This wasn’t the greatest of lighting situations also and it did well. In bright light or outside with natural light it would probably perform even better
I have a canon t6i ASPC 24 MP Would the Sony A7IV in crop mode for photos be better than the old camera I have now?? I plan to get Sony glass but just want to use the aspc glass to hold me over for the mean time! Thanks
Unfortunately there was focus breathing all the time. That’s what I already know from my Gh5s which I just sold. Obviously I need to invest into native lenses when I switch to the Sony A7SIII for professional work. As far as I know from other videos there is currently no adapter that offers usable autofocus for video. So thank you for the video!
I'm having problems with the MC-11 on a Sony a7siii. Attaching Canon mount Sigma 150mm Macro, and a Tamron 20-70mm, both lenses autofocus great in photo mode, but not video. I did a firmware update on the MC-11. I may order the update device for the Sigma, the lens is 10yo and no longer available in retail, so can't really say "it doesn't work "
I have Lumix S5, and planning to buy A7s3 and keep both of them, so I am thinking can I buy a sigma 24-70 F1.8 Ef mount so that I can use this lens for both cameras with the adapter. Do you have any advice? Thanks!
My experience with t he Sony A7SIII + Sigma MC-11 has not been good. Using Sigma 150mm Macro Art Lens (its 10yio), it will autofocus fine for photos, but not at all in video. A Tamron 24-70mm also will focus in photos, but not video. I was able to upgrade firmware on the Sony, and the MC-11. The Sigma upgrade thing is back ordered. Anyway my Sigma lens is not on the "supported" list anyway!
Not bad at all really! I’d rather have it not cropped in but, being able to use that lens again is obviously great. That lens has always been really loud on the Canon.
Good enough for me. I'm going with this setup. Thanks been lookin for a video that answered this question
Thanks for posting this
Thank you for this
Great review!
thank you!
Thanks a lot
Wow!
Nice review man. So is that means canon ef lens can have the auto focus during video on Sony camera? Thanks
yoooo! i did the same thing with my a7siii!...clear image zoom really helps in 4k :D
does auto focus still work?
Thanks for the test, really helped me make my decision on adapters. What tube lights are you using in the background!
DF chameleon RGB LED tube light! Glad it helped!
What a coincident that we both got a7s3, sigma 18-35, and a gh5. 😂. I should get a mc-11 to complete the set.

Nice review... waiting my A7siii too :D Next time you should try to render in 4k when you test 4k ;)
Thanks! I rendered it in 4K actually but youtube is taking unusually long to process 4K :(((
@@ridefarm5528 Ohhh nice :p
How did you do so that the sound of the autofocus of this objective does not appear, when recording I get that noise
Wow! Do you know if it works well with catalyst browse?
Mad pulsing but in a no stakes vlog like this it works..
said it best
Vorrei comprare l’adattatore è il sigma 18-35 per la mia Sony a7sII, è possibile che funzioni ? Lo userei in ambito video
Does it vignette at 18mm on this fsiii with adapter

Yes, sigma was a good temporary lens for me until I saved up for a Gm 24-70, which I'm using as my main lens!

Any update?
Where can i buy these bikes? Which bike brands and lens manufacturers are the best? I want to purchase these products
How about your responsivnes settings? Did you play with that? I see a bit of pulsing on the light left.
I have it on default setting. There is some pulsing for sure.

Hmm i don’t have a s5 so can’t say much about its compatibility
wish me the best bro
GH5 user i want to buy A7S3 with luts of EF lenses
finger crossed..

How did you do Tracking?
I use Sigma 35mm and Continuous AF is Invalid
hmm weird, everything worked fine with sigma 18-35

it's my favorite lens and I'm happy that I can still use it at all :)
I have the A7iv, has the AF been fixed with the Mac-11 and canon lenses?
Mc-11*
한글 자막이 없네요 부사장님 :)
Is there a way to use this lens in Full Frame mode without getting Vignetting?
not possible. clear zoom helps
Yes there is. Zoom in to about 24mm when in full frame mode. You will then have 24-35mm in full frame mode.
Does the adapter work for lenses made by canon in video mode? for example the Canon’s nifty 50 for full frame or any other canon lenses?
Yes all canon EF lenses should work with the adapter but I can't say how well for each lens.
But only Sigma has AF in video. Canon EF with adapter only works with AF in photo mode
@@millmountain Great info. thanks I'll have to test it out with canon EF as well.
It would be awesome if the canon lenses all did this but they don’t only in photos
Thanks for this vid will try this out tomorrow on a shoot
Mc11 is much better now..
does it work with tamron ef lenses?
