    Good with all your explanations.... But when in an emergency or using zoom app for the first time... We usually don't have this much time to sort out audio issues... What to enable and disable is more quick enough.

      You're right! Unfortunately there isn't a universal quick fix since everyone's set-up is different but I have found the mute all function is helpful in a pinch if you have several participants in your meeting who are having audio issues. Also having anyone log out and log back in can sometimes help solve audio issues.

    When I do the audio testing I only hear the sounds a bit then it goes silent. I have a very important job interview and they are doing it by zoom. So I tested it and do not hear any sound when I test the audio?
    Also do I have to sign up for Zoom to do this interview, or just go into the meeting they sent me? Thank you!

    We have a zoom at work for new hires. Some speakers talk well ,clear but as I think you said thier tone can lower then it’s hard to hear them . Would you think a Bluetooth speaker or sound bar may help? Plus I can try your tips on settings also ! Thanks

      Hi, is the challenge that it's hard for attendees to hear speakers? First off, speakers should use wired headphones or an external microphone and then for attendees, yes if they can use headphones or utilize a speaker of some form if you're broadcasting into a room of people, that will help set your audio up for success!

      You should be able to troubleshoot for your phone, is the issue with people hearing you or you hearing presenters?

    What's the right zoom version for this? I can't seem to see those things in the zoom I am using now..

      These features are still applicable in the current version. This video is from 2021 so some of the look and feel of Zoom is different but the audio controls are still in the same place, the little up arrow next to your mute and unmute button. Hope that helps!

    Hi, thanks. Doesn't turning on my original sound as host only effect my audio input?
    I had this suppression with a singer on a call i was hosting & i had to ask them to turn on their original sound setting.
    Thanks :)

    • @loganclements
      @loganclements  Год назад

      Yes, in Zoom, everyone controls their own audio settings so if you enable original sound, it would impact your input. You'll have to do what you did to coach others to adjust their settings.

    Sorry forgot mention that the host can hear and see me and I can see and hear them, but again once they start to screen share with me, the audio does not work

    Hey there! The “turn on original sound” causes feedback/echoing for my guest on zoom, but not for me. I’ve tried everythinggggg to fix this issue but no results have worked. Can somebody help me?

    • @loganclements
      @loganclements  Год назад

      Hi Cameron, great question! Are you using an external microphone or the one that is built into your laptop? If you're sending feedback, it could be that you need to disable original sound for calls based on your set-up but your microphone answer will give me some clues on what's going on. Also, have you updated your Zoom software in the last few months?

    I run Windows 11 and the zoom app no longer allows me to hear any video audio being shared to me by the meeting host. The video picture comes thru but not the audio. I've done updates within the app, uninstalled and reinstalled the app and also uninstalled the PCs audio system of which Windows reinstalled after reboot, nothing is working.

      Hi Helen, I'm sorry to hear that you're still having issues with audio in Zoom. So you lose audio and cannot hear them when they start to share their screens? Or can they no longer hear you?

    • @helenharnish3599
      @helenharnish3599 Год назад

      @@loganclements Hi Logan,
      Yes once the host starts to screenshare, the audio does not come through, but video does.
      Otherwise they can hear/see me and they do for me as well.

    • @loganclements
      @loganclements  Год назад

      @@helenharnish3599 That is very odd - their screensharing shouldn't impact your audio feed. Are you using a tablet or is it a laptop that you're running Windows 11 on?

    • @helenharnish3599
      @helenharnish3599 Год назад

      I uninstalled the Windows sound system (Realtek) and when I rebooted, Windows reinstalled it (as it should) but this was not the issue either, all good as far as Windows is concerned

    • @helenharnish3599
      @helenharnish3599 Год назад

      I think I may have found the issue causing this problem. I had added an external gaming monitor (HDMI connection) and tried just playing a youtube video. The sound there too did not come through. Once the gaming monitor, which is not equipped with either audio or camera features was disconnected from the laptop, sound DID come through. Now I will wait for next zoom meeting to see if in fact it is the external gaming monitor that is causing the problem

    When I use zoom on my tablet with my headphones I can hear the other person but they can't hear me. Even with all the permissions turned on for the app still not working. Even When I Unmute and turn on audio on the zoom app they still can't hear me. My tablet is new I just bought it so Idk what the issue is. Idk if it's my tablet or zoom

    • @livia298

      Same idk if it’s the zoom or the tablet issue

    • @loganclements
      @loganclements  Год назад +1

      Hi! Yes it might be a Zoom issue since you said the tablet is new. My suggestion would be uninstall the Zoom app and then redownload it. Another option is to check for updates to make sure you're using the latest version of Zoom. Lastly, it could be an issue with your headphones. I've had some speakers have issues where their headphone mic just stopped working and it was time to get a new pair. Hope that helps!
