Fantastic! You solved. a problem no one else has been able to and which I have been plagued by for ages! My zoom guitar lessons are about to get WAY better and less frustrating!
I'm so glad this was helpful for you! 🎉 Hope that maybe you'll be able to stop by and say hey during one of our live streams someday! (Friday at 10:00am PT) 🙂
You, my dear, are a heaven send! I already had the "Original Sound for musicians" options set correctly, I just simply never noticed I also had to flip that toggle in the top left! Thank you so much!
You're very welcome! ♥
Thank You!!! OMG! If it wasn't for you I would have never noticed the option on/off in the main window. I'm glad I learned it from you!
So happy to help!! 🥳
Wonderful! Thanks for the help and many more for the positive attitude.

I am an attendee. My zoom caller plays music that broadcasts fine on my phone, but not on my computer. How do I solve it?
Thank you! Zoom tech support needs to watch this video and commit it to their memory. I've tried to find a solution for this for months, including talking to Zoom tech support directly. Nothing helped. Finally I found this video. People share videos and sound all the time on Zoom calls. Insane that the default settings aren't set up to make this work for everyone.
Glad it helped!
You're the best Luria! Thank you. Changed my settings. Cheers!!
I was gonna say the same!
Yay!! So happy this was helpful 🤗 Thanks for watching!
@@rebeccagruenspan1987 Woohoo!!! Glad this helped you too! 😊 I'm on a mission to end Zoom headaches!

I host what I call a Music Listening Club where 4 to 8 music lovers of like mind will meet at my home with each attendee telling me in advance what song they want to see and hear (almost always a RUclips video) which I play on the large screen TV in my living room. Recently one of the members moved out of town but still wanted to participate. When I did a test run of using Zoom the sound kept on breaking up. I was at a loss of what to do next until I saw your video. With that one audio setting change there is no longer a sound problem. I doubt I would have found that on my own so thank you very much.

Thank you!! I had this problem in my workout class this morning. I hadn't changed the settings but somehow the 'sound for musicians' wasn't showing and my Zoomers could only hear my voice. I tried to sing a lot - ha!
You're welcome!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was going crazy trying to figure out what was going on, I didn;t see the toggle on the upper left and VOILA! My goodness thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The best video on zoom audio issue.👏
Wow, thanks! ♥
Thank you for this video! Is there a similar fix for zoom on iPhone/iPad?
It's the same - the setting is not device-dependent. Hope it helps you too!
Woww wonderful! Thank you so muchhhhhh ❤❤❤ problem solved 👏👏👏👏👏
You're welcome!
I've been trying to find a fix for my Mom's issue. She joins a Zoom call with her religious organization. She can hear all sound, except for when they are playing music for the worship song. No one else has said they are having the same issue. I can't find any reason why she can't hear that portion but everyone else can. I was thinking that if it were on the side of the Host, others wouldn't be able to hear it, either. Also to note, she listened to another religious meeting coming to her from another location, same issue. However, when listening to it coming from a third location, she could hear the music. Anyone have any thoughts on how this could be happening? First, I thought it was user error, however, when she was at my house, I tried finding a fix, couldn't. I'm not a pro but I can usually work my way around a PC.
Thank you!!!!!
You're welcome! 🎉
Thank you so much for sharing!! I teach virtual group fitness classes and do personal training sessions. I'm able to share my music through the laptop with Spotify, however, if I try to use a Bluetooth speaker next to my laptop my participants can't hear the music. I have watched countless videos on this and still can't find a solution.
Have you checked this out yet? community.zoom.com/t5/Meetings/Using-an-external-speaker-while-sharing-music-via-Zoom/m-p/48118
Did you mean you can use echo cancellation w/ headphones to give your voice priority over background music? And, do you know a solution for the actual environment showing through your Zoom virtual background by via the gap in your headphones?
No, this is a setting inside of Zoom.
The virtual backgrounds will let things bleed through, which is one of the reasons we don't recommend using them.
Hey, is there any fix for even when Original Sound for Musicians is still on but after a few seconds the music dulls a little?
Things like Internet connection, Bandwidth, Network performance, etc. also can impact the quality, and unfortunately there's only so much you can do to control those.
So Sweet to catch U up here. You are a Saviour Next to Jesus Christ for me. God bless 🙌 you more Mam

It’s still not working, I’m trying to show my students a movie and the music is silent but the words are clear
Thank u so much for the video ma'am. I'm also facing this problem. My students can't hear my instrument on zoom, but it's totally fine with Google meet. Is it about my computer sound settings?
It depends on what computer you are using, sound card, etc.
Ohhh i hope this will work, the audio issues of zoom is killing me whenever we have meeting.
🤞
I have a new laptop with Windows 11 (2 weeks old). When using zoom, everyone can hear when I speak however they cannot hear when I play my organ. I have the audio microphone settings set as you described. On my other laptop with windows 10, everything was working fine for 2 years until early Jan/2023 when the same problem started happening…others can hear my voice but cannot hear my organ. Again, I have all the settings as you described.
Exactly it’s the same with me aswell… till beginning of Jan everything was fine but since 3 weeks I am facing this issue and I have even followed through all these settings which she mentioned
I wonder if there's a Windows 11 issue? Which version of Windows 11 are you using... Home, Pro, S, Enterprise, ...?
Curious, which version of Windows 11?
@@LiveStreamingPros I am using Windows 11 Home, Version 22H2
It’s happening to me also on IOS…with all the settings you described …
But what about if you are using a headset with microphone?. I am having the problem that nobody can hear the video that I am playing for my karaoake, they only hear my voice. If I sign on on Zoom in another computer is the other way around. I don't know what else to do.
That's correct. If you need to share other audio, the easiest way to do that is to share your desktop or bring it in from a second computer using a capture card and software like Ecamm or vMix.
On Linux when I download zoom, I don't even have the option called Original sound for musicians. What should I do?
You'll need to teach out to Zoom support for help with this... support.zoom.us/hc/en-us
You forgot to add something! After we did all you said, it was still a bit garbled. Then once we shared our screen, we clicked on the 3 dots on the right of the screen and clicked "share computer audio" and WALA! That fixed it. Thanks....
Glad you got it working for you!
Okay, I was hoping this video would help me but my settings doesn't look like that and I don't have that option. I have the $150 a year zoom account but did not have this option... any ideas?
You'll need to reach out to the Zoom support team to see what the issue is with your account.
Thank you for the Zoom fix. Can you do Restream next please? I use a Rodecaster Pro and Restream for my podcast and when I play music into the Rodecaster the audio on Restream sounds horrible. Ugh! help
Have you taken a look at our Rodecaster Pro Ultimate guide playlist?

@@LiveStreamingPros excellent! I’ll go check it out now to see if it will help fix my problem. Thank you. 👍🏼👍🏼
I have the Rodecaster 1, will this apply to it as well or just the Rodecaster 2?
That playlist is focused on the RCP2, but some of the ideas should also work for the original RCP.
doesn't work. Screen is being shared just fine, but no sound still
Thanks, but I already did this and it is not working. I play piano and my students here it with glidging. I use interface and mixer and it was sounding great last year. On my Imac is sound great, no problem. but when I connect it to my Laptop Envy Windows 11 , the piano sound is glidging sound very bad. Please, help!!!
I went through almost all the videos out there and referred every article that I came across. I finally managed fix the issue for myself. Hoping this will benefit someone else.
Please go to your laptop’s settings, select your default microphone (I use an external microphone) and select one out of Telephone or Dictation or Tape Recorder quality (below 16000 Hz). After changing this I recorded myself in a Zoom meeting and finally I could hear my violin playing.

This is so frustrating! I just got a new ASUS Laptop and was very excited to start using zoom with it. Audio and Video works very well. I can hear online audio very well however whenever someone is sharing their screen, I cannot hear the instrumental of their music they are sharing. whenever I Leave audio and rejoin, I hear it really good for like 1 second and then it goes back to being muffled voice. somebody, please help.
They have to make these settings changes as well.
I think this is the same issue my Mom is having, however, no one else (listening) is having the same issue. I was thinking if it were host side, she wouldn't be the only one having the problem, right?
I tried all the options maam but still there’s no improvement please help. I play guitar and sing every week Everytime I sing with guitar my voice is getting jarred and the instrument is not heard to people at all.. I tried all the settings but to no effect please help me out!
In your audio settings in Restream, did you disable "Noise suppression"? You should do that when you're playing musical instruments. You may also want to disable echo cancellation to stop audio processing from Restream's side, and also enable High-resolution audio.

I'm so DONE with trying to make this work. My students are too. Zoom is putting a frequency limiter on all frequencies above the range of regular speech. Speech is a small part of the range of the piano, around 3000k. Anyone with ideas?

Sounds great, but they've changed everything. I can't find the audio tab anymore.

Do you have to be the host or co-host to play live music?
It depends on how you set up your Zoom call. 👍
Hi I have tried every thing you said and still nobody can hear my harmonica (that could be a good thing!) I can hear them ok. I have to use an external mic for them to hear me, Any suggestions? Thanks Roy

@@LiveStreamingPros thanks for this link! While your original instructions from this video weren't working for me on MacOS, still there was no sound, the thing that changed everything was joining the meeting with "original audio" and only then the button for "musician sound" became visible! That's what they are explicitly saying in this article and this was a total gamechanger for me!
Does this fix also apply to iphone app?
Yes, it works in Zoom wherever you are using it! 👍
I was not able to find audio under settings. I have Zoom Pro
