- This track using only the Boss RC-600 with its built-in effects. No post editing. The Boss RC-600 was functioning as an audio interface as well. What do you think of the sound quality?
The Boss RC-600 has 3 pedal modes which allow me to specify the function of each pedal and knob. But I didn’t modify the default setting too much. Just set Pedal 9 in Mode 3 to be the current track record/play, and set one of the knobs to be the current track number. Then replaced the original setting on Pedal 7/8 with the input/track FX respectively. So that I could record/play each track without leaving Mode 3 (my FX page).
Here’s my FX list in this track:
Input A: Ring Modulation
Input B: Slow Gear
Input C: Chorus
Input D: Pre Amp (Boost)
Track A: Beat Repeat (Rewind)
Track B: Stereo Enhance
Track C: Pattern Slicer
Track D: Mod Delay
It’s basically a floor base designed looper. So if you want to use it as a tabletop looper as I did, the RC505 would be the better choice and more convenient for operating for sure. In that case, why I bought the Boss RC-600? Well, I bought it mainly for other purposes. And today’s video was one of my experiments. I’ll probably make another track with its FX sequences function.

Thanks for that dissonant chord in the last progression. Didn’t expect it and it certainly works differently. In incredible how an “off” sounding chord could dramatically enhance the emotional aspect of a piece.
Really thanks for this.
I'm sitting here in my living room listening to this ....wow, amazing sound. Good playing too! Nice work that got me
This sounds so good! This is the best video I've seen with the RC 600. Instant subscribe!
Thank you so much!
This was exactly what I was thinking:)
I really enjoyed that, thanks for uploading
I love the atmosphere, well done for the composition and the performance :) !
Beautiful! From the performance to the camera and room setup. Very well done.
Beautifully delicate! (Are those flowers in milk?! lol)
Thank you! Ha, it's an essential candle with dried flowers.
Bravo!!! You could make an entire video of the process. You would be doing us an honor.
Thanks! Great suggestion!
beautiful man
very nice im looking for this
That's sweet! how many effects can you stack in a single loop track?
Thanks! It can be stacked 4 for the input and 4 for the output. So it's a total of 8!
Nice jam! Quick question... Does the order of the FX matter? For instance, how would I ensure a reverb is "after" a delay. If I have 4 FX going at once, is it just the one on the left (first) to right (last). Also do you know why the FX lights turn Pink when the others stay red? Thanks!
Thank you! Sorry for getting back to you late. The order of the FX doesn't matter, but the order in which you press the FX buttons matters. A pink light is your current FX. It will turn red when you press another FX.
@@KristinHsiao Thanks, But I'm still wondering how it orders the FX. Example, if I want Reverb to be "after" compression (dynamics). I think it always orders then left (first) to right (Last) . Can you confirm?
Thanks!
@@artspiritfineartstudiogall9672 Just remember that if you want Reverb after Compression, you need to press Compression first then Reverb. But the order you put in FX A, B, C, D (left to right) doesn't affect the signal. Even though you put Reverb in A and Compression in D, if you press Compression before Reverb, the signal chain will go from Compression through Reverb. Vice versa.
@@KristinHsiao Oh, okay. So if i understand correct... If I'd want my FX order to go say... B,C,A,D then I would have to go through them and make B pink first, then C pink, then A pink then D pink and they would be placed in that order in the FX chain? Then soon as I make another one Pink that one would be last in the chain all a sudden? Is this correct? Seems strange but if that's how it works good to know.
@@artspiritfineartstudiogall9672 You're right. I feel the same way. But that's how it works.
Hello. I have a problem. I bought a new Boss RC 600 looper. On my computer I have songs made on my old Boss RC 50 looper. How do I make the RC 50 wav files work on the RC 600? Because so far the RC 600 looper shows the message FILE NOT SUPPORTED. And I have a lot of trouble, because there are 10 songs that are not easy. RC 600 wav file and RC 50 wav file. But in the RC 50 I mostly have MONO files, or is that a problem? And some settings need to be made .. tips. Please. I have a recital in a few days ..
Well, I'm not really sure what the problem is. I've never encountered this sort of issue before. But for now, maybe just use the RC50 for your recital.
Is the lenght of the Loop fix? How can I make manuell?
I own this Looper and I hate it. I would read reviews on seller sites like Guitar Center or musicians friend. This looper does some cool stuff, but it also crashes often and sometimes randomly changes tempo mid songs. If you play in front of an audience it will embarrass you and make you look like your not professional. I have wasted so much time and money trying to make this POS work correctly.
I wish I never sold my old looper. It had less lights and buzzers, but it worked and was dependable.
I am starting to think that there just isn't enough processing power in this device and no firmware update is gonna fix what never worked. I feel cheated out of my money.
I was thinking about this looper. Stumbled upon your new comment. That is alarming.
Hi. There is a learning curve to this looper.. but once you got it.. It works without any problems. Don't give up..
