movies DCU. As far as we know, Jason Todd is already dead in DCU, so that can mean and Dick Grayson already exists in DCU also.
Basically what about making a movie of Batman about how Jean-Paul becomes new Batman after death / coma of Bruce Wayne and his mentor would be Nightwing, trying to cope with death / coma of Bruce while they both try to find Bane, and in the process Dick would realise that Jean-Paul is not ready and Jean-Paul would be the actual antagonist in the movie. After their first fight, Nightwing would lose and Jean-Paul would throw away Batman mask, recolour his whole costume to look more like Azrael. After that Dick would take Batman costume and use voice changer (like Ben Affleck's Batman) to try to impersonate Bruce, then defeat Azrael, but seeing that people need Batman, he would accept the title of Batman
That's just how I would replace Ben Affleck's Batman

@@Twisthiphop we'll have to wait and see how Constantine 2 plays out, the fact that this movie is still happening after the changes to DC Films is a big red flag for Keanu being the main DCEU/DCU Constantine. So maybe they retcon both into the DCEU

DC has so many amazing characters that haven't been utilized I mean they could even do it the Justice League Unlimited way just have a movie where there's some major threat and there's several characters like say Red Tornado, Vigilante, Blue Beetle, Steel, etc. Fighting the thing maybe needing help then bring in the main Justice League cast to finish the thing off, so they can have the characters everyone wants to see that maybe they don't think are worthy of having a full movie or series.

I would love to see wally west and i mean the real wally west no offense to the one from the flash he is a version of wally i think hes has gone by wallace west if im not mistaken and he is really good but i feel like a lot of us would like it if they could introduce the true wally west to the dceu maybe in the flash 2 or something depending on how the film turns out since after that ezra miller will no longer be the flash

Just thinking of a fun list. Characters who were hinted at in a show or movie but never appeared and an other list, characters that are highly unlikely to appear based on difficulty of making them look right, possibly offensive name or general obscurity or unpopularity.
I know characters related to Metamorpho were on Flash Plastic Man could work Flash had a stretchy guy too

DC has so many characters but sucks that they focus way too much on Superman and Batman
It took awhile to get a GL movie and purposely sabotaged it, Wonder Woman movies that aren't that good, Aquaman movies that have an abuser as a lead in the 1st movie and when we get a Flash Movie (my favorite DC hero) and what happens we get an actor that went off the deep end

Batman sales is the reason why he sales more then any dc character he even out sales marvel characters in comic sales. batman so popular that new characters in his universe become popular and of course the bat family popularity. Everytime dc tries new characters or lesser known characters the books don't sell well thats why dc always put batman or superman in thoses characters books to try to get the readers to read

The arrowverse did that, or expanded previously minor characters like Felicity Smoak and John Diggle, or rework characters into new versions, like Eddie Thawne, XS, or Impulse being The Flash's child instrad of grand child

Damn you didn't have to do Captain Atom like that with the exploding joke. That guy is one of my top favorites in DC but writers really love to disrespect that guy and make him basically useless and weak especially compared to the other heroes.
The Sentry and/or The Void would be awesome, however, that would have to be a very high budgeted movie.

If there's one character I want to be 90-100% Correct it is him, same with Barry Allen Blond Hair, because we've only gotten brown Haired Barry Allen's in live Action so, Bart Allen/Impulse has Brown hair, not Barry. and there's a Female Impulse, Don't know her name, she also has Brown hair.
