Clear skies over the Chilli - August 14, 2020 from Odell to Kinsman to Mazon, IL

On our final day in Illinois, my father and I decided to go to as many spots as possible to close out the trip. Luckily, a majority of the places we hadn't been yet that week were relatively near one another, making it easy to get them all in. Our first stop was in Odell, to catch a small slice of Amtrak's Lincoln Service before moving north to the Chillicothe Sub, first to Kinsman, then to adjacent Verona and Mazon. Rail traffic moved consistently throughout the day, all the while I was fighting against the free space on my memory card. I had brought three with me, and the first and second cards were filled by days two and four respectively. Our day concluded as light and I ran out of storage to conserve, wrapping up an excellent week trackside in Illinois, creating fond memories similar to those of our 2017 trip, as well as over eleven hours of footage.
