Sharing screen with SOUND through Zoom! | Tips & Tricks

This is one of those things that you can't work out until someone just points it out and then all of sudden you wonder who the heck you missed it!
Vital for presentations with video clips, sound effect or music this tiny little checkbox is the difference between everyone hearing your presentation as well as seeing it!
TOP TIP ::: When sharing computer sound ALL of your computer sound will come through Zoom so be sure to close all other apps properly or you may get the occasionally 'ding!' of an incoming email which isn't ideal...

Hi, when I share a video on zoom or skype, the music always gets distorted and mostly silent but we can hear the dialogues properly. Why is this so?

There is usually a setting that allows you to optimise the audio of a video clip during playback. Each platform is a little different, but in Zoom it's within the Screenshare settings before you play the video. You should select the "share sound" check box and also the "optimize for video clip" check box.

I forget to click this share sound checkbox and leads to problem. Is there a way to make it automatically checked every time I share screen?

Unfortunately there is currently no way to set this automatically. However, you can also share device audio after you have begun sharing by locating the share toolbar, clicking 'More', and then selecting 'Share Sound'.
