    I can tell that you have done this sort of thing more than a time or two. I'm pretty sure most people would need 3 hands or someone to help with some of the operations it takes to put a jet sky together. You just juggled things around and boom it's done.

    Looks a lot different than they did in 1976. We were friends with a Kawaski rep and every wk end we went to lake with him and his 6 demo jet skis, all he had to do was let people ride them. My 6yo son learned how to run one and antagonized a guy on a Yamaha? wet bike. I am old now but the memories were great. Thanks for sharing. Great job you are really talented.

    I say bore the jet pump out 2mm and push the bilge fitting out towards the front of the ski a 1/2 inch getting some of it out of the jet stream.
    Those stock handle bars are beyond junk uncomfortable things. I used a set of stock KTM bar clamps I had lying around, drilled one new hole to mount them on the stock steering plate and then used a straight 0 deg fat bar. That gets your bars forward which these machines so badly need with the stock pole.

    Jet ski Jim - I have an early 90s X2 with ignition problems. If I made it out to Havasu, would you have a minute to help me determine the issue. She's ready to ride besides that and I'd like to get her on the lake. Thanks!

    Great video! Question what is the fastest Jet skii that is factory built? What is the fastest jet skii custom built? 💯👍

    • @jetskijim007
      @jetskijim007  21 день назад +2

      Stand up jet ski's the fastest from the factory is the kawasaki sxr at 60 mph. The fastest built currently is pro watercraft built with a sea doo supercharged engine does 75mph. On the sit downs, i think the industry limits them to 70mph off the showroom floor, but there are guys building them up to and over 140mph.

    • @wadericker4795
      @wadericker4795 21 день назад +1

      @@jetskijim007 wow that would take some courage to ride that fast wouldn't it? What is your personal speed limit? Have you ridden at 140?

    • @jetskijim007
      @jetskijim007  12 дней назад +1

      Lol, Lot of Courage. :-) My personal best is 67mph on a standup, and 92mph on a full blown race sit down (it accelerated so violently it had a sit in form fitted seat so you didn't slide off the back every time you throttled through a corner. :-)

    Jimmy nice work - found you from Merlin and watch you over there, watched a bunch here now. Any chance you have a good bone yard for watercraft down there - I'm in desperate need of a intake plate for a 2007 Seadoo Challenger 180 - Seadoo Part # 204120294 from my understanding and it's discontinued. I up in Canada land, Alberta specifically and have had zero luck sourcing one up here. I know it's a long shot but if you know a lead, can help a guy in anyway it would be awesome. Short of that, I guess I'm buying one for like an RXP and taking the old knife to it and welding in something. Doesn't look like I can source one aftermarket either. Anyway keep up the entertaining content, between the Ski river adventure, fixing them at Merlin's, and your content it's why I bought a jet.

    Hi Jim, I swaped my oem mikuni bn44 for a sbn 44 on my js 550. Do I Need the Original rev Limited installed in the 550 if I use the sbn44?

    • @jetskijim007
      @jetskijim007  12 дней назад +1

      If you let off the throttle as the ski comes out of the water, then no. If you ride with the throttle zip tied wide open the entire time you are on the ski then yes, you should run the rev limiter... :-)
