I agree with all points covered… Love my AR9 !! Originally built with magwell adapter. Later rebuilt with dedicated 9mm lower.. game changer no doubt. Neither would run with aftermarket drum mag.. fixin to hang it up n shoot it. I think it’s because there’s no metal feed lips like the Glock 33s. The plastic just feels real spongy. Runs flawlessly and accurate with Glock mags.

I got a Ruger PC Charger almost 2 years ago now and absolutely love it. It's such a cool piece of hardware. Breaks down to a very compact size, shoots great. I put a Midwest Industries handguard as well a muzzle compensator on it. The handguard looks great and adds some more mounting options. I used it to put a light on as well as another m-lok QD point for a 2 point sling.
Personally I'd go for something like this over an AR style 9mm PCC. Super fun to shoot like you mentions, breaks down easily to fit in a backpack, feels incredibly well made. I have an M&P 15 .22 if I want an AR platform to train on cheaply.
OH and I would advise AGAINST SGM Tactical magazines as well. Bought a couple and nothing but constant feed malfunctions. If you're going to go cheap on Glock mags, the 27 round PMAGS seem like the only way to go. I'll take 27 rounds of reliable feeding over 30+ rounds of malfunctions any day.

I believe this would all into the PDW (w/o fun switch) category vs the PCC as it’s still a pistol & therefore “Pistol” barrel length, not carbine length. Although, the point is still valid. Stribog, Recover Tactical 2020 would be another entry into this Braced Pistol concept/philosophy of use. If you’re looking into the PCC, consider actual Carbines. The KelTec Sub 2000 is an option in that category. Good videos, keep it up!

I prefer my PSA AR-9, I built it that utilizes a 9mm upper, and a AR-15 lower. I use Endomags that are 5.56, but with 9mm guts. I also use a Law tactical folding stock so its very compact. I like the AR platform as everything is familiar. It feeds well, and have also used an FRT which is fun, but the novelty wore off quickly so I run it with a 5lb trigger and makes more economical sense when it comes to ammo. Great video. I like this guy's attitude. I have two straight blow back AR style PCCs, one in 9mm and the other in 45 ACP. I have found the blow back weapons to be sensitive to ammo, esp. the 45. I get the 45 running like a top with steel-cased Russian ammo, but then I shoot Viet Nam era surplus ammo and it fails with the same setup (short-stroke FTF). You have to optimize it for the lowest power ammo. That's fine, except the muzzle rise is now more noticeable with the hotter ammo. In the 9mm I use Colt style stick mags. In the 45 I use Glock mags because the choices there are very limited. I like the Colt mags much better because the controls, including the mag release, are identical to the AR. Now, If you want something that is softer shooting, and more reliable, the CMMG radial-delayed blowback is fantastic! I have two of those as well (also 9mm and 45). Finally, The PC charger is on my list. Looks like a lot of fun with the folding stock ;)

CMMG Banshee for the WIN as you get the best of both worlds. The same manual of arms as your AR15 and the radially delayed blowback bolt mechanism mitigates the recoil. Shoot a Banshee alongside someone else's AR9 and you will feel an obvious difference in recoil. And in case you're wondering, my Banshee has been super reliable (like easy over 1K rounds).

I think the law tactical folding adapter might work too so it could be a travel/truck gun as well as home defense. I hear great things about those banshees.

Yeah if you have the money I'd say a CMMG Banshee or SIG MCX would be the top choice for a 9mm platform with AR controls, plus reduced recoil and better for suppressor use... But the MCX is slightly more expensive and requires pricey dedicated (not glock) magazines so that's definitely a big consideration. So the Banshee wins out unless you have a banshee running colt smg mags or the converted 9mm insert p-mags... Unless I hade crates of quality colt smg mags laying around I'd definitely purchase the glock mag version and avoid the adapted p-mag configuration for anything besides slightly more realistic training, and only for training (the reliability on those 9mm conversation kit p-mags has been significantly worse than dedicated 9mm mags, especially after lots of use, atleast from what I've heard, mainly with bolt lock issues and occasional feed problems) Glock fed Banshee for the win 🏆 😉

@@MrJones-bg4sz I've heard the cmmg pmag 9mm conversion mags are reliable while also giving you the option to use a reg lower. Seems like a decent option to me which I plan on exploring this year.

Love my PCC. It is also a good option/consideration for home defense vs the potential for over-penetration with .223/5.56. My go-to combo is my PCC (that accepts Glock mags) and my G45.

There are test videos showing the 9mm, 45 etc punching through more walls than .223 since they don't break up/fragment.

If I get a pcc I'd had to get one to accept my Beretta 92fs mags, I've got a few handfuls of them. I don't see myself getting one but a pcc sounds like fun to shoot, I'm happy with my ak47 and two handguns. To plink around and hunting I like using a PCP air rifle they make them up to 30, and 50 caliber.

Ya thoses pistol carbine conversion kits are freekim sweet so natural feeling light weight! Its a way to make your pistol to be the ultimate all around best option for carriying as truck gun and or self defence gun! I have a fee an i love um! I deer hunted with my rock island 1911. 45cal with the micronnie carbine conversion kit!! I can ring steel consistsntly at 100yds with a 3-4 inch group! That would have been damn ner impossible eith no kit freehand. They allow me to make a very accurate shot on a animale for a quick humaine kill or death.. its stupid that they outlawed them in certin areas here in the states. But ya! You can flat het some work done! With them!! Sooo fun an easy to shoot❤
