My AX50 stopped working after 13 months, it used to get very very hot.. the replacement that TP Link gave me is much better, the new one actually does not overheat at all. I think there was a problem with the initial batch of these routers!

Pretty good. Accent was a bit hard to get started in the first minute but no problem afterward (I've worked with lot of Indian so that helps a lot).
I didn't even know that some model were the different in USB port. I've read review that it was only due to sold in retail vs online but the AX50 (and AX3000) has different USB port which is pretty critical/important.
    Thanks for the useful info!

I have a AX50 with gigabit internet & a Arris SB8200 Docsis 3.1 modem. My wireless internet speed (on an iPhone 12 & Chromebook) is between 130 mbps & 230 mbps (max). I know I wont get the 1000 mbps because I don't have anything wired connected, but I was thinking that while running a speed test on my iPhone 12 or Chromebook standing right in front of the AX50 that I would be at least getting 400-500 mbps.
Is there anyway to make the AX50 work faster through TP-Link's Tether app? Otherwise, it sounds like an Xfinity (ISP) issue, modem issue or router issue. Any help is appreciated!

Hi. Nice review for AX50 and AX10. I hate that AX50 is overheating. And AX10 has worse 2.4GHz performance. Would it be possible for you add review for AX20? There is still Broadcom ARM processor which could be more cool than Intel, better 2.4GHZ performance and OneMesh. It could be sweet choice even that price of AX50 and AX20 is pretty same in my country...

I am using my TP Link router (Archer AX72 WiFi 6 ) as the main router and my older D link (DIR-825ACG1 WiFi 5 ) Router as a WiFi extender. People are dumb, OneMesh and mesh networks are half a joke as putting any router in AP aka access point mode will accomplish this wifi extender/chain goal properly and even works better than onemesh and especially an extender device in many ways.

The best brands of China routers is Xiaomi and Wavlink. After that is Totolink and Huawei. Performance for buck is still Wavlink than comes D-Link.
