I recently went with the afe rebel side outlet (in front of tire). I'm happy with it, sounds good for a 6 cylinder. Comes with easy to follow instructions to do everything yourself pretty easily. The bonus of the side outlet for me was I no longer need that ugly heat shield around my spare tire.
And the flowmaster isn't annoying loud. I wonder how it is at around 2000rpm with the engine lugging when the 3.6L has an annoying drone Which eventually is freeway cruising speeds and lugging to go up hill, so I'm trying to find something to mask that, I thought a K&N intake would give it a more throatier sound, which it does, but it's also crazy loud and sounds like an angry wookie when when driving up hill I like the Gibson dual as well
After 3 colorados and three different mufflers (turbo tube, magnaflow, and stock) the only way to eliminate drone (the constant sound at about 2k rpm under load like going up a slight grade at 70 mph) the best solution is leave factory muffler and remove the resonator. It will sound a little better outside but no different inside. After all, isn’t that the goal is make it sound a little more ballsy? Give a listen to a 2020 Silverado with the 4.3 (if u can find one) it sounds bold and just has the stock muffler and screen type resonated tailpipe. I did have the flapper removed as it does make it quieter with it. I have a startup on my page but no drive by. You can hear it under a load outside as I did listen when a friend punched it for me. 🙂 Thanks for posting this.
The magnaflo dual system sounds like a good system for my truck?! Hard to tell listening to the comparison on my phone. V6 engines are difficult to make sound as cool as a V8 which is what most people compare it to. Imo
Surprisingly I thought the Gibson and Borla sounded the best. Third choice was the MBRP. I thought either the Flowmaster or Magnaflow were going to be tops but sounded like beat down autos that had about 400K on it and the exhaust was dragging on the ground. I just bought my first Chevrolet Colorado after owning two Tacoma's prior. Their ridiculous price and shocking engine troubles had me running toward anything but another Toyota (I was going to try a Tundra and my last Ford had the horrible 6.0 that cost me $15K in repairs and maintenance in a single year.) After being disappointed by the over-priced, under-performing characteristics of most vehicles made during my 54 years all I'm hoping for is not having to shell out $30K in cash again for quite some time.
on my 2018 redline v6 I just went to a random shop and got a good deal on a resonator and muffler delete, sounds great honestly. Flow master cat back is the only one that sounds better imo.
Most the singles sounded the same, and the fake ( one into two) duals also sounded a like. All OK! But with further research the Borla seems to be the only one that is ALL 304 Stainless, some are not even stainless but aluminized, most are 409 stainless. So the Borla will be my choice. I'd even put "shorty Headers on if I could find them.
They all sound like crap. The stock sounds best. Too bad nothing comes close to sounding like a V8. I don’t want my Colorado sounding like a ricer so I’ll keep it stock.
Why even bother it's a V6 all you hear here is a lawnmower sound becoming more increasingly annoying .. Don't get me wrong great little truck, but my vote would be ..keep it OG
@@gtileo well ya, but in no realm a truck should sound like a sporty v6 IMHO.. Again not hating, I got one myself aside from my Silverado. I think the Colorado is the best midsize they have done at GM
@@MichelLinschoten no disagreement there. The V6 in the canyon/Colorado may have the but the sound is trash. The biggest complaint I have with my Canyon is the noise it makes.

I like the look and sound of a dual exit so the magnaflow cat-back dual has my vote. But a close second is that Corsa Performance. Sounded bad ass.
Borla sounded clean and I like the ruggedness from the Flowmaster

I think I’m going w the corsa performance cat back
Honest answer: none of them sound good enough to tempt me to change from stock.
Truth.
I would get the Corsa performance

Corsa Performance Cat Back is best.
Flowmaster FX cat back is an improvement but struggling to justify the cost.
I picked up a ‘22 last week. I think I like the Gibson option, but I’ll wait until it’s paid off and take another look…
The magnaflo dual system sounds like a good system for my truck?! Hard to tell listening to the comparison on my phone.

The flow master flowfx sounds ok out of all of them
The MBRP Sounded pretty good too?! 🤷🏼♂️
The video you got the magnaflow from. That was a car in the background. It doesn’t actually sound like that

What is the 2nd flow master? A Flowmaster 44? Thank you
Top three are magnaflow flow master and borla
The borla sound is perfect for the colorado!
Or the second flowmaster, nice tone and not annoyingly loud
Flowmaster exhaust
Which one is on the truck if you order the GM Cat-Back Performance Exhaust Upgrade Kit and have the dealer install it?
Corsa I believe.
Flowmaster FlowEX but will it work and sound the same on my 2018 ZR2?
Have you gone ahead and purchased anything yet? I also have a 2018 ZR2, I think I like the MBRP cat-back.
I went with the Flowmaster! Love the sound.
I like the sound of the Magnaflow but it's not something I'll get till the factory exhaust starts going bad.

You can’t find them for the Colorado. They have a different type of headers
They don't have headers at all the heads have built in primaries so they dump directly into the collector which is part of the downpipes.
Flowmaster exhaust 16647 zm
Flow Master FX Cat
Getting that one
Magnaflow catback
I like the mbrp pro
Same. 😊
Will these fit 2019 chevy colorado
They all sound like crap. The stock sounds best. Too bad nothing comes close to sounding like a V8. I don’t want my Colorado sounding like a ricer so I’ll keep it stock.
why would you advertise exhausts in the thumbnail that arent included in the video. quite deceptive ya know
Gibson magnaflow or afe. Others sound loke fart cans.
In my opinion, they ALL suck. Not ONE of them sounds good enough to justify the price in my opinion. I guess I'll keep my crappy factory exhaust.
Why even bother it's a V6 all you hear here is a lawnmower sound becoming more increasingly annoying ..

MBRP…
Stock !! All others sound hideous and would be terrible on a long trip.
These are terrible. Unless a shocking hp or mpg benefit, no reason to do this. Save some $ & buy a civic
How much can I tow with a civic?
Or use the money to do a leveling kit inside.
