Guys, I just teamed up with Lustre which will give you more router options, top ranked reviews, with similar prices and all in Amazon, check out the link here:
my.lustre.ai/EMLj4
What speeds did u get on the 5gz on your old router?
You did the test using 2.4Gh and it's impossible to get the full speed, but with the 5G WiFi easley you will get the full speed
I just picked this router up and you are right.. WORTH EVERY PENNY!! Great upgrade!
how is it going so far?
I just connected my brand new ax3000 and set up was very easy. I will be testing this in comparison to my my ac 5300 router. Hopefully it fulfills my mediocre needs as I am not really a power user.
This video is misleading guys.
You tested on 2.4Ghz on your old router and then compared it with 5Ghz on Tp-link AX3000. Why didn’t you test it on 2.4Ghz with AX3000?
That would have been the right comparison.
How much did u get paid by Tp-link to make this video?
To be fair, if his old router supported only 2.4 GHz and this new one supports 5GHz then why not use 5GHz? That's one of the main reasons someone would upgrade from the usual modem/router combo that ISPs usually give to you. The main reason for this video is to get the most out of your connection speed. 5GHz is just faster and has less interference. It would be dumb to buy this just to be bottlenecked by 2.4GHz.
clearly a paid ad. he showed the "deco" addons but didint even tested them.
He can got more speed than what's he's playing for...
I usually upgrade my router whenever it stops getting new firmware updates for security reasons but i recently upgraded my old netgear router to the Nighthawk RAX40 and finally gaming is smooth again
I changed but my RUclips experience just got worse
@@dexstex changed to wifi6? Did you upgrade your PC/laptop to be able to connect to wifi6, what kind of connection? USB or PCIE? what router?
I have a Bec Ridgewave 6300nel R15 LTE modem wifi on it was crap but i got a Nighthawk AX3000 router ☺ i like it 👍
TP link is worst for firmware support. I find netgear far better.
Funny, i was actually deciding in between both of the products you included in this video, i have a small one stoy apt, which does get some gray areas with bad rception, but instead of getting the DECO i wil go with the AX3000 because of the WiFi 6
Subbed! picking one up! I've have an Asus RT-AC66U now. Great router but older!
EpicMeme Productions I have an Asus RT-N12 and it doesn’t give me any high speeds
I just purchased this router and i’m waiting for it to ship. I was paying for 300mpbs download and 20mpbs upload. I was barely getting 70mpbs download and 5mpbs upload. This review video was really, really helpful. Out of all the review videos I saw on this router, this was the only one that stuck out! Thank you! 🙏
xEnergyDrink update?
Legits B Thicc yessir. So i received the router and had about 17 devices connected. At first i was getting maximum speed which was great but once i started connecting more devices, it dropped to 50 download and 10 up. Also i’m not sure why i get above 45 ms ping. i thought it would be lower. i’ve heard that once u downgrade the firmware to v1.0.6, it improves ur ping. my 5G (with all devices connected) gives me up to 250mpbs down which is very satisfying. I RECOMMEND THIS ROUTER! ✅
TP-Link Archer AX50 is performance wise very strong router in same price range as compared to other brands.
My router was acting out so I over did it and got the Asus RT-AX88U, no complaints.
My Tplink Archer Ax1500 router must got attack by hackers so i got a Nighthawk AX3000 router gaming/streaming Its hooked to my bec 6300nel Ridgewave R15 LTE modem from my isp Bravado Wireless i pay for unlimited internet
This is an EXCELLENT video! Great info and demonstration!
What about the speed test for the Deco mesh?
Great video bro,i have 200mbps thru fibre optic from Virgin with 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz,they both works together to give full speed on wifi,my speed test net is 29mb download,i heard we get 300mbps soon😉😉😉😉
The background music sounds so good on the galaxy s10 plus
Thanks
I'm a tech for a cable company and I can tell you that their modems don't cut your speed or anything like that that's a misconception of the people the reality is the equipment is not the best hardware or the best quality but I just saw you doing a speed test where you got 30 mbs down is there a way you can show that you are connected to the 5G network on the route because is impossible you get 30 mbs on the 5G network that's more like the 2.4G trust me you'll be surprised how many trouble call we have of customer watching videos like this and then they call to complain about it lol when in reality they are just doing it wrong, they have old equipment or no compatible phones or laptops.
😂😂😂😂😂
People that do these RUclips videos edited and show you what they want you to see😂😂😂
Its true, I tested the 5G network and it was fast as well, but 5G doesn't work well thru walls and it has a much shorter range compared to the AX3000, the router also handles better multiple users and it has a more steady connection.
It's smart connect feature where the 2.4G and 5G are combined into one SSID which basically the router assigns the best frequency for the end device for better performance.
@@ogrescept from my test i think separating 2.4 and 5G works for better performance
Make a update video with Tips n Tricks and does it heat up or any other issues
Thanks
I Recently Purchase This Router And I Have FiberOptic Internet 500 Down / 500 Up and it didn't make a difference. Is there something I'm doing wrong or do I need to change any settings on the Router? I have a iphone 11 which has WiFi 6 and the speeds are slow on 5GHZ
Good afternoon, please tell me in the settings of the router is there support for the Russian language? watched your review of the AX 300 super.
Im glad you enjoy the video and yes there are instructions in Russian.
What about me I have a 3.1 modem and I have gig that have ultimated and I run cat6a cables will I get full speed gig and I will have pcie ax wifi cards will this run gig and more too.
So you did the test on both a 2.4Ghz And 5.0Ghz or 2.4Ghz on you old one and 5.0Ghz on the TP-Link
I’m goin to pick this up and test it myself vs my asus 5300ac that I picked up last year. I don’t like hearing about asusgate anymore and want to get myself away from that noise.
Who do you get the service through? I only am able to get WiFi out there in the middle of nowhere in Oklahoma? And how much is that? Is there a monthly fee for use of WiFi?
The issue was that your old router was going bad on the wifi 2.5 band. Same issues with mine and thats the reason I came to this channel for the review of the new TP. I don't believe is worth to buy this router just to upgrade. Not many devices support "WIFI 6. Now if you are like my self and need to replace your bad router then yes and be ready for the future.
What do you recommend for a home router? Upto 20 devices.
how do you know where to pay your monthly pay plz help for the wifi?
will this make me host in every cod game ps4?
if yes I will buy
what phone did you use to do your speedtest?. It's probably a wifi 6 compatible device?
Does this TP-Link AX3000 WiFi 6 (Archer AX50) have means to hang on the wall?
I now have more then 6 devices that need to be wired to the router. Will need a switch, which one is a good one?
How is the switch hooked up to the router?
Is frontier wireless good? Im happy but i complained about my speed. I was at 14-30 mbps. On my xbox one. I call to complain. They had me change one thing, at the end of my network name they said add -5g.
Now im up to 88-90 mbps.
Joelster, i have a question.. what's the advantage of the AX router in combo with the deco M5? is there any benefit in the opposite from the AC standard?
If we want to have the full potential out of the AX router we need also devices that can communicate with the standard AX i think. I'm just wondering if the deco M9 is a better solution in combo with the TPLINK AX Router!
To take full advantage of wifi 6 you do need compatible devices like the Galaxy S10 but you still get the benefit of faster connectivity with multiple devices, the difference is noticeable. You can use Deco 5 with the AC router, they act as an aditional router.
hi bro, I have a netgear xr500 pro gaming router, I don’t even know what class it is 😀
It’s WiFi 5 router
Can I connect this to any tplink mesh wifi?
Hey guys my apologies, I used the 2.4hz instead of the 5ghz connection when I did the speed test, using the 5ghz on my old router was also fast but the connection was less stable and it gets even worse when there are multiple people connected, that is the biggest advantage I noticed with the new router..!
Does the ax3000 router heats up? I'm thinking of buying the same Router but I'm worried about the heating issue. Thanks
so what the difference between this one and the AX1800
The mi router repeater is good for maximum speed and all for 40 euros
wall penetrate how many meters?
Can you enable ipv6 on this?
Can this wifi router provide free internet wifi service for my wifi only tablet at home?
I’ve had my router since 2014.... that’s why I’m looking up routers! 😂
I currently have the Netgear Nighthawk R7800.
The AX3000 has 2.4 GHz speeds of up to 574 Mbps according to the package and up to 2404 Mbps on 5GHZ.
The R7800 is 800 Mbps on 2 Ghz and 1733 on 5 Ghz.
Between the 2 overall which would you recommend?
I haven't tested the nighthawk but I am very happy with the AX3000, ot made a big difference in speed and range even thru walls.
I thought that if you had a WiFi 6 router you couldn’t use the current mesh network devices because they don’t support WiFi 6
Yes you can, wifi6 works with other networks as well but works best with wifi 6 compatible devices.
Very good video thank you .
Shows again that routers given by internet company are useless and gives you the worse internet experience .
No local transfer file?
I got the 1500 and yes I always get the max speed
Sometimes ISP supplied routers are mediocre. I hear the WiFi isn't so good on those ones. I also wouldn't know if those ones can be configured (some ISPs love to lock things) or if they just have less than optimal default settings. I find that Smart Connect is not optimal for my network. Instead that is just good for people like my Grandmother who have no idea what to configure. Really I only keep the 2.4 GHz on for devices that don't work on the WPA3 the 5 GHz is configured for (they are two separate BSSIDs the way I configured it). What you have to do also is turn various things off and on one at a time testing to see what works best. I find that for some reason OFDMA slows things down ironically so I leave it off. I also find that with the default settings on the router her laptop is painfully slow (less than 100 Mbps) but can get to more than 200 if the WiFi is setup right. What I do is run an internet speed test after I change any setting. I also look to make sure her computer can connect without my help so that if I am ever not home she won't be left disconnected. I have the TP-Link AX3000 Pro and it does support WPA3. TP-Link for some reason never added WPA3 to the AX3000. I don't know if there is a bug or limitation in the Intel CPU that model uses. My AX3000 Pro does not have the Intel logo on it (I presume some sort of ARM processor is used instead). The AX3000 Pro also has USB 3.0 (one port) 2.5 Gb lan and 4 1 Gb LAN (first of those can be a WAN port if configured as such). It is normally a $179 router but it is sometimes on sale for $129 and may be cheaper yet from other stores. That is the NEW price too, not refurbished or a resold return.
I asked you before but however no answer, would you please advice on which tv to buy on Black Friday, Hisense H9F or Vizio P series Quantum X.
I am leaning towards the Quantum X but after looking at the reviews some are saying its great and some are saying its not good. Please advice, as I am very confused. Thank you.
I haven't tried Hisense but it looks like a good choice, I have reviewed Vizio TVs before but they always have issues so I wouldn't even consider them, the new TCL 6-series is also a great choice.
@@JoelsterG4k Is the new TCL better than Hisense H9F?
I need black levels and picture quality the best so please advise me.
Damn Hot Samsung RU8000
This router gets very hot. Would an update solve this problem?
Joelster... I’m curious about the combination of the WiFi 6 router with the Deco mesh system. I use a Deco system as my primary router so I’m wondering what speeds you would get using the Deco as a standalone router/mesh?
Let me check for you..
280 download/ 30 upload, not bad at all.!!
@@JoelsterG4k Deco m9 will give even more
Is the AC socket or the output port of Asus routers the same size as the AC socket of TP Link routers or not?
I don't know, I don't have an Asus router.
Will the new xbox and playstation use wifi 6?
make sure all your cables are cat 6 or up
Are you getting the wifi 6 icon in your wifi bars? If not, why not?
On my wife's S10+ yes.
What is the speed difference with a AC device on the new router is in better than 30mb
I showed that in the video.
We have 20 devices connected to a router. Only 2 devices support wifi 6. Should we get a wifi 6 router? It says wifi 6 is better at handling multiple devices. Does the advantage apply even if most devices we have are only wifi 5 devices?
Can you use the tether app outside your network? Say mobile data?
Yes, it even alerts you when someone logs into the network, you can customize everything.
Do I need to bridge the modem my ISP gave me??
Yes but if you can get your own standalone modem and a router that would be better
Check out the Mesh Deco in action.
ruclips.net/video/y9b37PN02KA/видео.html
Why everyone is using smartphones to check the speed? Show me speed test, with laptop, computer, tv, will work the same?
Do you know if Frontier supports Ipv6?
Not in my area anyway. Not that is really useful yet.
Hello! Good evening! I have a question. If I buy one of those, does it have contracts like pay bills for 12 months every year?
No nothing like that, you just pay your regular internet and that's it.
JoelsterG4K Oh okay, thank you! Just like Spectrum and Dish Network? The Archer never be damaged as long it has speeding Wi-Fi?
@@GeronimoCedano I don't understand what you mean, this is just a router to add speed and more ports, you do need a modem from your ISP.
JoelsterG4K what I’m saying just like paying internet bills regular. But the archer ax3000 has no contracts so I don’t have to worry about it.
@@GeronimoCedano Oh no, you do need to pay for internet, this is a router.
Even if its 300 on 5ghz your still going to get good at least if he pay for 300 he will get 150 or more on 2.4ghz
To bad you don't use any ethernet cat 7 cable.. changed you will see the difference and tnx me latter..😪
Hello, I wanted to ask if it pays to buy this monitor ps4 pro
I haven't tested that monitor but I am working with the New BenQ EX2780Q and is looking very good so far., stay tuned for the video.
Mine's WI-FI is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay slower (And its a new TP-LINK) to start than your Intel-chipset AP
why would you buy a wifi6 router and then plug in slower access points to extend the internet range... and wifi6 range is so much larger than anything previously why would you even need them? .....what the hell are you doing? At least show us the range of the Archer AX3000...
300 thats it. I expected you to at least have 1000 gigabit internet. I upgraded the router when i went from 100 to 1000 fiber.
I don't need more than this, its only me and my wife here.
i get 500mbps download with my 802.11AC 5GHz Netgear Orbi, so i'm fine for now :-D
You said something about the Deco system. You said it has to connect directly to the router. The setup says to connect it to your modem. I do not want to connect to my modem, I have HTPC servers set up on the router so I can't eliminate that from the system. So can the Deco M5 be set up using the router connecting instead of the modem?
I upgraded to the AX3000 but the speeds are the same before this router. I don't see anywhere near the speeds this device is advertising. I got 20Mps / 2. Mps before and the same after it was installed. Not sure if I installed it improperly but as of now this is a terrible "upgrade".
What is your internet speed that you are paying for.?
JoelsterG4K I checked with AT&T and they said 20Mps.
Raul Bosque ur so dumb the router wont give u free speeds it will give u the speeds u paid for
do you pay monthly for the wifi?
For some reason people keep asking the same question all the time. You pay 1 time for the Wi-Fi router, but you still have to pay every month for your internet service. If you were to buy this router only, you would have Wi-Fi, but no internet access.
@@JJFlores197 Do you know how much does it cost ?
@@stevenperea_5405 I don't know. You would need to look it up.
This router good enought for a 2 story house?
Yes but I would suggest the mesh kit for better coverage,.

USB 2.0 ??? Deal killer for those of us who have a NAS drive hooked into our router. WTF were they thinking?
You should be able to get close to what you pay for from your ISP router. Something's not right there.
GoHabsGo8693 well if he used 5g on his router he will get close 2.4 is way too slow
Just got mine for 80 bucks new

Does the router heat up easily??
Tushar Biswas I have seen a review where a user returned the ax 3000 because of overheating issues disconnecting his WiFi devices. He went with the ax 1500 and is happy now. I don’t know about him but I always keep my equipment in a cold environment with direct airflow and fans circulating streams of air cooling. Never had an issue with any router overheating.
@@bfitnessjoe you are using the ax3000??
Tushar Biswas yes I just now connected it. Testing it today.
Omg ! Ping : 9 jitter : 4 packet loss : 0 % !!!!!!! this is my new router even my AC router always had packet loss at least 5 ! This thing is a beast !
Notice you tested on 2.4ghz there's no way you will even get close to 100 down under 2.4 any modem that uses 5g will be faster than 2.4
This sounds like a paid advertisement video. Sure if you use 2 generation old router you should upgrade the router
but if you have anything 1 generation old like AC1900 that cost like 40$ you should be fine.
Im getting around 500 on my AC 1900 and Im only limited by the phone wireless speed.
Im sure there are different options out there but like I said at the beginning of the video,I don't usually change my modem or router for years so the change was noticeable for me.
not a good comparison.. you are comparing 2.4ghz with wifi 6.. of course you're speeds will be very, very different. Why didnt you connect to your old router's 5ghz and test that speed?
Sooo u compare 2.4ghz vs 5...🙄🤦♂️
Cox has 1000 gigabit internet.
What a load of crap...Comparing 2.4 Ghz old to the new router 5Ghz...Do you think we are stupid ???
Wow
Idk if I have a defective unit. But this thing sucks!!!!!!! Internal speed test. 480, to 90, to 570.... I pay for a 1 gb fiber speed. And the wifi is all over the place as well. My older wifi 5 router is way more stable!! And a tp link product. I had high hopes for this router
you just compared max 2.4ghz speed vs 5ghz. sigh.
brother! 1st test was on 2.4 ghz and 2nd test is on 5 ghz. and its 2.4/5 gigaherz not only herz! sorry but its totally stupid.
It's like you know what I'm looking for, I'm actually in market for a router. Ate you a mind reader?
Man, this router just came out and believe me, it is outstanding, I love it.!!
Wish it was on amazon, i have a ton of gift cards....
It is now
Skynet whow
Your old router is crap, if you were not getting 300 with that.
Okay sorry to burst your bubble but it looks like your phone is a galaxy s8 or 9 which does not have wifi 6 in it. galaxy s10s have it & most likely all your devices you connect dont hsve wifi 6 in it yet. You get a little more mbps then you pay cause the ISP knows you will probably connect more than 1 device so they give you a little more cause in the end when everyone using wifi that extra 21mbps will balance out to 300 mbps. If you were to connect via wifi 6 then your speeds should be faster with little latency & faster responsiveness.
Yes, I do have an S10 as well which does support wifi 6 but this router can still make a huge difference when connecting multiple devices.
@Michael G ISP company usually sets up your wifi router. And they usually give you the admin password for it. So it is possible they can log into the router and see what devices are connected to the router, unless you change the admin password.
The ax50 a total shit, I replaced it with a Netgear ac 1900 thinking that it would be better and no! The devices are disconnected, you do not get a good signal or you have a signal but you do not have internet, you do not have a month of use, at any time I change it for the old one, do not spend your money on this equipment.
I guess you have no idea how to test your internet and no idea about 5ghz and 2.4ghz. You don’t check speeds in 2.4ghz and go to 5ghz and say it’s pretty good speed in Tp link .
That's the Walmart version, get the AX50, much better.
You copared 2.4ghz wifi of modem against 5ghz of router. This is sooo unfair and fakee
