Hey I know this is gonna be funny but when my fiancé was pregnant she used to have me play my fightstick around her and the my son would actually stop moving in her stomach and go to sleep 3 years later my son wants me to play Tekken and listen to my Etokki as he lays down on the couch and goes to sleep.

The Korean bat top (that are included in the stick) is NOT the same as a korean lever (joystick) just to make things clear, to install a fanta myougen or ettoki stick in a sanwa stick it often requiers some drilling or dremmling work to the case to fit it properly.
u can buy a crown joystick if you want to mod it, it's just as easy as changing to a sanwa
Bought this stick in February, and I have to say it was the best decision I ever made in terms of gaming. It is amazing, and even the artwork is easy enough to mod.

Electric fountain music is so legend
The plexi is so thick it makes the lever shorter than I'm comfortable with. I prefer the hori rap N with a jlf. Panthera is good for sfv though, easy to use with the fingertips but not with the palm.
I bought 2 of these sticks with marvel vs capcom art. I bought them for 100 dollar each on sale here in Sweden.

Fuck ofcourse, i seen it on his hands and im going for it
he owns the PRO N too but for tournaments I see him use the panthera strictly, i think maybe because it's easier to open it up, just in case something happens like a button goes out, etc, so it makes sense for him to use it when he travels, instead of having to bring a screw driver set to open up the HORI stick. I ONLY wish they made a tekken 7 version with the NOIR layout.
The only bad thing about the stick is that it starts to squeak around where your palms rest sadly and another con to the stick is that if you ruin the cord, you cant buy a replacement.
how much time passed playing with the stick untill the "squeak" started ?
MetalSin about a week or two after using it once someone in another review pointed that out. Now I only notice the squeaking when I put a lot of pressure on the stick but I’m also used to it now
damn, i ordered one i and i'm afraid it'll do the same thing to me i don't want to get the feeling of a cheap stick when i buy one for 180+ euros :(
MetalSin you should be fine, other then the squeaking, stick feels really solid and for me the squeaking is only when I put a lot of pressure on it. If you do encounter it, just ask for a refund and get the obsidian

I have the Qanba Obsidian and it comes with the same parts, both are amazing sticks.

i tried sanwa and it's not for me, end up buying fighting edge and now my obsidian left in the box lol.
Question: What are the key differences between The Razor and The Fighting Edge in terms of buttons and overall design in your opinion?
razer panthera uses sanwa lever and buttons whereas the fighting edge uses hayabusa lever and buttons.
@@jarnbjorn4522 appreciate the response as the "Pathera" looked optimal to becuase it has "Sanwa" related parts with the option of supported open casing. I was looking at the "Fighting Edge" as well but wasn't sure what buttons it had.
I own a "Hori Hayabusa-N" and I hate Hayabusa buttons becuase they feel like paper and wanted to try "Bat Top" levers.
I've decided to keep my current stick and order the Sanwa buttons and Bat Top to install myself rather than buy either the "Pathera" and "Fighting Edge" as the Razor didn't have 3.5 MM Jack support.
The "Evo" didn't come with the same features as the original features either so thank you for direct feedback as I have made an optimal decision.

That is the only thing keeping it from absolute perfection.
I play on Tekken on PS4 and I love my headphones.

Will be interested to see if you have any of the failure issues they have had, particularly in tournaments.
Displatcher i thought the razer atrox (previous version for the stick for the xbox i think) only had disconnect issues in tourney play. I was under the impression the panthera worked fine with the braided screw in cable

I am willing to believe this is a high-quality stick. 2 minuses are that the art-work is not customizable and that the button layout is not Namco Noir. My question however is why pay 200$ for this stick or Qanba 0bsidian, when you can get, with zero research, a Mad Catz TES+ or TE2 stick for under 150$ off of amazon or ebay; cheaper when used.
After all, Sanwa parts are Sanwa parts.
because the mad catz that produced those sticks is dead? if something happens to those sticks, you're shit out of luck, at least for panthera, you have couple years of warranty, and also the build quality is superior to TE2, the top doesn't shift and flex like TE2 and also the panthera doesn't creak and squeak
Just get the silencing pads dude!!!! The silent stick is cool too but hard to get used. But worth it. Had to do it cause I have roommates.

Great stick. I'd get one if only they didn't cost 300 euros in my country. In US they're $200 so that's pretty extreme increase in price. Sticks like RAP4 or Madcatz TES don't have this increase in price so not sure where the extra 150 dollars come from.

How long does it take to decently do wave dash on these things? Want to buy one but I feel like it takes a lonnggg time to be comfortable using this in ranked

People my Razer panthera stick is way too loose after 1 month of use how can I make it more resistant
Im on the hori rap4 and have a my first kid coming at the end of july ... its so noizy im honestly considering getting the panthera even tho its costly, my kid will hate me otherwise ;)
Martin G If you still like your RAP4 and are on a budget, you can swap in a Sanwa Silent JLF stick w/ a 2 or 4lb spring.
You can also swap your buttons with Sanwa silent buttons or make your own with stock Sanwa or Seimitsu buttons and foam washers from Focus Attack. They're only $2 for 8 washers. 😆🕹

Hi TMM is the stick a Sanwa stick? If so, the part should be the same as other brands. Even soundproofing is good, I doubt the control feeling would just be the same if using same part.

i cant decide, qanba dragon or razer panthera...
I have the dragon with the golden fanta mod in it, just bought the panthera. Reason being the dragon is super heavy since its mainly metal so taking it anywhere is a no go and i want a korean stick and japanese stick with out constantly having to gut my dragon. The dragon is amazing but the weight and size can be a little much.
is it still worth it 5 years later? available now it's either this or the Kitsune, any recomendations?
Kitsune vs Panthera is apples and oranges. Go for the kitsune if you prefer leverless or go for panthera if you prefer the good ol' stick.
One thing the panthera has that most modern sticks don't is the easy access to the interiors. Only a handfull of sticks have this feature nowadays (idk why) so that alone is already a huge bonus.
Aesthetics and functionality are still super up to date so it's definitely a good purchase even in today's standards. Notable comparisons to the panthera in today's lineup of fight sticks are the Nacon Daija (ps5) and the Hori Alpha
Do not mistake the razer panthera for the razer panthera evo. Both are different sticks with different features. The evo doesn't have the easy access to the interiors and is super hard to mod compared to the original panthera which is why I like the original much more

But I wouldn't recommend the kitsune unless you want it for the ps5
but if you like fighting games on an arcade stick the original panthera is a very excellent stick and is compatible with the PS5 since it's a licensed PS stick
The problem with the kitsune is it's price,no ps3/PS4 compatibility,and it's not mod friendly in some way.
But hey if you have the budget or the kitsune is on sale

@@ML1800 for 13 years the tekken evo winners have always been stick players, mostly ones with korean levers until the recent evo japan where chikurin, a player who played with a lot of different levers through tekken 7, won using a pad, the hori fighting commander octa

not for all sticks, most of them but there are ps4 sticks that doesn't have ps3 compatibility like the Hori fighting edge.

its personal preference actually, i own both, Pros for Panthera is that it's easy to open, only one button open from the top, no tools needed, and the stick is less wide so easier to travel with, and it comes with a detachable cord, which can be both a pro and a con, depending on the person. Hori FE is wider, so it's better for table play, flatter, and the metal surface doesn't get all grimey and slippery with your sweat, BUT if you want to open it up, you gotta always do the 8 screws from below, and also it comes with the Hayabusa buttons and lever, i personally hated the hayabusa buttons and levers so i switched them all out, so if you don't like those parts, you're gonna spend extra $$$ to replace those with sanwa buttons and lever of your choice.
The lever it's sanwa part, not the buttons though since it uses the razer mechanical switches, that's why those are more silent, either way id rather use crown sdb-202 push buttons with cherry mx speed silver microswitches
