Based on this video, there's no way I'll be buying your course. It looks like it would be a useful course, but if as you say the videos are "just like this", you can count me out. Style over content is not the way to present information. Rapid jump cuts are great in music videos, and action movies. They are not cool when you're trying to educate, or convey information. It takes the brain a significant time to reorient after each cut, asking "what am I looking at now?", and "where am I supposed to be looking?" By the time it's worked this out, you've cut to a different view, rendering the entire shot useless. When already trying to take in your unnecessarily rapid narration, it's even harder to reconcile what you're saying with what we're seeing. What's the rush? This isn't a long video, you could easily have taken your time. This is such a shame, because what you were saying was really interesting.
Onboard rhythm changes and fills via button mapping? Is there any way to use the assign function on a native boss 600 button of external pedal button to allow quick altering and ‘improve ‘ of on board rhythm patterns. So in a sense make an equivalent to the beatbuddy pedal, which allows for Drum fill and turnaround with the push of a button.
My issue is reverb and looping. I make ambient music. I want dense long verb on my vocals before and after looping. Input verb tail will be cut off on loops endings, so input verb in my opinion is completely useless. Track verb seems to not work at all on the monitor input vocals, I.e before anything is looping. which makes sense, It’s only going to work on a loop that is playing. so what I want is essentially a reverb send, i.e. the kind of send you would have in DAW. When I turn it on, my input vocals have reverb, when I record a loop the loop vocals have the reverb, but the reverb is not recorded to the loop, so the tail is not going to get cut off when the loop restarts.
Hey Ben I hope you’re well! One thing I can’t figure out at all for my rc600 is that. When I am using multi mode, and I record something onto track one then track 2 another thing. My rhythm variations are setup to change at the end of the loop. But they will only change at the end of the first loop I recorded. If channel 1 is off, the rhythm variation will never change until I turn it back on again… if you have any ideas on this it would be amazing. Have a good one.
Ben please keep making lots of vids on the RC 600...I go back to your vids constantly....rc 300 vids you made helped ne a million times...im about to get the rc 600 and will definitely be looking for your vids about all the situations with the 600..thanks man!
This Is a year old so I’m sure you have sorted any issue, but just in case…You don’t need the GT1000 at all, in fact you don’t need anything but the Quad Cortex since it is capable of being a looper. If you wanted to use the RC600 with the Quad Cortex for Vocals or something like that, just use the Midi-Out from the QC into the Midi-In of the RC600, and you could get even more complicated than that like sending effects to the RC600. You would be better off using the QC for Guitar looping and effects and perhaps a Boss RC505MKII on a Mic Stand to do Vocal loops, vocal harmony, and vocal processing.
On the RC300 I only use the bass effect. When you press the effects button, the bass effect will then switch on immediately for recording on any track (very easy to quickly record a baseline). Is it possible to create this same scenario on the rc600 except assign 1 button for bass and maybe another for harmonies? My thoughts are to use "Track select" button for the bass effect and "undo/redo" button for harmony effect. Is this possible? Just to clarify, i want it so that pressing say, button 8 alone starts the effect immediately? I’m asking if I’d be able to activate it without needing to press and hold the FX button before hand. Hope that makes sense!
I just bought this last week. Love it. However there’s something I can’t figure out and I need your help. How do I program my start all / stop all button to not automatically go the first beat of my loop. For example if I want to stop the music on beat 2 and bring it back in on beat 3 of the measure, I can’t. It always automatically goes back to the top of the measure. PLEASE HELP
So how many track/guitar effects does the unit have compared with, say, a BOSS multi fx unit? and are there Mic fx specific to vocals like harmony's and auto tune?
Here's one for you Ben - is there a way to save routing settings on the RC-600? I ask because a few I'd like - solo acoustic gigs (default routing is fine), using it as an audio interface recording real instruments mostly (acoustic guitar, 2x microphones, a keyboard etc).. using it as an audio interface recording loops with multiple VST instruments (ie synthwave stuff, drum kit, synth bass, pads, melodies).. full-band style setup for an lead guitarist having outputs to multiple amps etc.. I can already do all of the above, and it all works flawlessly. One by one. The problem is, each time I want to use the RC-600 a different way, I have to redo the routing settings which is super annoying to do over and over. Am I missing something, or is there no way for me to save my routing settings? I would LOVE to be able to save each of the above so all I need to do is hook it up and pick my saved routing choice. Any help would be appreciated - if this isn't already in the RC-600, then IMO it's a glaring oversight (like not having an on-board tuner that can mute the output and temporarily replace the big circle that could easily be used as a tuner is, as well). Love your vids, and love the RC-600. Cheers mate.
Yo, Summer in stereo -- I havent tried this for routings ( but it may be occurring anyway) but I've built a handful of "templates" that I bounce to e.g. to 10 fresh seperate song tracks (one at a time ) . Each track ( which is a differnt file in RC600) has all the settings of the template. (I use 4 tracks basically in single mode, 2 in multie, mode 2 is set up for input effects and mode 3 for output effects, It seems like any routing should bounce with it...I don;t know though but would be easy enough tot test..
Great channel! Do you think the boss ve 8 or ve500 add anything significant over the built in fx on the rc600? I’m just looking for basic compression, reverb, delay and harmonizer. Thank you!
thanks for your video ben I would like to know if there is a way to configure the RC600 with an RC300 mode, that is: record each track with the same size as the first and get each one I add to have the same loop size even if it only records one second Thanks, Paulo
Hi there! Could you please tell me, is it possible to assign drums to a rhythm with an odd size? I see many options for even rhythms (4/4, 4/8, etc.), but if I choose a 5/8 rhythm, I only hear a metronome. Is it possible to set the drums to a 5/8 rhythm?
Could you please advise if it's possible to run multitracks from boss rc 600? For example, I'm a solo artist singing and playing acoustic guitar and I want to run stereo track with prerecorded drums and synths and at the same time want to run click-track for monitoring purposes. So i need to run 2 tracks synchronously and route them to different outputs. Thank you.

hey Ben, thanks so much for your videos... Do you have a suggestion for best way to track select and control individual track volumes, i'm used to the rc505 but wondering if the best way is to assign a small midi mixer or something or just use an track select and volume. I love the hands free though! and it feels better than my rc505 with a footswitch. thanks!
Don't get the cheap plastic switch caps. They're not very secure, so if you hit them at any kind of angle, they might not engage. You can actually see what I'm referring to in the video when he presses on them at an angle. You want the nice kind that have an aluminum body that's covered with a rubber cap. GL

I am thoroughly not convinced to switch from the RC-300. While the RC-300 was a nice iterative step up from the RC-50, this has totally changed a lot. I love the big rugged foot swtiches on the RC-300, along with the straightforward tracks 1, 2, and 3. If anything, using the midi sync with the RC-300 as the controller might be the most compelling use case for me. I am sure you can program this to do whatever the RC-300 does, but the UI is not nearly as intuitive, and the missing track level faders are a bummer too.
It's a BIG change. I used the 300 for a long time but moved to Ableton years ago for more freedom. This is really the best off both worlds. Way more involved than the 300, but once you spend a little time with it, you'll never miss the 300. Ok .. maybe more than a little time, but well worth it
@@chuntoon1 I suppose just like anything powerful, there's a big learning curve but it should have a proportionate reward. If I get one, I will keep my RC-300 for sure to do the midi sync. I midi synched my RC-300 to a friend's RC-300 once and it was pretty mindblowing two people looping together.
@Kapster I was right there with you, used his video to merge the 505 and the 300. Sold them both and switched to the RC600. HATED it for the first 7 days. I'd never go back now... AND...you will instantly notice the sound difference as well.
I have bought five boss RC 600 and every one of them takes a dump corrupt system all the time after 20 or 30 tracks I bought a brand new boss 505MK2. It has only five tracks but there’s a lot more features that you could do with it and it’s better it might be plastic but it doesn’t break like the boss RC 600 don’t waste your time buying the boss RC 600. They suckafter $4000 worth of product that I bought that works 5052
I like flashing lights, youre probably just susceptible to light sensitivity, I really dislike people who say "this is bad and uncomfortable and therefore is true for everyone else" this kind of thinking causes a lot of arguments on the internet Such as me disagreeing, and saying the light is stimulating and makes engagement with the device more entertaining for me
dude goes from talking about track levels and shows track level faders on RC300 and hits Enter button on RC600 to go to the mixer "bet you didn't know that" he says. apparently he doesn't know you can't change track levels on The Mixer. Look closer, dude. Don't look for track levels there. One must go to Loop menu.
I Like your video's, but you are talking so fast! A waterfall of words. Not everybody comes from the UK or the US. Slow down a little, and I'm sure, a lot of people who don't speak native English will agree, and I think, you will get more followers.

Sei fortissimo vecchio però cacchio vai piano non si riesce a starti dietro;)
I have bought five boss RC 600 and every one of them takes a dump corrupt system all the time after 20 or 30 tracks I bought a brand new boss 505MK2. It has only five tracks but there’s a lot more features that you could do with it and it’s better it might be plastic but it doesn’t break like the boss RC 600 don’t waste your time buying the boss RC 600. They suckafter $4000 worth of product that I bought that works 5052
I like flashing lights, youre probably just susceptible to light sensitivity,
I really dislike people who say "this is bad and uncomfortable and therefore is true for everyone else" this kind of thinking causes a lot of arguments on the internet
Such as me disagreeing, and saying the light is stimulating and makes engagement with the device more entertaining for me
Fabulous but much easier to listen to on .75 speed. I thought only americans spoke that fast lol
Good call. At x .75 it’s almost normal. Annoying, but nearly normal.
Have to give this a thumbs down - content good, presentation too fast and in your face 😱👎 and stop keep saying "Straight out of the box" !!!
Just talk like a normal person, FFS. You're not selling junk jewelry on the shopping channel.
Why would any one link a 16 bit rc300 to a 32 bit rc600
Try looping a 12 string guitar into 16bit sampler and hear how lifeless it sounds
just use “Parent” and “Child” for MIDI control paths. it’s very easy and avoids unnecessary, racist terminology
It’s actually sexy dominatrix terminology 😂
Holy crap, what a lot of crap to figure out.
Thx, but you talk too fast for me 😎
Pause and rewind are your friend 😂
Are you teaching or selling? The speed of your speech makes this not helpful.
dude goes from talking about track levels and shows track level faders on RC300 and hits Enter button on RC600 to go to the mixer "bet you didn't know that" he says. apparently he doesn't know you can't change track levels on The Mixer. Look closer, dude. Don't look for track levels there. One must go to Loop menu.
As of December 2023 with the new firmware update one can access the track levels in the mixer.
I m not interested in USB nor linking it up to another looper
I just want to find out how it works
What a waste of time most you tube gear videos are
I Like your video's, but you are talking so fast! A waterfall of words. Not everybody comes from the UK or the US. Slow down a little, and I'm sure, a lot of people who don't speak native English will agree, and I think, you will get more followers.
Incoherently fast babble. Try talking more slowly and with consequent clarity.
