This was a great video. I am glad I found this. My access point went and died on me so I had to go back to the Verizon Fios router from my ISP, it is almost unbearable. I had not even looked at TP-Link until now. I was very happy to see that you showed the devices, connections and antenna actuations in detail. The packaging illustrations were clear and really added value to the video. I also liked that you showed off the mobile app. Thanks for being awesome!
Appreciate the video. It's opened my eyes on WIFI routers. Currently have a stock one from my provider and I am thinking that stock is not the way forward.
I used to have drops etc with my previous router... having multiple wireless/wired (switch) connections including various 4k streaming, gaming, iphones/ipads, cameras and more. I got the AX6000 and I have no more issues... and the phone app is a super plus, love it! No more drops, solid, fast and responsive 24/7! Having a nice router is mandatory nowadays!
I'm trying to get a router on a budget. Would the AX3000 be able to handle a Ring Security System, 3 fire sticks, one office computer, a tablet and one gaming rig? I do not feel like paying over $200+ for an AX6000.
Or one could also connected data heavy devices with ethernet for a really solid connection and leave the lighter devices on WiFi.... just a thought.
Nice lie, it is better to have few, slower router for more range. And those routers don't have all wifi6/ax features. www.smallnetbuilder.com/wireless/wireless-features/33221-what-s-missing-from-your-wi-fi-6-router-ofdma
Friends don't let friends have crappy WiFi. Also do you think we have enough antennas?? 😂

The last one was this half nightmarish half octopus creature that just so happens to deliver Wi-Fi
asus rt-ac68u is better than all the 3 you listed
Do you know if it’s good for a two story house... I have a mesh wifi from google and upstairs I do not get greats speed but downstairs I do... are any of these routers good or excellent for two story homes ?
@@italianharris No it's not. The asus rt-ac68u is still using the old 802.11 AC @1900 mbs and doesn't support Wifi6..
With WiFi6 there'll be probably 20 antennas sticking out of the box like a porcupine... actually we need more cowbells! lol
Bought AX6000 on a Black Friday deal to replace a 3 year old high end linksys router that was having trouble keeping up since we cut the cord and now usually have one 1080p TV and one 4K TV streaming almost all the time. The old router started to drop all connections a couple of times a day. We have very heavy internet use with a family of 4 running 3 gaming computers, 2 TVs, 1 Echo, 3 Dots, 2 tablets, 4 phones, 1 vacuum cleaner, 1 thermostat and a sprinkler system.
The AX6000 was very easy to setup using the mobile app first and then the PC website to tweak a few settings. My son's gaming computer is the only WiFi 6 capable device we were able to test. He had about 200 Mbps before we installed the new router and has 400 Mbps with the new AX6000. 400 Mbps is the maximum speed that we pay for from our internet service provider. All of our other devices showed marked improvement in speeds just not double.
The AX6000 has been running great since it was setup a few weeks ago. No problems and no dropped signals.
jamie skufca day
Thanks for posting this! I just ordered the AX6000 for my home router! Got it and man is it an awesome router! I'm getting 120 mbps in my living room where I was only getting 30 to 40 mbps before. Removed two extenders also! It's great!
Well how good is the router?
@@IndianaDiy Great!
got the archer ax11000 and im pretty happy with it
I just installed a tp-link (Omada) EAP245 v3 access point which is connected to a MikroTik hAP ac2, turned out to be a great combination. I can pull around 550mbps on my iPad on 5ghz.
Clear and understandable vid, good job thanks.
Can you please make a video to compare TP-Link AX11000 and Netgear RAXE450 (AXE10000), especially for the range and performance? Thanks!
Colour me clueless but I had no idea that a router affected the speed of the computer. I ordered the AX6000 today. That should take care of any issues I've been having recently.
Thanks for the review.
If you want amazing wifi speeds over a large distance or trough walls I would get the AX11000.
I have it because my old routers which was 2x Tenda AC6 (1 transmitter and 1 repeater) could only manage 80 mbps download speed on a perfect day with ping of 40 - 100 on a 300 mbps network and the speed was usually much lower than that.
When I changed to the TP-Link Archer AX11000 I got 300mbps download speed immediately and my ping got reduced to around 5ms and I have had that speed consistently everyday for months now and that's when the router is used alone without any repeater/range extenders.
It is sending the signal from one building to another one because I don't live in the building where the router is standing so the signal goes trough 2 walls and maybe about 8-10 meters distance outside and I still have 300mbps on the 5GHz band.
This is great.. Question What about compatibility with my cable company how does that set up work with security issues? Thanks Love channel and keep up the good work...!!
In the research I've done, it's your modem that you need to ensure is compatible with your ISP. This can be answered by googling "is [name of modem] compatible with [ISP, e.g. Xfinity, RCN, Centurylink, etc]."
I would really wanna know what the wired connection differences are. I always play games on a wired connection. So having good wifi is fun. But having a good wired connection has the priority
How far longest that Tplink Ax3000 still be connected good intensively??
I got the AX50 to replace my Archer C2 and I got a huge boost even on Wi-Fi 4 Devices.
2.4GHz Wireless-N and 5GHz Wireless-N got boosted.
I also bought a new Wi-Fi 6 Wireless Card for my old notebook.
There are AX200 and AX3000 Wi-Fi Cards and are worth it.
I'm still waiting for more affordable 2.5Gbps Network Equipment.
AX6000 down to $229 on Amazon today (cyber Monday 2019).
How does it compare to other brand? I have really really major problem with this particular brand with support and service.
What modem do you recommend to pair it with ?

I'm in the UK and have BT full fibre 900 connection to my house. Looking for a router to (i) provide wi fi to gorund floor and also (ii) feed cat6 cable link to other floors in the house. BT smart hub 2 router not up to the job. Is TP AX 6000 router a better solution with correct standards for Huawei fibre-end terminal switch?
What you think about Netgear XR700
I know this video is old, however, I wouldl have more appreciated if the heating issue was also addressed with the Intel chips of TP-Link one which also causes disruptions and damage. I have researched on multiple website to reach this conclusion.
Great Video!!!
Just bought this ,router and a nighthawk cm1200 módem ,i still have the spectrum kit and I’m able to get to 450 500 gps.
Wud this purchase benefit my network ? I have a lot of clients for my current equipment ..and apparently it getting overwhelmed, the equipment i got it branded EEBE ...and I could never get spectacle on the router and modem ...thanks !!
I had the tp link ax11000 but after the oneMesh addition the speed dropped to 90 mbit. And still they deny the issue because I've read reports of months ago the first users issued this problem. After a phone call with their support they tried to blame my cables, I got tired of it. I've returned it and switched to Asus routers. Also their mesh solution is much better. Through my whole house 400+ mbit speeds now and stable.
How does the AX3000 compare to the Orbi? I have the Orbi but its connection keeps dropping.
1 thing to keep in mind is that even if u have wifi 6 adapters if your lan port does not support more than 1gbps u wont get faster wifi speeds. therefor i dont understand wifi 6 routers that dont support 2.5gbps wan ports what the point ?
You only explained each routers claimed specs! Would like to see test results including "drops per month"
Real world speeds are usually around half of router's specs, and even that depends largely on the clients connected to it.
@@BillAnt And there are barerly any wifi6/ax clients, top ends phone or laptos. Even current router don't have all specifications features www.smallnetbuilder.com/wireless/wireless-features/33221-what-s-missing-from-your-wi-fi-6-router-ofdma
@@BillAnt I often hear that the real world specs are actually about a third. No?
@Nick Burak < In best case scenario about two third of the specs, but on average about half. The router's LAN ports provide the closest spec speeds, while WiFi is a hit and miss.

Is the AC socket connector or the output port of Asus routers the same size as the AC socket of a TP Link router or not?
The middle tp link looks good but it doesn’t have WiFi 6?
AESTHETIC QUESTION: Are the Red Stripes on the aerials of the AX11000 stickers/decals that can be peeled off? - Or are they actually painted on?
I ask because I'm about to order this, and would like to avoid an uncomfortable conversation about purchasing more "gaming paraphernalia" with my fiancée.
Great video keep them coming !!! Quick question when setting up my new TP Ax6000 router there comes to a point when you have to "Set the wireless network name and password " Is this the name and password on the bottom of the router?? i know about the logon name and password to log in to the router but NOT sure about the other ??? Thanks for your help
James DiBenedetto it’s name you want for your wireless/ Password
how important is it to also upgrade the cable modem??
I read that the netgear 4XS nighthawks still has the best performance and MU MIMO functionality.
The actual performance also depends on the connected devices, if those don't support WiFi6 natively then no matter how powerful your router is, you'll never get the highest speeds.
theres also sir another AX1500 a cheaper version of AX3000 and still wifi6
Which one is better than the Netgear top of the line or the tp-link
Should I buy my first wifi 6 router or wait for the wifi7 routers to come?
And I'm looking for wifi range so this tells me I'll have to buy the gaming routers + I do gaming
Can anyone tell me the name of the phones brand in his hand? like which model?
Does anyone know if decently new apple products can support Wifi 6? Like i'm saying devices from like 2015 and up?
I have over 80 devices using WiFi. 99 % using 2.4 ghz half lights. What device I will need, plus I will be adding more devices in the future
It not only the download speeds it also the speed between the devices in your network...
And again no mention of the monthly prescription cost...
$400 for a router?? insane And the transmit speeds are theoretical at best...
Are these routers still worth it or should we wait for wifi 6e?
I have LG G7+, how do I upgrade the internal Chip to Wifi AX?
You can't
There is a one router that had stirred up the Community recently !!!
I have an older TPLink AC1900 router (no more firmware updates). Would the AX3000 be noticeably better?
Allen Michael Cohen yes. But get AX6000 if u can. The speed is so satisfying and well worth the money
Ax11000 is sexy but I got ax6000. Can both routers be uses together in a mesh mode?
wow nice, this router got my cores than my pc
You know what would be awesome with these router reviews? If you would actually test the throughput of 2.4/5ghz right next to it and further away. You cannot trust what they say and itll be much lower even while standing right next to it.
A 'Gaming' router won't increase the bandwidth provided by your ISP.
500mb/s has only just become easily available here in the UK. Gigabit is still hard to come by.
Gigabit Ethernet/ WiFi for Gigabit Fibre is about as far as you should be looking ahead. IMHO
Which is the best to buy today (01/06/2020): 1. Asus RT-AX88U, ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 or 4. TP-Link Archer C5400X?
Imo Netgear RAX120
Take Tplink ax11000 🔥🔥🔥
Or Internet service can give optic 80 Megabits - 10 Megabaiti and 3G 10 - 1 Megabaiti

Yeah, although wifi 6 is still very new so your probably better waiting for cheaper options to become available.
TechDaily, how would you compare the AX11000 to the Asus GT-AX11000?
The TP-Link looks to be more expensive than the Asus.
Also, do you know if I can replace my FiOS gateway modem with one of the Wi-Fi 6 routers?
Thank you.
if you use FIOS for TV also u must keep it for MOCA to get tv channels etc. If its just FIOS for internet then this can replace it. I have the AX6000 at and the GT-AX1000 at two separate locations in this setup it works perfectly
I now regret ordering the ax50 (Tp-Link Archer) because Im seeing reviewers saying that the actually good features remain after a trial goes away. You end up paying a subscription to keep the features you thought you already had for free.
How about mesh networking? Can any of these do it?
I'm in India nd i got 250mbps speed data .. does tplink ax3000 run at its best? I mean i wanna know wat is the minimum mbps required to get use of the wifi 6 router?
How many Sq FT will these routers cover?
Check the tp-link's forum Android 10 is affecting wireless connections for 2.4 and 5 g
Yes, *was*. But the new firmware for the AX3000 has fixed the issue.
I obviously need this
You should still act surprised when you unwrap it for Christmas tho

Question: Will older devices that don’t support WiFi 6 still be able to connect to these? Sorry if that’s a dumb question
yes
How many users support?
Oh! I forget..Do I upgrade my Modem too...? Thanks
You'd only want to update your modem if the modem itself can no longer handle or receive the speeds your ISP offers. I'd recommend - if you don't already have one - a modem that can handle gigabit speeds, and then upgrade your WiFi router to something like these 👍🏻
I just installed Motorola MB8600 DOCSOS 3.1 but still using 8year old Linksys router. It works great. Getting faster connected speeds. I don't know what I'm getting with our Android phones and tablets but no drops. Looking into these TP-Link routers. Liking to the AX6000 capabilities (8 ethernet ports) but not the price.

Does the AX3000 support mesh WiFi?
I have over 70 devices mostly 2.4 ghz devices. What device you recommend?
Tplink ax6000 👌🏻
do you pay monthly for the wifi?
Do they also work as modem or an external modem is needed?? Thanks
You need an external model if you have DSL or cable.
such a good wifi ah man
Is it true the AX3000 has heating issues?
The argument used is wrong here. It's not that ISPs will ever provide over 1Gbps connections, the more important factor to consider is the REAL WORLD PERFORMANCE of these things. Router performance on the box can be twice or 6x the real world speeds you'll get, which IS the right reason to want the higher spec models. The 2400 marketed will likely be 300 in the real world, the 4800 to be 600, etc. etc. So if you do have a 1 gigabit service from your ISP, then you should look into the ones advertised as 11,000 or 6000mbps on the box, for you to get the most out of the service you're paying for. (For wireless devices that is)
You could also just get a 10 dollar cable and a 20 dollar usb adapter to connect to your phone if you ever need those speeds on your phone for instance.
No fiber optic where we live lol don't even get too 1gb for uploads
any comparisons to the ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000? I heard Asus is not as secure?
with an equivalent asus, you can pair with merlin firmware.... the tp link 1100ax would be the most comparable.
I hear ax3000 gets really hot. Heard ax1500 not as much. Thinking of getting ax1500
Are you going to get it? Im seeing good and bad reviews. Some people say disable smart connect to avoid signal drop issues.
antivirus do it come in the ax 3000 or do have to upgrade to the ax 6000
in the ax50 model has homecare with antivirus is that the same in the ax3000 model
Does this have Link Aggregation ?
That AX11000 looks like it could cover a whole neighborhood or a 2 -3 floor apartment complex
Looks and performance can be two very different things.
Currently my connection is 100mbps, if I had bought one of these routers would my speed go up dramatically? I have a note 10 plus 5g which is wifi 6 supported also.
If you have many users more than 3 users on your WiFi and do 4k streaming or gaming then you will benefit from good quality WiFi 6 router. Even if using WiFi 5 devices it will give better signal and speed
Idk if I’m to late to ask a question I have att and Ithe only spend I was able to get was 100mbps will this routers give me faster speeds or would it still be the same
What is the maximum speed offered by ATT? Also, what is your wifi connection? B,G,N,AC?
What is highest range of ax3000
The three things about 2020 I am most excited about are simply the election, SpaceX Starlink, and WiFi 6 beginning it’s journey to standardization.

I have a BIG set of important questions. Our household is connected currently via Verizon DSL, and it's not very good. There is a cable TV option that folks claim is better, but we're wondering about cellular. We're in a very hilly rural area, but fiber optic is not taking off here. Verizon does not offer FIOS here, and there are apparently no plans to do so.
1: is there a way to create a WiFi 6 home network based on a cellular subscription? We're thinking about dumping Verizon DSL and the landline entirely. That means either doing phone and internet over cable TV or doing cellular. Are there any MiFi-like devices out there that can be plugged into a router like the ones in this video, or are they their own one-stop hot spot? Also, both of our cells are on Tracfone (pay-as-you-go, minutes-based service operating on AT&T / GSM-only towers) that we started using 15 years ago.
2: If we ditched Verizon landline and shifted to cell with a contract, how do we figure out which carrier offers best coverage of our home and what speeds to expect? Cellular is spotty around here, and the towers seem to be carrier-specific. (There's a Verizon Wireless tower on a hilltop a few miles from here, and our Tracfones don't pick up any signal from it.)
3: We have a Dymo label printer and some other USB devices, and an old HP laser printer with Ethernet. If we want to keep using them, are there inexpensive WiFi relays we can plug into these devices that will work with routers like the TPs you review in this video? What do we look for? What search terms?
Right now, we have an old Westell DSL modem plugged into our Verizon landline. We strung out Ethernet cable to an Apple Airport base station, which is plugged into those other devices via USB and Ethernet. Thank you for your time and attention.
The Westell modem was installed in Dec. 2002 when Verizon first offered DSL.
Wingsley- You should perform a Speed test (Speedtest.com) on your internet connection from a PC connected to your router by an Ethernet cable instead of WiFi. (Wifi is slower) Then bypass the router and connect your PC directly to your router and perform the same Speed test again. This will give you a good idea of your true DSL connection. I am on Spectrum Cable Internet and a while back I found out my router (Linksys AC1500) was causing me a slow down on even the Wired connections. Even though I paid for 100Mbps download speeds, my router couldn't handle more than 70 Mbps DOWN and sometimes no better than 50 Mbps. Your DSL connection may be even a lower speed than mine but if you are getting crappy downloading, it may be your router.
Nothing beats a good cat6 cable🤷🏼♂️
A Cat6a, Cat7, and Cat8 beat it.
I'm being a shit, of course.
I highly doubt a regular user wants to run cables all over the house let alone spend money to have a professional do it.
@@willn8664 I was able to fish ethernet cables through my house without issue. It's not expensive, and it's pretty easy too if you know what you're doing.
just upgraded some wires from cat5e to 6 even though cat5e is good for up to gigabit speed. i have the verizon gigabit speed so thinking up upgrading the older asus RT-AC66R wich still handles up to 1gig but i want more ports and a router ready for the future...so thnking between the 5400 or 6000 or 11000 but i guess they all have reviews either about perfomance or firmware.

Never leave the antenas folded. They're not supposed to point at each other. On the contrary they're supposed to be at a distance from each other as designed when unfolded.
If only most people had access to good internet connections. Because buying a 500 USD router if your Internet is crap doesn't mean a thing.
currently using a 10 us dollar router , tenda n301 :P
Was this sponsored? Odd there's nothing from competing companies like Asus or Netgear
You should start the video with advising people about their modem. If the modem is crap it won’t matter what router they get. It will be crap too.
I'd be just fine with AX3000, but not gonna lie, some of the higher end features are tempting but it's a lot of money for a router...
Huli don’t. I have the AX3000. I read reviews about it heating up and how the dual core processor isn’t ready to handle heavy multi client traffic. It has great potential but it isn’t ready for multi user. However if you have a lot of people in the house using the Internet go bigger like the 6000 or overkill to an 11000 unit.i have had it a few days and my daughter gets major lag now several times a day on Roblox while my son plays on his Xbox and my wife is on her iPad Pro. I am returning it and reinstalling my AC5400 router for now. Probably going big and picking up the TP link AX11000.
Just get AC router for now instead of AX, I'm waiting for a few years for it to mature before getting one. And it is also not finalized since wifi 6E is coming to it.
th ax11000 is a overkill for everybody unless you have over 50 devices utilizing it to transfer data up to 500 MB/s and still maintain stability. this is unreal but you can buy anyway? i think archer c80 is the best price/perfomance.
How often does TPLink update firmware?
Yeh thats what I like to know too. My Linksys only updated once then it went back to the old settings and Linksys wanted me to pay for the free update. Never buying a Linksys again. I read most of these only update up to 3 years then time to buy the newer technologies.
If I'm paying for 400mbps down and I'm already getting that with my current wifi 5 router would I see an increase in speed by switching to wifi 6?
Juan C. Alba it won't improve the speeds from your ISP, ( although it should give you the maximum speed possible), but it will improve the backhaul speed and capacity in a mesh so you can have more devices connected at full speed.
The Big thing about Wifi 6 is color codes your data communications eliminating interference from neighboring routers using innovative bss color. None expensive router as option.
