@@self-consciousmess Yeah, at least in the early years of Batman. Basically for a long time after Batman started his crusade, he was so efficient that everyone just kinda assumed he had powers or was some sort of monster or something. That’s also why a lot of people didn’t even believe he existed for a while, he was basically just a rumor at first. Then the suit finds him and he learns all about the symbiote/martian conflict, as well as who john jones really is. Then, instead of negating the spider sense, he could be immune to his telepathy.

I’m a Marvel fan that recently discovered your channel and when you described Emma Frost and Flash as having a Batman/Catwoman dynamic I jumped because it actually makes so much sense. The best way I could explain it is Emma Frost works in a lot of ways as Professor X or Magneto, her primary concern will always be the safety of mutants and while she’s an X-Man she is one of the few who is willing to play dirty if it ensures people’s safety. I could easily see them clashing on the intellectual and morality level, more than the physical which would make for great tension and character relations.

    @john4348 5 месяцев назад +44

This is a really cool concept. I don't have much to add in terms of Marvel villains and DC heroes, but I did have some ideas for the other way around...
    *Iron Man vs Doomsday*
It would be an easy choice to put Doomsday against a heavy hitter like Hulk or Thor, but what makes Doomsday unique isn't that he's strong, it's that he can't be killed the same way twice, so he's a great villain for someone known for their ingenuity. You could have other Marvel heroes fighting Doomsday to subdue him and/or keep him away from civilians, but Tony would be the one who has to ultimately find the new way to kill him each time.
    *Captain America vs Vandall Savage*
Two men from another time. You could give these two a very long history where they had run ins in WWII and continue to cross paths today.
    *Thor vs Zod*
Two godlike beings who were exiled from their home world, with the main difference being that Thor learned from his mistakes and found redemption while Zod didn't.
    *Hulk vs Joker*
Joker is known for his "One bad day" philosophy that anyone can become a monster if pushed far enough, and Bruce Banner is a walking example of this idea. Banner would struggle to break free of Joker's manipulation, as Joker could easily stress him out enough to turn him into the Hulk whenever he wanted and could just as easily switch him back with his Joker toxins.
    *Spider-Man vs Mr. Mxyzptlk*
Spider-Man is someone who Mr. M would love messing with, as he's just serious enough to be bothered by his antics, but also relaxed enough to go with the flow once he gets used to it. Spider-Man's also known for his wit and would have a field day exploiting Mr. M's weakness.
    *Fantastic Four vs Clayface*
I imagine Reed would have a similar relationship to Basil as he does to Ben Grimm, but more bitter. He is somehow responsible for Basil's condition, and tirelessly tries to find a cure, but this isn't good enough for Clayface, who doesn't believe Reed will ever find a cure and just wants revenge. The FF and Clayface both have a versatile powerset, so the fights would be very fun, whether it's a 1v1 with one member, or a 4v1 with the whole team.
    *Black Panther vs Black Adam*
Both have powers based in magic (Black Adam more than Black Panther) and both rule a fictional country in Africa.
    *Punisher vs Catwoman*
Punisher is known for believing all criminals deserve to die, and Catwoman challenges this mindset, as she's fairly tame by comic book villain standards. A rivalry between these two would blur the line between hero and villain and leave the readers questioning who to root for.
    *X-Men vs The Elite*
The Elite is a team that fights against Injustice but slides into villain territory for being too ruthless in their pursuit, this is similar to X-Men's main rival team, the "Brotherhood of Mutants", and so would make a fitting rivalry. There's also the fact that both teams are led by a telepath.
*Guardians of the Galaxy vs Lobo*
You had Lobo as a contender for a member of DC's version of the Guardians, but he'd work even better as a rival to them. He represents how the Guardians used to operate before they became heroes and would have a similar relationship with them as the Ravagers do.

*Punisher vs Catwoman?* (And not some other character like Deathstroke or the League of Assasins?)
*Hulk vs Joker?* (And not some other character like Bane?)
It seems like your picks actually focus on their dynamics instead of the powerset, which is always a joy to see. However, more obvious match ups should not get ignored that easily.

    • @tfly999
      @tfly999 5 месяцев назад +2

These are very interesting picks (not that I entirely agree with all of them but The Elite vs the X-Men is inspired!) and I do hope we'll see DC Villains menacing Marvel Heroes in the future! I'd also like to add Luke Cage vs Killer Croc, and Dr. Strange vs Dr. Destiny.
The first would be like Mister Fish and Cottonmouth but just kinda better. Killer Croc would envy Luke Cage for being able to pass for normal AND stronger than him. And an invulnerable rival would force Waylon Jones to showcase his smarts, which go underutilized in media.
As to the second, Dr. Strange could fill the role Martian Manhunter played in Justice League when needing to rescue Avengers from Dr. Destiny's manipulations, or Morpheus' role in the Sandman when Dr. Destiny got a hold of the ruby. He's just powerful and versatile enough to present a challenge to the frankly OP Dr. Destiny.

@@maxjohnson6502 Eh, between Bullseye and the Jester, or something, Daredevil has both the homicidal tendencies and clownish dress sense covered already. I haven't thought of anyone for the Joker before but... hear me out: Wolverine.
In this case, Joker is reimagined as part of a a crude imitation of the Weapon X program, which went horribly wrong, much like Deadpool. He's got some military training and an affinity for chemical weaponry. He's distinctly hard to kill, immune to his own toxins, he might be semi-immortal like Logan. They hate each other on principle, and Logan's desire to uncover his past is directly tied to Joker's compulsion to keep his true past buried so it can remain 'multiple choice'.
EDIT: Needless to say this take on the Joker would borrow more heavily from the grungy Ledger aesthetic rather than spats-and-suit from B:TAS or the grill and face-tats from the Leto fiasco. To fit with a drifter, lone-wolf Logan type of story.

Here's my list (1 villain per hero and different from yours):
Chameleon (Batman)- One way to avoid the world's greatest detective is to confuse him by framing dozens of people for many crimes.
Mojo (Superman)- Mojo would take Superman and use him to boost his rating by putting him through tough challenges. I feel that a villain who admires the hero is an interesting curveball as well.
Loki (Wonder Woman)- Loki would annoy the living hell out of Diana and I'm all for it
Kang the Conqueror (The Flash)- I feel like he could be a Justice League threat too, but it would be an interesting challenge for the Flash to take out an entire council made up of the same guy. You could even have Barry team up with Reverse Flash to beat this guy. Eobard would accept because this guy is threatening his own temporal power.
Ego the Living Planet (Green Lantern)- The Corps would fight a planet. I've said enough.
The Mandarin (Aquaman)- He would try to get his hands on Atlantean tech, and would try to take over the kingdom, but Arthur would fight to stop him. Honestly, Mandarin could even pretend to be an ally at first before betraying Atlantis.
    SOME OTHER HEROES/TEAMS:
Kingpin (Green Arrow)- Maybe Oliver is running for mayor alongside Fisk while he also fight his as Green Arrow.
M.O.D.O.K. and A.I.M. (Teen Titans)- This team is always very lighthearted and this might be the silliest villain out there. Perfect antagonist while they're just beginning to work together as a team.
Galactus (Justice League)- It's interesting to see how the Justice League would try to convince Galactus not to eat Earth, and when it doesn't work, how they'd beat him.
Mephisto (John Constantine)- Both would annoy each other in an endless cycle of petiness.
Cable (Booster Gold)- Cable would hunt Booster for his time travel crimes.
Red Skull and Hydra (JSA)- I know you used it for Wonder Woman, but I think the JSA makes even more sense. They're usually based during World War 2, and it would be fun to see them take on a huge threat of an organization such as Hydra.

I think Sandman and MoleMan would both be good villains for Aquaman. Sandman is made of the earth and MoleMan leads an army of underground creatures, so they both work almost as symbols of dry land that contrast against the king of the ocean.
I think Dr. Doom would be just as good of a villain for Wonder Woman or Aquaman as he would for Superman, mainly because he is the leader of a country, so a rivalry with Diana or Arthur would go beyond a one on one fight and escalate to full on war.
Thanos would be a good Green Lantern villain. He could actually be a Justice League level villain, but I think he’d especially be a good villain for Hal, since his whole thing is collecting cosmic weapons, which the Lantern Corps in particular would have an interest in stopping.

      @DCMarvelMultiverse 5 месяцев назад +6

@@tyrellmultimedia No, it's not. Krypton's hubris is the reason they could not save their world. Having an extrinsic cause like Galactus erases that meaning and is off-brand. Galactus is about bringing about sacrifice, not hubris. Krypton ignores its oncoming destruction. You can't ignore a giant in a chair. Also, you have to build story infrastructure when building a reality, not cheap trivia.

14:57 I like the GL vs Venom fight for very different reasons. From a character standpoint you’re looking at two men derive their powers from alien sources, and are often tested to be “more than” their power source. Forgoing all the Corps and Symbiot baggage, I’d love to see a fight like that which ends in a fight between Hal and Eddie just as men who have different perspectives on the concept of power.

Mysterio is perfect for flash specially bc of the traps and how he could trick his illusions. A better villain for flash than emma would be Kang, literally both travel through time and kang could see him as a threat from the future and then trying to end flashes own history. That would be an insane and epic narrative ngl.

Superman fighting Sentry would be cool because I feel like Clark more than most would hate fighting someone so broken. Superman is all about saving people and positivity, while Sentry when in an antagonistic role is the exact opposite. Superman would really not want to hurt him but eventually might be forced to put him down.
A similar concept for Mangog because Mangog is basically just the tormented souls of an entire species that was the victim of Odin’s genocide. Yes he’s closely tied to Asgard in particular but Superman fighting a victim he sympathizes with would make a really good conflict for him.

Unless it changed since I last read a Marvel comic, the Juggernaut’s helmet is only here to protect him from telepaths. That said, his strength being magically acquired, it might play a part in how effective he would be against Superman. (And how effective Superman would be against him.)

Hear me out, Superman versus venom, OG Symbiot arc but with Superman. We love an alien villain in Superman stories, Clark would absolutely be interested in the Symbiot’s origins, and because he’s such a bastion of virtue, seeing him receive a power upgrade at the expense of his moral character would be an absolutely insane storyline. Plus you’d get to see venom powered Superman villains eventually. Maybe he has to team up with Live Wire, maybe after being abandoned by Clark it latches itself to Bizarro, or maybe Lex finds a way to produce Symbiot cells and takes over Metropolis Maximum Carnage style

Something about Electro in No Way Home makes me wonder, if he was attracted to power sources that give off huge energy like the arc reactor. Why not the Flash? Especially with his speed force. I bet something like the speed force would really catch Electro's eyes and imagine if he gets a taste of the speed force and granting him some sort of super speed as well. He already is kinda fast with how he teleports. So I think Electro can be a somewhat challenge to Flash as well. Kinda like a Superman and Parasite situation

1:20 little bit of a fun fact most of Batman’s Villains and Spider-Man’s Villains are so closely similar to each that both sides can swap one for the other. Kraven (Depending of which version comic or Insomniac) and Green Goblin are perfect villains for the Dark Knight to encounter. 4:24 For Superman I can see Dr. Doom as a Luthor with the same mindset and I would select the Absorbing Man as a parasite like character. 7:09 the demi-goddess amazon Wonder Woman I can see Amora the enchantress as the Circe for her to battle against and yes I can see the red skull/Hydra being another foe for her to fight, another fun fact to is at one point the mighty amazon and the Star spangled Avenger would have been together if a trade did happen between Marvel and DC back in the day.

Considering Emma Frost's recent appearances, I believe she'd have a deep respect for the Flash once she delves into his mind and tries to understand his desire to be a hero despite all the losses and suffering he has already endured. A running theme with Flash's rogues gallery is their subtle respect for the way he chooses to conduct himself despite him being their enemy.
