@@bryceerban947 because the front end is different than the earlier years Imma have to wait until new cosmetic stuff comes. But for now probably a petal commander, tuned to run a bit better, intake and exhaust for now
Hi Jason, I've been searching for a kit to power the rear sliding window. Pretty much useless from the front seat and would like to open it up on occasion while driving country roads. thanks!
I’ve bought a few of these after watching. A few things to note, make sure to read the reviews before buying. A lot of people claimed the plugs on the tail lights don’t keep out moisture. I used dielectric grease on mine and have no problems. Some after market 3rd brake lights leak around the light housing during heavy rain and leak inside the truck so I used silicone around the edges to make sure it was completely sealed and again, no issues. I’ve ordered the exhaust tip but some reviewers say that water gets inside and causes it to rust. One guy said to drill a hole in the bottom for water to drain. So I’ll try that. Thanks for the video. Your truck looks great.
One thing I've done before is buy BBQ paint and painted under the vehicle, doing the top part is a little tricky but doable. I can't remember but I'm pretty sure it was also a rust oleum product and I never had any surface rust. Something to consider...
Excellent ideas! I just purchased a 2021 Colorado LT extended cab with 16,000 miles on it, can’t wait to do some of the things that you did. Thanks for the tips! Jim.
Ok I’m not a huge fan of red, but that looks great with the black accents. I used MORIMOTO 2stroke LED’s in my WT reflector type headlights, because at the time they were the only ones that could spin in the mounting sockets, so the led elements could face side to side within the reflective housing, so the illumination does not blind oncoming drivers, but makes a huge difference, especially with the high beams done also, but still no fog lights yet. But the best mod I installed is the Bilstein 5100 struts and shocks, with the front set at 2” lift/level and the rear stock, so my towing is not effected. But the struts are longer with extra suspension travel and superior dampening especially over the stock struts and shocks, that really enhanced the ride and especially handling, on an off road, speed bumps are now fun! Without any bottoming out! That CAI you used that keeps the engine cover, does so while still using the intake track through a restrictive silencing muffler type of area, that is not worth the looks of the cover. The K&N black series has the dyno chart to prove it.
Pretty interested in that light bar and clean bracket install, will use your links if I decide to get them. I've done a set of mudflaps and tan softopper for my '16 emerald green SLE.
I have a 2018 3.6gas too. I have a Corsa exhaust, K&N cold air intake, and pedal commander. I like the upgrades you've done. The lift is nice. Thinking bout a 3in.
Did the corsa and cold air intake break warranty cause I spent the extra cash on the 60k mile warranty cuz colorados aren’t too reliable after buying it realizing it restricts what I can do to it
@@nickamato1269 Breaks no warranties. I could've installed mine but I had a local shop do it just incase something went wrong. Stuff like air intakes and exausht don't usually hurt the warranty. If you change the drivetrain by lifting it or changing the tire height, you're warranty might not cover it. I've seen folks put superchargers on them and that'll void the factory warranty. Why are you saying Colorados aren't reliable? Mine has been running fine. I had to change the transmission fluid because it was doing some weird studder but Chevy knew about it and fixed it for free. doesn't do it at all now. What else goes wrong? I might be able to get to it before it's a problem.
@@sgtrickards5683 they tend to have power steering and misfiring problems I had one before that was misfiring, it was a 2015 tho I believe Chevy fixed most of the problems I ran it into the ground and got a 2022 z71. Corsa exhaust sounds nuts on the 3.6 tho I’m glad it doesn’t void the warranty
@@nickamato1269 Ok. I hope I don't have any of those issues. Yeah....it sounds awesome. My intake whistles pretty loud now from the mass of air. The pedal commander wakes it up. It's super quick off the line. It'll yank you back in the seat. I found a ram air hood that has vents on it. The intake scoop directs the air over the air filter while your driving. That's my next upgrade.
Great ideas! I have a 2021 Canyon. It's white, and I'm thinking of going with blue trim. So far, I've only changed the interior lights to blue. They have red lights, too.
very well done vid. Loved all the meticulous information, pointing out the not so obvious niches.. Very nice truck. I have a 2022 GMC Canyon. I will definitely being doing a few of these mods.
That's a good lookin' ride! I've got the '16 "Midnight" with Westin brush guard and put a magnaflow dual exhaust on the back. Weathertech rain guards on the windows. Rigid "midnight" light cube mounted to the brush guard.
Justin Have you ever considered mounting RC light PODs under your rear bumper in order to increase brightness when backing, or for just increased lighting when working off the tailgate.
go rhino rc2 front bush bar, the gm sport bar for the back, fender flares, zr2 wheels is what i have on my 2017 z71 in grey. thats all the mods so far for appearance, next thing will be a roof rack set up for a tent set up
Hi, I just bought a low milage 2017 Chevy Colorado mint condition, and I love it! I'm a farm girl by origin, so always drove various trucks since age 10! My truck is black, so I would like a black and silver color scheme. I love your channel, so could you tell me what the first mods should be? Appreciate your advice!
Justin, trying to figure out where I can get replacements for these chrome floor plates on my 2017 Chevy Colorado. Not sure how to get you a picture of what I’m talking about.
I have a 2019 Colorado 4×4 WT but upgraded everything from remote start to the fog lights and front led with halos plus my interior is leather. I decided to get the Akkon led rear lights like yours but after 4 months and first snow storm they crapped out. They caused my backup camera to stay on and reverse lights to flicker. I put the original ensembles back on with led replacement bulbs with resisters built in. Hopefully that doesn't happen to you but I think you have a better brand
Just bought a 2017 Z71 Colorado, and has anyone noticed a little shake when Idling? Just wanted to hear if anyone who actually owns one has felt this before?
I have a base model 2020 Colorado. I would love to have the radio buttons on the steering wheel. Anyone have tips on how to do this? Are the wires pre ran?
How did you get the light bar in there? You said there isn't any cutting required, but my bumper has a bunch of vertical braces in that little gap. I guess I should have checked that before I bought the light bar. I'd love to know what you did about those braces.
I have a 2017 Colorado. I replaced my tail lights with led bulbs n now my turn signals go turbo speed. When u changed ur tail lights did urs blinkers do that also?
How much did the 2in level kit and tires affect the gas mileage? Love the look but also love the gas mileage I get currently. And is that the stock wheel/tire size or did you go bigger?
That is a sharp Colorado! I like that you stayed with wheels and tires that are in proportion. I hate the bloated tire look that so many people do to their trucks. You didn’t show what you did to the bed, if anything.
My son just bought a 2022 GMC Canyon Elevation and the center console no longer has the USB ports located there. There is a smooth plastic plug-cover hiding the area. I would like to add a 2-port USB port there for extra charging options (since the spot is still there). A USB that works the Apple Car Play would really be awesome but that might be a stretch. What can you do there?
I literally just came home with a brand spanking new 2021 Chevy Colorado Z71 in Satin Steel and just discovered your channel! Subb'd to ya and can't wait to mod my truck! The best looking truck compared to the competition!

So right off the bat "all the mods listed below" doesn't seem accurate since the first mod mentioned [and what I was hoping to find out about] is the replacement of the low beam with an HID kit. I've done an LED upgrade, looking for an improvement. I know this post is a bit old, but still people out here doing this stuff... GREAT OTHERWISE THOUGH! Definitely made a "to do" list besides the headlights.
