Would love to hear your thoughts on the following: 1. Should you have eye protection? 2. How painful should it be? Like must you do it to the point it hurts? 3. Would you do it for your bikini line? I was thinking of doing this to myself but I'm so scared 😂
1. You don’t need it. It does not flash like other home laser machines. It is the best in that regard so far. If you use for example Braun 5, you do need glasses 2. Each person pain threshold is different, it shouldn’t be a nightmarish experience. But each one tolerates pain in different ways. Areas where the hair is stronger and skin softer: armpits and bikini, will hurt more. It tent to be where hair is more hormonal. 3. Try it. But I recommend to have somebodies help. In my case I can handle better the unpleasantness when someone os firing away and in the bikini area it will help you to relax as you do not have to adopt weird posture to get the laser into position. I hope it helped
The Tria works great but you should set the comfort level to your body. You told us you did not feel anything until 3 and then it was easily tolerable. Then you went right to 5 the max. That hurt. Every time it hurt. Stop that. From seeing hundreds of reviews it works well on the lower settings too. So what if it takes two more treatments to get results? Do not burn your skin in a hurry. Set the level to NOT hurt bad. Maybe a little is OK. You treated at too high a setting. It works on lower settings too. Use a setting that does not hurt bad. We want to get rid of hair so we run at max. Not needed to get results.
yeah in the instructions ( I have the older) but it says as high as you can handle and she just went all in. for me only some hurt because it can see the pigment better. but yeah its not supposed to hurt like that all the time;;;;;
Hello. Did u use always ice or cream after each treatment? And did u have any scar because of it when u feel too much pain ? I have it. But, ı did not start to use it yet.
Seen one of these at a second hand store. The wavelenth is 808nm + or -3 nm the laser diode inside is a 10W laser, but it pulses the power to upwards of 20W. It is poweref ny a couple high current 18650 cells. Uses a capacitive sensor to detect safe contact with skin. The issue is the diode is driven by a mosfet inside that can make it stay on till the battery dies if it fails.
does it shut off after 200 uses? I have been following this product. I've gone to clinics to get it done. But I want my own. I'm just worried it'll shut off after 200 uses. Thanks!!
I had an older version of this and I'm looking in to getting another one. Eventually mine stopped working but I had it for four years and used it often. One thing I like is it won't flash unless it's on an active follicle, so the more treatments you do, the less flashes you will feel. It worked, but I needed frequent spot treatments and some of it has grown back. I do miss having it especially now that I'm going through menopause and have little dark hairs pooping up in places m especially my chin😑. Thanks for the review! I think I'm definitely going to spring for another one!
Thanks for your Tria 4X review! 4 days ago I just bought my Tria 4X and am ok with the highest setting 5. Two weeks ago I bought my IPL, used 1x and am about to return the IPL, UNLESS you can think of a reason to keep it, for some unforeseen case in which it will come in handy? My Sarlisi 16J IPL is the highest Joules I could find, with 999,000 flashes so it doesn't need a refill cartridge. Also, different IPLs have separate settings for Acne Removal (RA) and Skin Rejuvenation (SR), in addition to Hair Removal. Have you heard if those work, or is it better to buy a laser for that too, such as Tria Age-Defying SmoothBeauty Laser, for the face? Even if you haven't tried it, what have you heard? Thanks for answering some or all of my questions!
Hi! Thank you for this helpful information! Could you maybe let us know about the longterm effects of your at home treatment? So how many days/weeks/months can you go between shaving. (And if you go many days/weeks/months between shaving, how many treatments did it take you to get to not shave for longer period of time?) Is it safe to use in the face, for example upper lip? (And could you maybe explain about the intensity of the flashes? I never really understand about those. In the video you use the highest setting. Is that because "it's the best"? What I mean is, is that the only setting that would have long term effects? I read that sometimes the wrong intensity can boost the hair growth instead of lowering it (I think that was for IPL though), but I was just wondering if there are similar risks for laser? (And there is no cancer or other long term effects one has to be afraid of right.)
I wish it could work while plugged in. Having to use it on battery.. That doesn't last very long.. And wears out.. Is a huge downer.. But I still got one because 99% of the rest of them are just a scam... So thanks for making a good one!
Great video! I’m currently undergoing professional laser treatment everywhere in my body and I really love it! I’m thinking of purchasing this product for my maintenance what do you think Dr. Crystal?
Wondering if it would ok to use Dermaplast (I think that's what it's called) to numb the area first? I just recieved mine and am planning to use it this weekend. I am really in no mood to go through the birthing process, lol.
i have thick, dark south asian hair and today i tried on my legs and i was in tearsss like i cant even go above a 2 because it was so painful for me but my mum has thinner, lighter hair and she had no problem
I bought a Tria device from you, but unfortunately it stopped working. I think it needs to charge the flashes or change the lens. Please reply what to do
What would you recommend more? The Tria or the Kenzzi. I know they are different (one laser, one IPl) and clearly one is stronger than the other..but the stronger one is much more costly. Would love your opinion!!
Yay, I was finally here the same day! Has been a while.. I want that thing too! But it is pretty expensive for me, having to live off of disability. I am so happy for you though! It hurts, but if the results are worth it, which they seem to be.. then go Dr. Crystal! And Dr. Heather! Good luck with the rest! Sending love and hugs! ❤️🤗
I’ve done two sessions on my legs with this device and they’re already growing back patchy! I’ve started in winter so I’m super excited to have smoother legs for summer 😁
I bought one of these. Before it arrived I watched her video and thought the pain wouldn't be THAT bad.. but no... Idk how she did it on highest setting... It ACTUALLY is very very painful. I really want rapid results but I just cannot do the 5 setting. She's a complete bad ass. Just beware...this ACTUALLY hurts VERY badly.
Just did my first season and ONLY on ONE on face which no pain, BUT MY chest OMG it hurt and I have Tattoos. Does anyone know or can answer if it Will it get easier regarding pain with each session as the hair follicles start to die? How are people able to use on 5?
I went 5 time and did candela laser .now i cant go anymore..alexandriate Candela 5gmax with 755nm..can I use this laser for my hair body..after5time my hair get thin and less..if I use tria laser dose not come back my hair body ?
I was just researching this and came across your video. Now that its august, are you still doing it? How is the hair now? I have some pretty stubborn arm pit hair too.
Thank u great video, there is other brand like Philips, bosidin and sedenga , kenzo.. that they have high reviews.. how could I know which one is best..
I’ve had laser 4 laser treatments very very expensive and doesn’t do the job..250 to 300 for 15 minutes tops.. this is the brand Kim kardashian has at home for her personal use.. very spendy buy way worth the $499.00 so say 500.. where do I order this ??? Thanks Joyce Ann
Whoa! I get mine done professionally and it doesn’t hurt at all. I wanted to get this so I don’t have her down there in my bikini area, but idk if it’s gonna be this painful😳
I had it and in armpits and the bikini area it does “hurt” or feel uncomfortable to professional level laser. So it is intense. The hair there is course so the laser picks it. Legs, chest, arms it’s totally ok. It feels like a little pinch. But beware of the dark hard hair areas. Downside, the battery does run out quickly in higher power and you cannot do the whole body in one go, so it is better to split the treatment of you do whole body in two days or along the day because you will have to stop to charge it
I am a man and I would like to model my beard line.it is the only small head device on the market ... What if I get burned? I'm afraid to give the money to this device and then not be able to use it. I know the laser is more powerful than the ipl. But I can't find a small head ipl device for small areas
I dont understand why you didnt follow the directions of starting at a lower setting and gradually raising it up as your skin gets more tolerant to the laser??? 🤔
Would have been SO much better if she attached pictures before after in the end since her armpit hair is literally not visible (before or after shave) and you will never know the difference at all :(
Her armpits look amazing now 2/3 of that dark hair is gone. I believe in this product very much but I need all hair of my face.. I have dark hair as well and it works better on fair skinned dark course hair.. I’m so so resdyy

What we have seen with four treatments, it seems it's been working cuz she has less hair in her armpits.
My friend told me when he used it, it caused a slight stink? Like where the hair was removed on his leg haha. Did you experience that?
Lol no not for me

No you can’t, as long as you keep it against your skin. And I definitely wouldn’t recommend doing your eyebrows or anything that close to your eyes!

Wondering if numbing cream would work? Or will it stop lazer ?
You can use an over the counter lidocaine cream/gel to help minimize the laser sensation.
I have it too, and I didnt think it was going to hurt as bad. The laser treatment hurts way less in my opinion, but obviously its more money etc, etc
