Zoom: How To Share A YouTube Video with Sound

Have you tried to share a RUclips video on Zoom, only to have your students tell you that they can't hear it? Or that the video was choppy and pixelated?
If that's the case, there's a simple fix. Just click two buttons at the bottom of the Share Screen window. For more information check out the video.
To share computer audio such as RUclips, Pandora, etc. during screen sharing, click on Share Computer Sound.

How do I include my small thumbnail video profile box above the video. It stays up in the corner and I want above the video. When I click those buttons I am removed from the screen completely?

Thanks for the video. My zoom was working fine, but after the last update, something changed, when I click on share screen, it goes directly to screen, and doesn’t show me options anymore to select computer Audio, not sure if it has to do with using multiple monitors or not, I’ve tried both ways. I’m on a Mac, any ideas why this might be happening?

this i already knew but im trying to figure how to share video with one audio source in a zoom room (telepresence unit).
sharing content this way makes the audio play from the laptop/dekstop along while playing it from the telepresence.

Thanks for that. Unfortunately, Zoom blocks my sound as not permitted by Admin. Since I am the admin for my paid account Zoom won't tell me why. I've gone thru my settings ad nauseum. Also, my bigger disappointment with Zoom is that I naively thought their customer service would improve when I opened my paid account. Not true, all I get is the highly automated, to no avail, chat support--which of course does't answer my query just some of the key words in my query. If anybody has a solution I'd appreciate the help as asking Zoom for help seems quite useless. Thank you kindly.

Thanks for making a video that shows the same problem I have. Can you show how to resolve the problem when you check the boxes and get a flag that says you have to do something else before you are allowed to share sound?

Are you running Zoom inside the browser as well? If that’s the case, you would just need to open a new tab where you could play the video.
So:
- Share your screen with sound
- click on the new tab open to RUclips
- play the video

It makes me wonder if you’re sharing a different window than the one that’s playing the video?
You also might want to try to update your Zoom client so you have the latest version:
