I've got a few ideas to create an emmersive experience. Step 1: Setup curtain rods spanning all four walls of a room. Hang black velvet curtains from ceiling to floor covering all walls. Step 2: Get the room comfortably cold, around 60f/15c. Step 3: Burn a small amount of Pine tree sap to create that camp fire smell in the room. This also happens to be my secret recipe for scenting my clothes. I have a walk in closet where I'll burn different tree saps as incense to smoke the whole room. The smoke smell stays on my clothes for weeks. People are always asking me why I smell like a camp fire. I tell them its my cologne 😁. Step 4: Use large 10" bluetooth speaker to play nature sounds very softly from behind the curtain. Step 5: Set a 4k TV on the floor playing a crackling fire video. Step 6: Make some "Bears Milk", the perfect cold weather drink. If having guests perhaps also make some Chicken Paprikash. Step 7: Dark Skys DS1 BABY! Step 8: Invite other people to come enjoy the experience with you.
Nice! I bought mine just over a year ago, love it... I have a white ceiling in my bedroom and at night with zero lights and my window completely shut with a dark, thick velvet curtain it darkens my room 100% top it off with natural mountain ambiance sounds(creeks, owls and crickets, etc.) on a seamless loop... it’s a the closest you can get to sleeping out in the open under the stars! Amazing product will definitely purchase any new version whenever they become available! Great video!!
Wow that's awesome, love hearing user experiences from others who have purchased! Sounds like you have a great room for it too! Thanks for dropping a comment and supporting!
Looks like they are trying another production run at the moment, I just reserved one. No nightlight on it this time apparently, hoping it lives up to the hype.
I've owned one of these for just over a year. It is truly the best home planetarium on the market. My only gripe is the lack of complete focus for the chrome disc. There are blurred spots that are quite noticeable given how incredibly detailed the disc is. Still worth the purchase imo, but it's annoying that this is an issue with how expensive it is. But, I use this every night and the dimming mode is great.
Hi there, great to have another opinion from someone who actually owns this, what your referring too is called "vignetting" I noticed some myself around the edges, this is somewhat unavoidable due to the design and lens. But, perhaps there will be a DS2 with a better lens one day! Happy you still stand by the purchase overall though! Thanks for watching and dropping a comment.

And the non chromatic lenses really feel "cheap",it doesn't seem like it does much more than random 100€ projector. Also it doesn't cover enough of the ceiling to my liking. And I paid customs and the total is really 🥵

I feel that the price tag with the price of additional discs is hefty compared to the homestar flux which I feel gives off amazing images and am very satisfied and happy with.
I’ve owned this projector since they first came out. If you think about all the money we’ve spent cheap planetariums, the price looks reasonable. My grandkids lay out blankets on the floor when Do a show with it on their vaulted ceiling. I wish someone would create “blanks” so we could make our own disks with transparencies.
That sounds nice that your grandkids enjoy the projections - How does it look on a vaulted ceiling? I would imagine this would have an extra cool effect!
Amazing projector, thankfully I have light colour ceilings. I assumed this would be pretty expensive but the attention to detail on both projection and lamp is definitely there. I don’t know how many star discs they give you complementary upon purchase(or any) but it would be nice to have a variety of a few to start with.
Yea, it actually worked out ok on my concrete ceilings, as long as you can remove most of the light should be fine, but will be best on a lighter/white surface! The projector comes with the 4.1 million star chrome disc, which is "arguably" one of the best ones, or at least the highest resolution one because of the materials.
The level of detail is amazing and I'm sure it is worth the price if you can afford it. I would love to get one but for now, the price is out of my reach. Great review, thanks.

DUDE!!! Another GREAT video!!!! MIND FREAKIN BLOWN!!! I Love that thing!!!! It is HELLA expensive, but the quality does seem to match up with the price, at least in your video. The only thing that kinda makes me a little hesitant to get it would be the brightness thing. That's something that has bothered me about so many of these projectors/ lights etc. It's always usually me thinking I love/Like it, but just wish it was brighter. So maybe ill wait this one out a little (If I actually can lol) Oh and PS not sure if you''ve heard about Monster brands new "Prisim & Digit & Orb" (and a few more) products, but might wanna check it out. Would prob make a good video. Picked all of them up yesterday at Walmart and pretty cool...for the pricepoint! Let me know what you think! Stay safe dude! :)
Lol yup the brightness thing is always a factor, I would love to run the star projectors with all my lights as well, but have to run them with fewer lights turned on! The DS1 definitely needs the most dark environment out of all the projectors I've done! I've heard Monster is getting into the lighting game, I should look into it, wonder how they stack up to the Nanoleaf tiles which I still haven't tried! Anyhow, thanks for the tip! Thanks for supporting!
I love the interchangeable disks on this one, there are so many more options! Also, has anyone ever said you look like Rafe Spall? (But with way cooler hair, haha.)
This is the biggest as far as I know! I think they're doing a 2.0 version, not sure. The Sega Flux is a good alternative though if you're looking for a bit more brightness ruclips.net/video/AIHsU6qARF8/видео.html
Julian, you rock. My initial thoughts are that I wonder if this has any 3-D effect that the Galaxy 2.0 Projector has? On the Galaxy projector, the nebula appears with some slight depth with the stars. It's not a huge effect, but it's definitely there, and it definitely improves the experience a lot. From what I can see with the first scene you show (and btw, it's awesome that you have a room with windows and outside light, because I was wondering if it would work in such an environment - and it seems that it does), it looks like a very high quality planetarium type of projection, which provides and awesome atmosphere to escape, de-stress, etc... I guess my only concern is that if you are investing this kind of money, how much use are you going to get out of it? With the cheaper projectors, I turn them on while chilling in the room watching movies. So they provide a very nice background and some immersive experience for a movie. This seems like a much higher-end experience that is more for being a primary focus - in other words, it might be overkill if it's just going to be used as casual background. If however, you are going to be lying on a bean bag chair listening to some music or some meditation or some other private activities, then I think it's a very useful luxury. One other thing it might be very useful for is having a couple friends over for a drink or smoke, and having a super-sweet environment. I'd probably drop $300 on it right now, but the current price seems a bit steep, but that's just my personal opinion because I probably wouldn't use it as much as other folks might. If I was having friends over on a regular basis, I'd buy at current price immediately. Thanks so much for showing us these products!!
Hey thanks for watching. I agree for the most part. A lot to spend for majority of folks, myself included. Maybe to use ideally as an every night night light perhaps! For about $300 I would go with the Sega Flux which I've also done a video on that is very close to this in effect. The only problem is you do need a rather dark environment. A niche product for sure!
Such an amazing piece of tech. Super smart of them to offer different plates to slide in, since that means new ones can come out time and again. (Brilliant way for them to make money from repeat customers.) I'm looking for ambient projection I can do while livestreaming, which means I need to have a projector strong enough to compete with key-lighting. Because of that, this isn't quite for me (for work at least), but for off-stream ambiance? Wow. It's gorgeous. Thanks for putting so much effort into your reviews! The editing and quality are stellar. ;)
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE I actually just saw your video on the Aura lamps, and insta!bought two. LOL So many ways to customize that I couldn't pass it up! I can use them on both sides of my desk for some gentle ambient lighting while I game and while doing my ASMR streams. Gentle color-shifting is a perfect compliment to relaxing sound-healing work or soft-voiced reading. I can't wait to play around with it all!
The company actually makes pretty much all the same disks to use in the uncle Milton projectors and the sega. They are not cheap but are worth it! WAY better than copycat discs sold on Amazon
Another awesome review 👏🏻 Please do the Sega vs DS-1 review soon. I can’t decide which one I’m gonna get. I love that the DS1 can adjust brightness and has twinkle function a lot! Not so much the size and the price. Not sure if the Flux is too bright to fall asleep on and/or will it looks too fake due to the size of the stars and the way it projects. It also has too many bad reviews that made me wonder. I will definitely wait for your review and suggestion before I make the move if you are about to do one.
Hey there, The DS1 is definitely the more optimal product, but yes it is substantially more expensive. I'll be doing a video review on the flux later in the spring!
Keep making video dude. I just stumbled across the channel and everything about the production, lighting, sound, quality and editing is on point. You might not be racking up views now, but just keep being consistent and grind it out.
Welcome to the collective! I appreciate your comment, Very sound advice! I talk about grinding it out and staying consistent as being the key to success in some other vids. Thanks for supporting!
Hey man. Loved every bit of your video you gained a subscriber across your country.Actually I have a question.Does the projector gonna make any difference if I have objects on my ceiling like fan, chandelier or side false ceiling?Or is it still gonna give that smooth vibe?
Great vids my guy, I see a lot of your vids are about an ambient of lights. Maybe consider doing “Best of L.E.D’s” behind the TV or Room Borders. I’ve been wanting to spice up my Wall mounted TV.
those are very expensive. they’re on of the best available space projectors. love how accurate they are. one pet peeve are those fake space projectors that are not accurate whatsoever. this is one of the best of the best. edited to add: i was aware of their first run. awesome but still too rich for my blood.
My dude, HOW does your channel not have at least 1 mil subscribers? Your content is so well made and such high quality. Your energy and personality just bursts through all your vids. I can feel I'm about to go on a massive binge of all your videos 😂
Sneaky Bogan!!! Amazing, friend, thanks for the wonderful words of encouragement my friend. Appreciate you taking the time, doing my best to make this channel into something special! Binge away. 😂
finally, a galaxy lamp that actually looks like space, with shooting stars, instead of a green laser rave. Unfortunate that it costs the same amount as 4 broadway tickets.
I would have liked this more if the disc images weren't static like a classic 70's ViewMaster toy. A 3D rotating visual like nebulas and starts moving behind planets would offer a more dynamic experience. One shooting star zipping by in the same straight line every few minutes will quickly lose its novelty. Give me motion and I'm a buyer.
The $600.00 Price tag is way too expensive... It should be more like $200.00 or $400.00. I think no more than that... By the way... (Love your channel/Great channel). (Two-Thumbs-Way-Up)-!!
Hi, thanks for the review. I do have one question though. Does the projection itself create enough light for it to be a good nightlight in a living room?
I think this is an amazing product but its going to appeal to a different audience to the other projectors. This would be no good to spice up a games room. Also love the vids! I've bought 90% of the stuff you reviewed, lol you're good
Hah thanks Will! I also entirely agree with you, this is more of an "active" experience where you'll want to gaze and look at it. Where as the other projectors are more for adding bit of spice as you say in terms of room ambiance!
Since you mention the darkness problem... If I leave it on while watching Netflix in a big screen... will the light be too much? How would that compare to a Flux? I'm looking for something I can also use with friends over and not only in my bedroom.
Hi Kelly, no nothing like that. Those lines are actually on my ceiling. I have concrete ceilings so they are split into large squares with lines to prevent cracking!
The reason why the second run is more expensive as this is the Chrome plated model, the 1st model was just base metal. My biggest disappoint is a lot and I mean a lot of disks are sold out, so are you buying just the less popular / good disks?
Ah ok! Didn't know that! I also think a part of the reason the unit overall is expensive is due to the small volume limited runs currently (I briefly mention in the video). I'm sure if these were being manufactured at a volume of 5x - the price would be able to come down. Right now they're all assembled in the US. As for the discs I was told the Stormy Sky and the Eagle Nebula were two of the most popular discs (as show in the vid!) I really loved the Saturn disc and wish I could've tested a lot more.

Oh and PS not sure if you''ve heard about Monster brands new "Prisim & Digit & Orb" (and a few more) products, but might wanna check it out.
Thanks for supporting!
i used to play sims and sims 4 and there was this space interior pack which looks exactly like your room and its giving me soooo much nostalgia!
Hahah that'd be pretty sweet to see.
I want one of these now cuz I love star gazing and I’ll just get high af listen to music and watch the stars
Boy i might had to go grab this bih, that projector to cool for school 😎😍😂
Just added this on my wishlist 🥲
I love the interchangeable disks on this one, there are so many more options! Also, has anyone ever said you look like Rafe Spall? (But with way cooler hair, haha.)
They have a great collection of discs for sure! Rafe Spall is deinfitely a new one lol! Thanks for watching!
Great video!!!!! Any recommendation for even a bigger one?
I just wana tell u bro, keep up the good work and u might end up as 1 of the top reviewer for gadgets & related stuffs. Love from singapore
I appreciate that! It's a grind, doing what I can!
The editing and quality are stellar. ;)
Lol looks like you paid attention to my useage notes :D! Yup for streaming I'd recommend a Blisslights skylite by far the brightest! amzn.to/3baMyFr
Also thanks for dropping a comment and supporting!
@@WizardWayKris Yep! I think you'll be happy with the lamp, definitely will be great to set the mood for some ASMR content!
The company actually makes pretty much all the same disks to use in the uncle Milton projectors and the sega. They are not cheap but are worth it! WAY better than copycat discs sold on Amazon
Well done once again! I'd love to have some of your reviews regarding lighting for stage/live music.
Thanks for watching! I'm working on a video for the LaserCube that would be great for stage/live music coming out in a couple months! Stay tuned!
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE send me a message with details
Thanks for the video! This looks sick
Glad you like it!
Another awesome review 👏🏻
Please do the Sega vs DS-1 review soon.
So you would recommend this over all others you reviewed? Love your channel.
If you're looking for a home planetarium like this checkout - checkout the Sega Flux video I did! and thanks for supporting the channel!
It's right here: ruclips.net/video/AIHsU6qARF8/видео.html
As always high quality content
You know it! Thanks for watching and dropping a comment!
Amazing video bro! I'm also very very interested in the linear lights that you have in your room, the red and the blue ones. Where did you buy them?
Thanks for watching Carlos! I made a video about the light bars your referring too here: ruclips.net/video/ct6rgnAK-6c/видео.html
Love your background lighting
Thanks man! Appreciate the support from a fellow creator!
Good night am watching from Jamaica
Greetings from Toronto! Thanks for watching and saying Hi!
Just ordered mine, thanks for the great review, so glad I found you.
Did it end up taking a while to ship?
Hey there! That's awesome good luck with it - happy to have helped, took a few weeks to get to me.
Can you control
The brightness?
Great review. Do you think this would work in a larger room with very high ceilings?
Yes, so long as it's a dark room! I tested it on an 18ft ceiling just fine!
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE thanks 👍
Ayyy welcome bro we missed ya!❤️
Thanks man! Appreciate the support
Is this really better than the flux?
I’m trying to decide on which to purchase.
The video for the flux and this one make both of them look amazing.
This is better than sega, more stars and not as bright Making it appear more realistic
wow loved your flair! Subscribed!
Thanks for the sub Jay! Appreciate you supporting the channel!
Dude u should have at least 1 million subs
lol thanks. I hope I can get there one day, it's much harder than it looks 😛
Great review man! What disc has the clouds with the moon and the stars in the back?
Hey man thanks for watching! I believe that disc is called stormy night or something along those lines
Absolutely worth every penny
this channel is so underrated bruh
hey pixwe! Thanks man, I think so too lol. Hopefully it'll catch on if with people like you supporting and engaging with the vids.
Hey man. Loved every bit of your video you gained a subscriber across your country.Actually I have a question.Does the projector gonna make any difference if I have objects on my ceiling like fan, chandelier or side false ceiling?Or is it still gonna give that smooth vibe?
wow this projector is so beautiful!
It's quite nice, I have enjoyed using it and reviewing it!
I just got mine today 😌 which disks did you also purchase??
Awesome! I got the stormy night disc, the Saturn disc, the eagle nebula, chrome disk, and a couple others!
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE Awesome! Their is one disk I love with the moon and the clouds! Which one was that?
@@Brie13C I think it's called stormy night or something along those lines if my memory suits me!
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE Yes found it 👍🏼 thanks!
Your channel is just amazing! You deserve so much more subs :3
Thank you so much 😀
Great vids my guy, I see a lot of your vids are about an ambient of lights. Maybe consider doing “Best of L.E.D’s” behind the TV or Room Borders. I’ve been wanting to spice up my Wall mounted TV.
I've got just the thing for you, doing a video on it in a few weeks: amzn.to/3g57BdA
those are very expensive. they’re on of the best available space projectors. love how accurate they are. one pet peeve are those fake space projectors that are not accurate whatsoever. this is one of the best of the best.
edited to add:
i was aware of their first run. awesome but still too rich for my blood.
Thanks for dropping a comment! Although I love both styles the laser projectors and these home planetariums!
That music at the start was absolutely ridiculous hahahaha
My dude, HOW does your channel not have at least 1 mil subscribers? Your content is so well made and such high quality. Your energy and personality just bursts through all your vids. I can feel I'm about to go on a massive binge of all your videos 😂
Sneaky Bogan!!! Amazing, friend, thanks for the wonderful words of encouragement my friend. Appreciate you taking the time, doing my best to make this channel into something special! Binge away. 😂
well damn. i will be buying this down the road as the price becomes more reasonable. some of the quality of scenes are amazing.
Thanks for watching and dropping a comment! The scenes are quite cool, and they'll keep making more I'd assume.
finally, a galaxy lamp that actually looks like space, with shooting stars, instead of a green laser rave. Unfortunate that it costs the same amount as 4 broadway tickets.
Watching guardians of the Galaxy with this hits different.
Another great video. This is a really interesting product, with a really futuristic look. The build quality appears to be on point, as well.
Hi Hugo, thanks for watching and dropping a comment! Definitely a cool experience with this projector!
Julian out here - feeding us with Quality Review🤘
Haha thanks! There wasn't any good reviews really that showcased this projector, happy there is now though 😁
Love the channel brotha! This projector lamp looks dope af! Futuristic indeed 💫
Hey Will! Thanks man, appreciate the support, looks like your on your way too futurespacing your setup as well! 👍
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE yesir, I’m building a space station over here as well 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Excellent. I’m seriously contemplating getting one of these or something similar. I’d love an under water effect.
love this channel cant wait for more vids
That's awesome! Glad to hear it, more vids on the way :)
Totally agree!
Great video! Cool product!
Thanks for watching!
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it Thanks for watching
This is sick!!! How high are ur ceilings??? If I have low ceilings will I have the same effects maybe 9ft high….
My ceilings are 10ft high I believe so mostly the same effect!
Excellent upload.
Many thanks! Appreciate you watching and supporting.
Hi! Woah. This star projector is really cool! It feels so realistic!👏😍
Hey MoonGirl, thanks for watching - the most "realistic" projector out there!
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE
And nice T-Shirt NASA! 👏👏👏👏
Great video! Is there any way to adjust focus on the ds1?
Yea it has a focus ring that was not mentioned in the video.
The $600.00 Price tag is way too expensive... It should be more like $200.00 or $400.00. I think no more than that...
By the way... (Love your channel/Great channel).
(Two-Thumbs-Way-Up)-!!
Dope ass background music bro 😎
Please do a review and comparison of the sega homestar flux projectors. Just subscribed and love your content!
Hey Moface! I actually got a Sega Flux and will be doing a video on it in the upcoming weeks! Then I'll look to do a comparison vid
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE great can't wait to see it :D
What kind of chair do you have ? It looks very unique.
Thanks! Got it from wayfair, I forgot the name though, can look into it if you really want - the aesthetic is great but at a price for sure!
Hi, thanks for the review. I do have one question though. Does the projection itself create enough light for it to be a good nightlight in a living room?
I love your channel by the way its my third video in a row
Awesome! Thanks for watching and checking out the vids!
The price tag is pretty heavy, I would probably wait for a bit of dip in price but the quality is there big time
You might be waiting a while lol! Hopefully will come down one day.
Great video! Love the tips at the end, really helpful insight
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Great review... Amazing product!!
Hey Juan, thanks for watching and supporting!
Can the image stay still or does it always have to rotate? Also, how fast does the slowest rotation moves? Is it really noticeable?
Yes it can stay still if you prefer, the slowest mode does move fairly slowly to reveal different parts of the image.
okay this looks insanely cool 😍
Right!? Thanks for watching!
Since you mention the darkness problem... If I leave it on while watching Netflix in a big screen... will the light be too much? How would that compare to a Flux? I'm looking for something I can also use with friends over and not only in my bedroom.
Thanks for the great review. Just wondering, I see a lot of lines, are the discs scratched? If so, do they come like that or is it wear from use?
Hi Kelly, no nothing like that. Those lines are actually on my ceiling. I have concrete ceilings so they are split into large squares with lines to prevent cracking!
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE ahhhhhh! Thanks for explaining!
Will this work on vaulted ceilings? Or better yet what is the max feet that this thing will project to?
Should work on vaulted ceilings. Two main things are colour of the ceiling (white for best result) and having the room as dark as possible.
Cool channel just subscribed and I hope it engages with fun STEM 💯
Thanks for the sub! Appreciate the support.
Very cool. Hopefully they find some success!
Definitely a great idea for a product, just need to get the cost down!
