Bought AX6000 on a Black Friday deal to replace a 3 year old high end linksys router that was having trouble keeping up since we cut the cord and now usually have one 1080p TV and one 4K TV streaming almost all the time. The old router started to drop all connections a couple of times a day. We have very heavy internet use with a family of 4 running 3 gaming computers, 2 TVs, 1 Echo, 3 Dots, 2 tablets, 4 phones, 1 vacuum cleaner, 1 thermostat and a sprinkler system. The AX6000 was very easy to setup using the mobile app first and then the PC website to tweak a few settings. My son's gaming computer is the only WiFi 6 capable device we were able to test. He had about 200 Mbps before we installed the new router and has 400 Mbps with the new AX6000. 400 Mbps is the maximum speed that we pay for from our internet service provider. All of our other devices showed marked improvement in speeds just not double. The AX6000 has been running great since it was setup a few weeks ago. No problems and no dropped signals.

If you want amazing wifi speeds over a large distance or trough walls I would get the AX11000. I have it because my old routers which was 2x Tenda AC6 (1 transmitter and 1 repeater) could only manage 80 mbps download speed on a perfect day with ping of 40 - 100 on a 300 mbps network and the speed was usually much lower than that. When I changed to the TP-Link Archer AX11000 I got 300mbps download speed immediately and my ping got reduced to around 5ms and I have had that speed consistently everyday for months now and that's when the router is used alone without any repeater/range extenders. It is sending the signal from one building to another one because I don't live in the building where the router is standing so the signal goes trough 2 walls and maybe about 8-10 meters distance outside and I still have 300mbps on the 5GHz band.
I own the TP-Link AX3000 (AX50), and I have owned and returned the TP-Link AX11000. Do not buy TP Link if you are willing to spend a small amount more and buy from better brands. TP-link dazzles with the marketing, amazes with specs vs pricepoint.. but owning their products has not been good to me. The AX3000 is 99% as good as the AX11000 outside of niche use cases for most peoples homes. I bought the AX11000 for the more beefy CPU and RAM in the router to handle more intra-network traffic like VR and 4K streaming. In every test, barely an upgrade from AX3000 to the AX11000. Tri-band wireless was nice and gave better network speeds farther from the router but we're talking about 10mbps from maybe 1-3 yards further away than the AX3000. Worst thing really about the AX11000 was the awful....AWFUL software. So many things given a "Gaming " label only to be the same basic, featureless features setup in my AX3000. QoS settings, you have to edit the download and upload speed of the download and upload caps in order for this router not to do its own faulty internet speed test...then adjusting your network speeds based on the faulty and often dramtically lower speed test it has done. Do not recommend the AX10000 and its identical cousin the AX11000. AX6000 is far better value but mostly the AX3000 is more than enough to even support basic wireless VR streaming, and 1080P streaming content. For better than that? The AX6000 is better but honestly after years of owning TP-Link and encountering their BS...I'm not buying their products anymore. I work from home, their devices more than once made it impossible to work. Not losing money when Asus is rock solid for 10% more spend.

I have a BIG set of important questions. Our household is connected currently via Verizon DSL, and it's not very good. There is a cable TV option that folks claim is better, but we're wondering about cellular. We're in a very hilly rural area, but fiber optic is not taking off here. Verizon does not offer FIOS here, and there are apparently no plans to do so. 1: is there a way to create a WiFi 6 home network based on a cellular subscription? We're thinking about dumping Verizon DSL and the landline entirely. That means either doing phone and internet over cable TV or doing cellular. Are there any MiFi-like devices out there that can be plugged into a router like the ones in this video, or are they their own one-stop hot spot? Also, both of our cells are on Tracfone (pay-as-you-go, minutes-based service operating on AT&T / GSM-only towers) that we started using 15 years ago. 2: If we ditched Verizon landline and shifted to cell with a contract, how do we figure out which carrier offers best coverage of our home and what speeds to expect? Cellular is spotty around here, and the towers seem to be carrier-specific. (There's a Verizon Wireless tower on a hilltop a few miles from here, and our Tracfones don't pick up any signal from it.) 3: We have a Dymo label printer and some other USB devices, and an old HP laser printer with Ethernet. If we want to keep using them, are there inexpensive WiFi relays we can plug into these devices that will work with routers like the TPs you review in this video? What do we look for? What search terms? Right now, we have an old Westell DSL modem plugged into our Verizon landline. We strung out Ethernet cable to an Apple Airport base station, which is plugged into those other devices via USB and Ethernet. Thank you for your time and attention.
Wingsley- You should perform a Speed test (Speedtest.com) on your internet connection from a PC connected to your router by an Ethernet cable instead of WiFi. (Wifi is slower) Then bypass the router and connect your PC directly to your router and perform the same Speed test again. This will give you a good idea of your true DSL connection. I am on Spectrum Cable Internet and a while back I found out my router (Linksys AC1500) was causing me a slow down on even the Wired connections. Even though I paid for 100Mbps download speeds, my router couldn't handle more than 70 Mbps DOWN and sometimes no better than 50 Mbps. Your DSL connection may be even a lower speed than mine but if you are getting crappy downloading, it may be your router.
@@Rederis oh thanks, but can I get the benefit of its better signal? I'm still using an N router still good tho but I want a better range my house has too many walls.
Well AX will future prof you for a few years at least. Plus new cellphones use WIFI6 and so will newer devices over time. I would think new consoles next year will support WIFI6.
AESTHETIC QUESTION: Are the Red Stripes on the aerials of the AX11000 stickers/decals that can be peeled off? - Or are they actually painted on? I ask because I'm about to order this, and would like to avoid an uncomfortable conversation about purchasing more "gaming paraphernalia" with my fiancée.
Never leave the antenas folded. They're not supposed to point at each other. On the contrary they're supposed to be at a distance from each other as designed when unfolded.
The actual performance also depends on the connected devices, if those don't support WiFi6 natively then no matter how powerful your router is, you'll never get the highest speeds.
I got the AX50 to replace my Archer C2 and I got a huge boost even on Wi-Fi 4 Devices. 2.4GHz Wireless-N and 5GHz Wireless-N got boosted. I also bought a new Wi-Fi 6 Wireless Card for my old notebook. There are AX200 and AX3000 Wi-Fi Cards and are worth it. I'm still waiting for more affordable 2.5Gbps Network Equipment.

if you use FIOS for TV also u must keep it for MOCA to get tv channels etc. If its just FIOS for internet then this can replace it. I have the AX6000 at and the GT-AX1000 at two separate locations in this setup it works perfectly
Yeh thats what I like to know too. My Linksys only updated once then it went back to the old settings and Linksys wanted me to pay for the free update. Never buying a Linksys again. I read most of these only update up to 3 years then time to buy the newer technologies.
I now regret ordering the ax50 (Tp-Link Archer) because Im seeing reviewers saying that the actually good features remain after a trial goes away. You end up paying a subscription to keep the features you thought you already had for free.

Juan C. Alba it won't improve the speeds from your ISP, ( although it should give you the maximum speed possible), but it will improve the backhaul speed and capacity in a mesh so you can have more devices connected at full speed.

Idk if I’m to late to ask a question I have att and Ithe only spend I was able to get was 100mbps will this routers give me faster speeds or would it still be the same
The argument used is wrong here. It's not that ISPs will ever provide over 1Gbps connections, the more important factor to consider is the REAL WORLD PERFORMANCE of these things. Router performance on the box can be twice or 6x the real world speeds you'll get, which IS the right reason to want the higher spec models. The 2400 marketed will likely be 300 in the real world, the 4800 to be 600, etc. etc. So if you do have a 1 gigabit service from your ISP, then you should look into the ones advertised as 11,000 or 6000mbps on the box, for you to get the most out of the service you're paying for. (For wireless devices that is) You could also just get a 10 dollar cable and a 20 dollar usb adapter to connect to your phone if you ever need those speeds on your phone for instance.

If only most people had access to good internet connections. Because buying a 500 USD router if your Internet is crap doesn't mean a thing.
The middle tp link looks good but it doesn’t have WiFi 6?
What modem do you recommend to pair it with ?
Oh! I forget..Do I upgrade my Modem too...? Thanks
You'd only want to update your modem if the modem itself can no longer handle or receive the speeds your ISP offers. I'd recommend - if you don't already have one - a modem that can handle gigabit speeds, and then upgrade your WiFi router to something like these 👍🏻
I just installed Motorola MB8600 DOCSOS 3.1 but still using 8year old Linksys router. It works great. Getting faster connected speeds. I don't know what I'm getting with our Android phones and tablets but no drops. Looking into these TP-Link routers. Liking to the AX6000 capabilities (8 ethernet ports) but not the price.
Should I buy my first wifi 6 router or wait for the wifi7 routers to come?
And I'm looking for wifi range so this tells me I'll have to buy the gaming routers + I do gaming
How does it compare to other brand? I have really really major problem with this particular brand with support and service.
How many users support?
What you think about Netgear XR700
How does the AX3000 compare to the Orbi? I have the Orbi but its connection keeps dropping.
What hard drives work with the usb and usbc on the AX1100 - I am having trouble connecting a drive to the USB port. I do have a 1TB Western Digital SSD that works well it on both ports, but I want to get a large 8TB SSD hard to work with it. Thanks.
How far longest that Tplink Ax3000 still be connected good intensively??
I have an older TPLink AC1900 router (no more firmware updates). Would the AX3000 be noticeably better?
Allen Michael Cohen yes. But get AX6000 if u can. The speed is so satisfying and well worth the money
You dont need a new router if your internet plan only goes to 25mbps max, lol
Yes you do if you have multiple people all at once, new routers have lanes which each device can drive on. Not one lane and everything is backed up.
Do they also work as modem or an external modem is needed?? Thanks
You need an external model if you have DSL or cable.
(There's a Verizon Wireless tower on a hilltop a few miles from here, and our Tracfones don't pick up any signal from it.)
3: We have a Dymo label printer and some other USB devices, and an old HP laser printer with Ethernet.
The Westell modem was installed in Dec. 2002 when Verizon first offered DSL.
Your DSL connection may be even a lower speed than mine but if you are getting crappy downloading, it may be your router.
when will you announce the winners of the iphone
Going to announce all the winners from my last couple videos next week 👍🏻
@@TechDaily i hope i win
Should I need at least AX3000 even if my connection is only 35 down 35 up?
negativebuff it would help to match wired speeds but the gains are extremely minimal
Just get wifi 5 for now, you won't benefits much from it if you don't have devices that support wifi 6.
There is a one router that had stirred up the Community recently !!!
How many Sq FT will these routers cover?
Does this have Link Aggregation ?
I have 1000 up and down which router should i get i need it for competitive cod
Asus ax, or wait for WiFi 6e
Is tp-link approved by comcast/xfinity?
Yes, im currently using tplink ax6000 with comcast
I am using Netgear Modem and TP-link AX6000 router, it is working man...
Never leave the antenas folded. They're not supposed to point at each other. On the contrary they're supposed to be at a distance from each other as designed when unfolded.
What is highest range of ax3000
I have over 70 devices mostly 2.4 ghz devices. What device you recommend?
Tplink ax6000 👌🏻
It not only the download speeds it also the speed between the devices in your network...
And again no mention of the monthly prescription cost...
Is the AC socket or the output port of Asus routers the same size as the AC socket of TP Link routers or not?
Great Video!!!
I read that the netgear 4XS nighthawks still has the best performance and MU MIMO functionality.
The actual performance also depends on the connected devices, if those don't support WiFi6 natively then no matter how powerful your router is, you'll never get the highest speeds.
Does everyone in ur house need the app
I don't understand some of these AX4200+ routers that have 4gb+ wireless speeds but still only have 1 gigabit wan ports.
Internal network speeds are massively faster than external
@@-zerocool- yes, but make a damned 2.5g wan port option or something
customer service is pretty non-existent tried to call them several times also tried to do chat several times cannot get in contact with no one.
Sticking with my crappy Huawei my friends will understand 😂
Unless you wanna eat Ramen noodles for the next year trying to pay off the shiny new WiFi6 router's credit card mortgage. lol
@@BillAnt If you're that damn broke, rip. RIP during this qaurantine.

@@BillAnt My responses depend on how I feel
I know this video is old, however, I wouldl have more appreciated if the heating issue was also addressed with the Intel chips of TP-Link one which also causes disruptions and damage. I have researched on multiple website to reach this conclusion.
Should i use the ax3000 axseries or 6000 series for wireless vr gaming with the oculus quest 2 at 90hz?
TechDaily, how would you compare the AX11000 to the Asus GT-AX11000?
The TP-Link looks to be more expensive than the Asus.
Also, do you know if I can replace my FiOS gateway modem with one of the Wi-Fi 6 routers?
Thank you.
if you use FIOS for TV also u must keep it for MOCA to get tv channels etc. If its just FIOS for internet then this can replace it. I have the AX6000 at and the GT-AX1000 at two separate locations in this setup it works perfectly
I only have 350mpbs internet, do i even need AX3000? or I can get away with AX1500 or 1800?
Go for ax3000
How often does TPLink update firmware?
Yeh thats what I like to know too. My Linksys only updated once then it went back to the old settings and Linksys wanted me to pay for the free update. Never buying a Linksys again. I read most of these only update up to 3 years then time to buy the newer technologies.
I now regret ordering the ax50 (Tp-Link Archer) because Im seeing reviewers saying that the actually good features remain after a trial goes away. You end up paying a subscription to keep the features you thought you already had for free.
I had the tp link ax11000 but after the oneMesh addition the speed dropped to 90 mbit. And still they deny the issue because I've read reports of months ago the first users issued this problem. After a phone call with their support they tried to blame my cables, I got tired of it. I've returned it and switched to Asus routers. Also their mesh solution is much better. Through my whole house 400+ mbit speeds now and stable.
IS IT WIERD MINS CALLED A TP LINK AC5400X....
I obviously need this
You should still act surprised when you unwrap it for Christmas tho
TechDaily 😍😍😍 no...
I have over 80 devices using WiFi. 99 % using 2.4 ghz half lights. What device I will need, plus I will be adding more devices in the future
Yo can i plz have the sony speaker from the white iphone 11 vid
Just bought this ,router and a nighthawk cm1200 módem ,i still have the spectrum kit and I’m able to get to 450 500 gps.
Wud this purchase benefit my network ? I have a lot of clients for my current equipment ..and apparently it getting overwhelmed, the equipment i got it branded EEBE ...and I could never get spectacle on the router and modem ...thanks !!
AX6000 down to $229 on Amazon today (cyber Monday 2019).
Currently my connection is 100mbps, if I had bought one of these routers would my speed go up dramatically? I have a note 10 plus 5g which is wifi 6 supported also.
If you have many users more than 3 users on your WiFi and do 4k streaming or gaming then you will benefit from good quality WiFi 6 router. Even if using WiFi 5 devices it will give better signal and speed
When will you announce the I phone 11 winners?? ❤️
I had a whole list of winners in the Midnight Green accessories video & I’ll have more winners for the most recent videos at the end of this month 👍

Thanks for your help

I'm in India nd i got 250mbps speed data .. does tplink ax3000 run at its best? I mean i wanna know wat is the minimum mbps required to get use of the wifi 6 router?
wow nice, this router got my cores than my pc
If I'm paying for 400mbps down and I'm already getting that with my current wifi 5 router would I see an increase in speed by switching to wifi 6?
Juan C. Alba it won't improve the speeds from your ISP, ( although it should give you the maximum speed possible), but it will improve the backhaul speed and capacity in a mesh so you can have more devices connected at full speed.
The Big thing about Wifi 6 is color codes your data communications eliminating interference from neighboring routers using innovative bss color. None expensive router as option.
www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Wifi-AX1500-Smart-Router/dp/B07ZSDR49S/ref=asc_df_B07ZSDR49S/
How to configure it
Idk if I’m to late to ask a question I have att and Ithe only spend I was able to get was 100mbps will this routers give me faster speeds or would it still be the same
What is the maximum speed offered by ATT? Also, what is your wifi connection? B,G,N,AC?
any comparisons to the ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000? I heard Asus is not as secure?
with an equivalent asus, you can pair with merlin firmware.... the tp link 1100ax would be the most comparable.
(For wireless devices that is)
You could also just get a 10 dollar cable and a 20 dollar usb adapter to connect to your phone if you ever need those speeds on your phone for instance.
Does anyone know if decently new apple products can support Wifi 6? Like i'm saying devices from like 2015 and up?
theres also sir another AX1500 a cheaper version of AX3000 and still wifi6
antivirus do it come in the ax 3000 or do have to upgrade to the ax 6000
in the ax50 model has homecare with antivirus is that the same in the ax3000 model
