He was to big of a Monster in 4
The only truly broken 5.0 characters were Steve, Nina, Bryan and Feng (collectively known as SNBF).
Then you had a few other characters (Raven, Devil Jin, Heihachi, Law, maaaaaybe Kazuya) who had a few OP things, but not as much as/to the extent SNBF had.
After that, it was a bunch of characters that simply couldn't compete with SNBF and also had a tough time against the rest of the top 10.
Jin was pretty easy to deal with in t5 comapred to nina bryan feng and steve..

It's so unfortunate Tekken 5 was so unbalanced. It's my all time favorite entry in the series (never played T5DR maybe I would have liked it even more). Everything about it was awesome. The graphics, the music, the mechanics (combos were long but not stupid long like T6/T7), the roster, the bonus modes... so much kick ass content for its time!!

Tbh my brother whooped my Kazuya's ass with Steve, and surprisingly when I chose Nina I beat him 70% of the time
Maybe bcs ur playstyle with kazuya is easier for him to play against

If there were a top 4 characters I could whoop anyone's tail with in Tekken 5, they are Hwoarang, Julia, Lee, and Nina.
She was nerfed as hell in tekken 5DR and Anna was the one who was broken. How the roles changed. 🤦♂️😂
Anna's chaos judgement jab 1 launched on normal hit in Tekken 5 Dr. But in Tekken 6, ttt2, and Tekken 7 the roles changed again as Nina was ranked much higher than Anna. 😁
@@alizafar2624 also Anna’s fc wr2 had great pushback in DR as well. That made her FC mixups insane to deal with.
Also Nina wasn’t that MUCH ranked higher than Anna ever. Anna was always right behind her. In fact in DR Anna was MUCH higher than Nina. 😁
@@since2133 that's the thing with Tekken as they always buff the character and then nerf the character, rinse and repeat.
About Anna, it's hard to get combos off FC wr2 due to the hit animation.
In Tekken 7 her FC moves are kind of useless now to do damage. FC wr1 (cats thrust) is now a wall bounce, the stun animation was better.
I did like Nina's new punishment tools in Tekken 7, and her fluttering butterfly move for wall carry in Tekken 6 (but execution is difficult).

For tekken 7 balance, they were not balanced well when compared to other characters.

One thing u missed was df1+2 does crumple stun on crouches guaranteed. .as well as homing..she was absolute beast in t5..

ss2 was -12 in t5.0.
You should have mentioned ss1 stuff. Ss1~b blocked gave a free d4/fc4 on hit. On hit it was around 20+ frames giving her a free throw attempt. Also there was the jump cancel for her uf1+2 throw done by uf~1+2 which cut down the animation of the throw making it impossible to break on reaction.
@@Leadblast the throw was sort of a big deal since the cancel completely masked the animation.
Safe Divine Cannon was whack-a-doodle-doo and her combo damage off any launcher was pretty solid with df+3,2~ss+1,b~uf+4, 1, uf~1, not to mention f1212:f1+2 as a wall combo. Just a devastating character.

How the hell does that platform moves in that stage? Those wheel contacts the wall with their entire surface, so spinning them should not result in a force pointing at a single direction.

(offtopic) First thing I noticed in T6 is how much they zoomed in the camera in comparison to the previous series. I had to remind myself that distances were different in the later games :)
They probably made her super good on purpose in an effort to sell Death By Degrees copies (didn't work lol).
Yea lol, Death By Degrees is one of those games who doesn't fit Tekken fans that much.
I'll say it's gameplay style is way more similar to games like the OG Resident Evil (the ones with fixed cameras) and Dino Crisis 1 and 2, If you look away from most of DBD's close combat and RE and DC's Survival Horror theme. Me personally, I kinda enjoyed DBD. Then again, I like RE and DC as well, so yea.

I beat alot of Steve's and Nina's online back in those days. Most broken imo was Eddy and King they had literal infinite combos that could juggle and finish you with one launch or grab string.
She was really good in vanilla, but they nerfed her to hell in Dark Resurrection, she's one of the worst characters in DR.

lulz i miss 5.0, destroyed so many people at my college campus but we got 5.1 so fast and for free after i discovered the steve infinite. fortunately nobody really played nina save for leezy and his brothers.

too bad 5.1 was arcade only. you could have showed how uf1 got nerfed to be slower than snake edge. in DR it was changed to her 5.0 b,f1 which was made faster. 5.0 uf1 now lives again as the ender of uf2,1.
df1,2 jailed, but you left out it was delayable. it was changed in 5.1.
williams had 9 frame jabs.
12 or df123:1+2 gave monsterous pushback. you're really fucking up a review of her by not showing it. it was mega safe if the "just frame" was done correctly. think blocking bryan's ff2. it was later found out there were plenty of active frames for the input. do it for 10 minutes and you won't fuck it up for days. also, you were doing the less damaging of the 2 extensions. i can't do it (or anything) on pad, but even showing it in training would have worked. ALSO!! the starter to the multi-throw was automatic on ch.
her wipe the floor was good and was nerfed to shorter range, slower, and i think the follow up fc df4,1 would no longer work. for as tall as she is, now ling has a much longer sweep, which is stupid as shit. i think the jinmaster special was d,df4, fc df4,1, f2, uf1.

I don't remember when, but it was def after console. T5.0 on ps2 was obsolete for a while until DR came out for PSP/PS3
