Question; mine is 2 weeks old and i didn't realize the uce melts to the bottom. My machine started leaking water at the bottom. What did i do wrong?

Empty the water every 24 hours!?! I use bottled water that would make a lot of wasted water. I think you just convinced me i don't want this machine

Truly how’s this cleaning mode? I hate the cleaning mode on the GE opal.

I'd like to know if anyone has tried taking the nugget ice from one of these machines and putting it into a refrigerator door ice dispenser to keep it frozen. I'd be curious if the ice would stay frozen longer in a drink, and how/if the dispenser would work.

Have you found any good smaller ice makers? We got this one and returned it because it’s so big.

Anyone know how to fix the constant squeeling sound? Mine started doing that about a year later. Sounds like a hamster wheel going ham

Who makes one of these that is insulated? This was a winner until you mentioned it's not insulated.

Does it stop making ice when it is full or do you have to manually turn it off?

The manual cleaning of this machine is a pain! But I enjoy my ice

Could someone tell me how to drain excess water from the bottom if it fills?

The GE opal does the same thing. It melts and then remakes the ice

Bag it and freeze it. It works!

That’s because it’s not a freezer, it’s simply an ice maker. I have a big ice maker in my basement built into my cabinets under our counters in the bar area. It was like $1100 and it does the same. It constantly makes ice. As the ice beings to melt, it has a sensor and makes more. My kids learned the hard way that it’s not a freezer when they put their pints of ice cream in there and it was soup the next day! LOL
