Train after train on two different lines - August 11, 2020 in Cameron and Williamsfield, IL

Day four of our excursion to the Land of Lincoln again found us waking early and heading farther west, this time to the small town of Cameron, situated a few miles west of Galesburg where the former BN and AT&SF cross over one another. Congestion plagued eastbound traffic on the Chillicothe Sub from our arrival to our departure, with a stop-and-go parade spanning practically the whole day. The Ottumwa Sub, while not as busy as its former Santa Fe counterpart, still served as a worthy side dish to the main course of BNSF and Union Pacific trackage rights trains on the Chilli, including each California Zephyr along with several unit trains, one of which sporting the only Warbonnet locomotive we saw over the week. As the day neared its end, we moved east to two different locations on either side of Williamsfield, where I sought to create a modern take on a classic video I enjoyed since I was little ( • ATSF, If pigs could fl... ). Through trial and error, we landed on the right spot with our second attempt, and concluded the day's railfanning at the Cedar Bluff Road crossing. After not quite getting the right shot, we would end up revisiting Williamsfield for the first half of the next day.
