Thank you for this really helpful review 🙏
I am using the Philips Lumea (newer model) and my armpit and bikini hair is 99% gone. I have just used it 4 times and it is just amazing. I have fair skin and thick, dark hair on my body. It is soooo worth it!
That’s great to hear!!
Plz can i know how many days does it take between each time you used it in there 4 times. And what model exactly? Is it the lumea prestige Bri957?
@@abby5008 Hi. It’s recommended you leave two weeks between treatments.
May I ask if this is better on actual website or a place like Amazon?
@@donnapeterson1945 I bought mine from Amazon
Thank you for your review, I've seen your video after getting my device; I got the Braun IPL. I've been using it for 4 weeks and started to see results ☺️ of course I'll finish the treatment. I'm happy so far.
Great to hear 👍
Update?
@@Naaah101 Hello, well I do recommend it. My legs and armpit hair is 95% gone, I still have very little hair growing, barely visible (please remember that every person is different). I keep doing it every 3 months, maybe. Eventually I'll do the laser but I know it will be only a few sessions (so, I saved money using the Braun IPL). In my opinion, it's worth it. I hope this helps :)
I ended up getting the Braun ipl too! Just had my first session. I can’t wait to see how it goes!
Is it effective in the bikini area?
Thank u very much for the honest review Unfortunatly in my country laser devise as lumia are very expensive to buy and there is no like a garanty that u buy the original devise of laser
That’s really frustrating for you. Hope it changes.
I've just had my IPL session yesterday and I'm afraid the results won't be perfect since I'm a medium blonde, however my body hair is mostly dark blonde so I should see some improvement.
This was really helpful, thankyou. I am in desperate need of Laser or Ipl use with Pcos. My face is the worst part and I have been doing alot of research. Thank you
The good news is these devices are effective but I’d probably go for laser if it’s lighter facial hair.
No it's dark hair, beard and cheeks, so frustrating. I have payed for salon Laser in the past but Lockdowns stopped that and husband lost his job so not enough cash coming in to keep it going. Males sense for me to save a do DIY if I can. i know I may never get rid of the hair but at least it can be controlled. Great reviews thank you
@@kerryjohnston4645 Dark hair is actually good news in terms of the IPL and laser devices I’ve reviewed. The Tria has got rid of the hair on my upper lip : )
Electrolysis would benefit you most then use ipl/laser in-between treatment (if approved by treating pro) and as upkeep as needed. Pcos is so tricky, I'm sorry you're going through this.
Look into electrolysis. It’s the only permanent laser hair removal. Hormonal hair is tough.
Hi
Can the laser be used on medium brown skin ?
My hair is grey or light ..what is best
Thank you for your review..is difficult.
Hey, I was just wondering if you were still using the Tria and if you could give me an update?
Thank you for your honest opinion i also watched your video about lumea months ago and i found it very informative just like this one. I have lumea and it works well for me but i have to reapply it at least every 3-4 month. Now my hair is kind of thinner and since you have said tria takes lot of time maybe i should wait for technology to improve a bit more right? Also i have seen some comments about women from my country that can not apply tria on the bikini area so i am bit suspicious about the bikini area.
The Tria is time consuming in that is has such a small head, but I have virtually no under arm hair after using it, and very little on my bikini line either so it has proved really effective over time. You need to be clean shaven for it not to hurt and I use it on a low setting on the bikini area.
I have the tria laser and it does take forever to cover the areas since the laser area is really small. Plus because it is cordless battery keeps running out and I need to charge it in between areas.
@@NezOver I find that if fully charged I just get enough time from the battery to do under arms, bikini and legs now - though i’m not very methodical so am probably missing bits as I go 😃
@@NezOver teşekkür ederim cevap için
Thanks! What I'm using is the #touchbeauty hair removal PULSE. They're saying that treat the area weekly for 12 weeks and then once every month or as-needed after that. I did my legs and my bikini area and although there is still some hair there after maybe 14 treatments, I am SO THRILLED with the results. The hair is not as dark and thick so it is easier to shave!
first Thank you for this amazing review, Second thing i Have already bought philips Lumea Advanced and i got really good result so far, but do you think is this new device worth it to upgrate it from philips to this new one that you showed in the video please?
Hi Rodi. Glad you found the video helpful. I think the Tria has delivered lasting results and I now don’t need to shave under my arms at all and I only have a few hairs left on my legs so I do feel it’s an effective product. Hope that helps in your decision making. For me it has shifted the hair left by the Lumea but it is time consuming because of the very small head.
How much does this cost if you live in the U.S
Thanks for the video! I honestly can’t figure out if it would work for my hair pigment or not. I have dirty blonde hair, but the hair on my face and legs tends to grow in dark. Even when I shave, I can definitely see where the hair is due to (I think) the follicle being dark. If anything, I think I have a good chance of it working on my legs if not my face. Would love to hear some advice on this!
Both manufacturers have color guides which should help. It should work on your darker hair but I would definitely check the guides.
I have the Monsia Silk Series Pro and love it.
That 4RABAT merch last year was top notch excited for this year's goodies 🛍️
I had a few sessions of laser hair removal years ago and was advised to avoid direct sunlight for a week after each session. Using these at home laser and IPL products, do you still need to avoid the sun?
hi, the honest channel i have pigmentation on my arms and chin area, they are dark skin , however iam fair to medium skin tone, can i use IPL or tria or will it burn my skin recognizing the dark areas to be hair?
Hi. I think your safest option would be to
email Philips and Tria and ask them. I can only share my own experience of using these devices so they are best placed to answer your question.
The smaller head seems like it would be better on the bikini line. In an area where the difference between external and internal it's so fine a line.... Since that's the area where I find hair is the most irritating....🤔
I need like five devices taped together, or a tanning bed of laser light to get my whole body
I hear you! 😁
Me too Lmaooo
Yes! I hope the scientists are working on that!
@@Sky.Lukewalker Shoot, even a pair of underwear of laser lights, that would be enough
@@stephaniecollins6052 make it Steph! You'll be rich!
Thank you for this comparison! We also wanted to point out that our 4X Laser is cordless, and there is no need to wear the eye protection glasses! Another plus for laser!
Cordless for this type of device isn't a plus in my opinion. 9/10 times the battery is what goes first in cordless devices, while corded devices last ages.
@@itskrill agree! I hate the cordless movement.
@@itskrill Great Point!
What's the life of this? I saw 2-3 years or so or depending on how many pulses used before u have to replace the whole thing.
How painful is it compared to IPL?
Lumia guy here. It works wonders for me
Is it good for bikini ?
❤️❤️Thanks
You’re welcome!
Already planning my bets for IPL 2024 4RA gonna make it rain 🌧️
Grey hairs n my face ...help!
Last year's win was sweet but this year aiming higher with 4RA 💰
I wish I could have one but I can’t afford it at all and it’s awful because I’ve been struggling with PCOS and have no way to remove the hair on my face permanently. It’s really made me depressed my dream is to try this device one day
Hi Anna. If you drop me an email at clare@honest.scot I will try to help you out.
I feel your pain Anna ❤
PCOS brought me here too!
@@emmab7403 If you have darker hair and a lighter skin tone I think laser is a very good option 🤞
I have PCOS and just financed a Tria interest free. I can’t take tweezing anymore. It’s ruining my life and my skin too 😩🤨
nice review and lovely accent. the tria is noisy and irritating though. i prefer the philips lumea
Can we use those machine for all vagine please ? It’s is safe ? Please answer
I did 4 sessions of laser hair removal can I use IPL for follow up as the laser is very expensive and not affordable?
Yes, absolutely - though for longer-term results I would recommend the Tria laser. I've had impressively lasting results with it.
For hair which is dark and thick due to PCOD. Do you recommend tria or IPL? time isn't an issue.
Both are effective for hair removal but I’d be inclined to go with the Tria because of its longer term results
Is it possible that after using the tria or the IPL some hair which were previously thin started to have a thicker growth?
@@areejafzal8236 That certainly hasn’t happened to me and I can’t think how that could happen. Is this something you’ve heard about?
@@thehonestchannel Yes, I have heard it from someone who was using the braun IPL. Which has gotten me worried. I hope it doesn't happen.
@@areejafzal8236 I haven’t heard of that happening and it must be very uncommon.
Hello, How often should I use SR feature for the face?thank you
Hi. I would follow the instructions that came with your device. I'm not sure which model you're using.
@@thehonestchannel you are right I’m so sorry 🙈 Bosidin D-1178
Have you done an update yet?
I’ve done several separate videos on the Philips IPL device. The Tria laser is the most effective for long-term hair removal but takes longer because of the smaller head on the device. My conclusions in this video remain the same.
Hi
I have ordered IPL 2 peices from Boots for £299
Is it fine or you prefer amazon?
Boots is a big pharmacy chain in the UK so is a reputable trader 👍
@@thehonestchannel Thank you
And I got the IPL Lumea prestigue BRI945/00
@@zahrabatoolmanzoor2538 Has it worked
why is your tria laser purple? mine is colored red
Not sure about the wavelength of the laser but the camera picks up infrared as purple like a TV remote.
Which one is good for armpits and bikini, laser or ipl , I get tired so easily which one Is best for me ?
The laser has more or less got rid of my bikini and armpit hair completely. It’s great on smaller areas - takes a lot of time to do full legs though!!
Philips Lumia ❤
I really want to have one but too expensive.. hahays.
How come everyone here on RUclips claims these home machines worked for them in just a couple of sessions and here I am with my device I have used on my beard hairs for 17 weeks up to 3 or 4 times a week seen barely any reduction in hairs?
Am I unlucky or are people like you and others bloody lying?
So, firstly, no I’m not lying about my results. Like you I bought the device with my own money so if it didn’t work for me I would be as frustrated as you are.
Secondly, did you buy the Philips Lumea? If you’re using it multiple times a week that won’t help - the idea is you use it one a fortnight initially to coincide with the growth cycle of your hair. If your hair grows fast you could move to once a week but several times a week is too often.
Thirdly, as I make clear in the video, this device works best on darker hair and lighter skin. If your hair is lighter in colour then unfortunately the results won’t be as good.
@@thehonestchannel does it works on brown skin ?
Feeling depressed because i cant afford
I want to see the bikini line pics!
Does IPL help get rid of spider veins?
I haven’t noticed that with this device.
No
How about for a mans hairy back neck?
I've used the Tria on my husband's back hair. The very small head means it takes ages but we've found it to be an effective device on darker hair.
But I wanna use gel with itv😅😅
Ha! It may just be that I have a low tolerance threshold and I’m making a fuss over nothing!
I have blonde hair. Will this work?
I’ve included a link to a skin shade guide in the video description, but these types of devices are less effective on lighter hair colours. It may be worth emailing or messaging the maker of the device you’re interested in to seek further advice.
I been using an IPL home device on my facial hairs for 17 weeks and have only seen very patchy results. Slowed growth but otherwise tones of black and brown hairs still remain. Waste of time and money. Not sure if I would have any better luck with this Tria machine. Not sure I want to spend between 3 and 4 hundred quid on something that might not even work.
Hi Davinia. I’ve replied to your comment on my IPL video with thoughts.
Thats great but $500??? Thats way too much
The price (already high) has gone up quite a bit in the last couple of years. It’s a shame.
Ladies, this is the biggest scam. Don’t waste your money. I had patience for 4 months using tria with no improvement at all. Since I have to shave now my hair is now thicker and sharper. Switching to Phillips. So disappointed
Sorry it didn't work out for you. I have to say though the Tria has been on the market for several years now and is a mainstream tried and tested product so it's not fair to say it's a scam because it didn't work for you.
My results and opinions are genuine as with all my reviews.
you can't use these on your genitals? I want to laser the hair off my bikini area
Using that tria takes months for 1 legs😂 soo small head
Ain’t that the truth. It’s effective though if you can spare the time to do it
Let's show IPL 2024 what we got teaming up with 4RABAT for the win 🏏🎉"
Does this caused cancer?
I've seen no evidence of that.
😂”….. and….. do not worry I am not going to show you my bikinis before and afters” 😂😅😂. OMG I forgot my question there for a while that I wanted to ask you. Nevertheless, here is the question: did you also notice any rejuvenation effect for example on your upper lip, when you used the laser for hair removal?
Haha! It's a good question - I can't say I did notice a rejuvenating effect on my skin but I was impressed with the hair loss results : )
@@thehonestchannel thank you! Love your channel 🌞
$900.00 !!! You are out of your mind.
?? Neither of the products featured here are anywhere close to $900.
@@thehonestchannel : Amazon lists that laser at $900.00. I looked it up while watching your video.
@@wrongfullyaccused7139 I’ve linked to the device on Amazon UK and I think it automatically diverts viewers in other parts of the world to the same or similar product in their own regions. I can’t see what it’s linking to in the US but $900 seems excessive for whatever it is!
@@thehonestchannel : I agree. The TRIA site itself lists it for $499.00. I did not follow a link though. I have an account with Amazon and just looked it up.
Still too rich for my budget though.
Thanks for responding all the same. Best wishes.
For people suffering from ingrowns, please don’t bother doing any hair removal and let the hair grow out. Both IPL and laser hair removal will make the problem worse. Wouldn’t recommend at all. 0/10
Not true at all
@isidoraklamm it's all good. You obviously haven't seen the right dermatologist that isn't trying to steal from your wallet
@@3liverse Im sorry for your bad experience but I do IPL laser at home and I had a huge problem with ingrown hair before. My bikini are looked terrible. The IPL device made my hair softer and the skin go much smoother, it's like the pores are shrinking. Maybe you have ingrown at the beginning because naturally the hair will fall out but you have to keep going. Also I use a very strong device, like it really fucking hurts but it does the job. It took only 3 sessions for my arm hair to be gone almost completely. The bikini area is very stubborn but it slowly fades away.
