Shave, NOT pluck or wax, the hair 1-2 days before treatment. Expect multiple time intensive treatments. Don't use it around the eye.
Wow you guys are some of the most ungrateful people I've ever seen on youtube! Why are you even on this channel if you don't want thorough, valuable, important information, that you would otherwise have to pay a dermatologist to ask? Every single person has individual skin! And Dr Dray is trying to cover every single possible scenario/interaction/option/outcome for every different person who may be watching her channel! Why not just search your question on google if you want a one word/one sentence answer with no other information for you to consider in your circumstances! 😅 Wow. Just wow.
I wish professional laser hair removal was more accessible (ie: less expensive) to people. I had it done on my legs, underarms, and bikini area and it changed my life!!!
@@Julia-lx7zt I have about 3-4 stubborn hairs on each leg and ONE under my arm 😂 I either shave or pluck them. They are finer hairs than what I had before. Good question.
@@Julia-lx7zt You do need to come back 1-2 times per year for a treatment if you want the effect to stay at maximum. Also keep in mind that hormonal changes (pregnancy, menopause) can trigger a change in hair growth again.
Just FYI I had it done 8 years ago and I'm still 100% satisfied. I went to American Laser Skincare when it was still open in my area. They had the latest technology and RNs provided the treatments. I went once a month for about 6 months.... this was for each area I had done.
I was looking for IPL hair removal recommendations and immediately thought “I hope Dr. Dray had a video on it because she’s so honest and informative about things”
I started using another brand called skin genic IPL last year. I’m quite satisfied with the results I'm seeing.. It was also budget friendly compared to the Kenzi.
I've been considering getting this for so long, but all reviews are sponsored! I actually trust your scientific review and it seals it for me. I suffer from very coarse, dark, body hair, with extra sensitive dry skin that I can only shave my body once a week otherwise shaving hurts and my skin gets torn up from it. Need this!
It’s worth a try but don’t expect miracles. I’ve tried it and I have super thick dark hair but pale skin so it definitely thinned out the hair with regular use but the moment I stopped I was back to square one in a months time. So you gotta keep up with these home devices. Nothing compares to professional laser hair removal though.
Yes!! I love freezing the fruit for smoothies. Comes out much creamier too. When i buy a lot of fruit or buy say a pineapple or papaya, i cut it up in cubes, put in serving sized containers & put in freezer. I leave it out for a few Minutes to thaw just slightly before making the smoothie
@@emilye709 Pretty sure it’s for the sugar intake. It tastes much better with frozen fruit but you are also consuming a lot more sugar. Some of us limit sugar intake, even natural sugars from fruits, for various reasons.
It works! I’m 6 treatments in on my Kenzzi and my legs already barely need to be shaved the once a week it requires for the treatment. I love it! My arm pits and bikini line have slower hair growth, I see improvement but not the same I see on my legs yet. So far so good!
Thanks for reviewing this Dr Dray. I went with the SkinGenics IPL looks similar but very budget friendly and happy to say that I'm seeing excellent results ❤️
I have the Kenzzi and it definitely works. HOWEVER, it overheats after one leg and I have to unplug and let it cool down before I can do the other leg. I contacted the company and they said they would not exchange the device and that I would have to mail it back overseas at MY expense. Very bad customer service.
So true they have the worst customer service! Mine stopped working after 3 times and they refused a refund. Bought another like a dummy and used it for 14 weeks straight and my hair is exactly the same. Such a waste of money
You are so right about the tanning bed melanoma "sky rocketing". I tanned when I was "young and dumb" as a teenager, and then developed melanoma with multiple, very expensive, surgeries following. I try and teach youth to avoid these every chance I get!
I would love love love for you to do a deep dive/comparison of different at home IPL devices. Some of them are stronger than others, I believe there's even one at-home true laser (as opposed to IPL) version out there. I have been wanting to purchase one for so long, but I am paralyzed by choice! And its hard to find reliable information out there. Thank you so much
Yup, this video upload came just in time! Would love to hear Dr Dray's reviews of all the at home gadgets for all kinds of hairs (including the ones on the face: side burns, chin etc)
Kimberly KKV Electrolysis requires hairs to be _individually_ removed by inserting a device into the follicle. When working on that much of a micro scale, that’s something that should be left up to professionals 😂
My skin is incredibly white, practically translucent and have very thick dark black hair. It has thinned out my hair a lot and is a lot less noticable. Some spots are even bald for longer periods. I love at home ipl! It's so much cheaper then going to a professional setting which isn't permanent.
YOU WILL BE CHARGED CUSTOM CHARGES EVEN THOUGH KENZZI DO NOT CHARGE FOR SHIPPING. I WAS INVOICED SEPARATELY BY FEDEX WHO CHARGED ME £45 FOR DELIVERY FROM CHINA TO THE UK. Please be aware of this before you decide to buy. You have to pay the customs charge.
I just love these daily vlogs. I clean my house and do laundry and face masks while listing to you. Even watered my outdoor plants. Thanks for the content. You’re such a sweet person.
Happy Mother’s Day to you and your Mother. She is in my prayers. I appreciate your reviews and recipes. You certainly have enhanced my quarantine experience. I just love learning new things. Hope you have a blessed day.
I’ve had 7 laser hair removal treatments about $350 each session. Which were spaced 10-12 weeks apart. Im told bc my hair isn’t super dark I need another 5 session for 98% removal. But with the treatments most of the hair is gone, I’m probably at about 70% hair removal.
What type of laser do they use? I had 6 sessions with dark hair and was told 4-6 weeks in between sessions or else it won’t be effective. It’s been working great so far, but 10-12 weeks apart sounds off to me…
When you explain things it’s just so easy to understand and you make stuff so clear. I really appreciate it😭, I always watch your videos before I think about buying something
Oh I've been using my Kenzzi immediately after shaving, I will try it after I get some stubble next time. Good tip! I have noticed some decreased hair growth already, that being said I rarely ever use it on the max setting
I swear, it's just a cheap whitelabeled aliexpress product. I've seen this exact device on aliexpress and the price mark-up is just enough to be suspicious
I have a Kenzzi and it works pretty well. I kind of stopped using it bc I got lazy but need to start doing it again. I once used it on my arms, which have a lot of freckles on them, and it seemed like it actually burnt me. I also might have had it up too high. But I have dark hair that grows fast so this is perfect for me. I was wondering how it differs from others like it though. Otherwise a good purchase!
I spent a lot of money on laser hair removal, it does work. My hair growth has reduced by atleast 85%. But the thing is these Med spas are totally looting money.. they don’t cover the full area every time they just keep missing the areas or rush toward finishing the process. I hate them for doing that after paying thousands of dollars out of pocket
Thanks for the info on the laser hair removal. As always, you know and share all the details. I absolutely LOVED your leopard sport shorts! You looked just darling in them! Have a great Sunday today. LOVE your channel!! XXOO Beth
I know Im asking randomly but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot the account password. I appreciate any help you can offer me
@Cameron Titus Thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
@@pearlcrystal7802 I had a different experience. I bought the kenzzi last october and I did the recommended once a week for 12 weeks and didn't see much change. I continued longer than that too & I wouldn't say it is worth the hundreds of dollars I spent on it. I ended up starting professional laser hair removal this month. For reference I am irish and have fair skin and black hair.
I’ve been hearing a lot about Gua Sha for lymphatic drainage.. basically it’s supposed to slim your face to give better looking bone structure. Have you heard of this technique?
I use it on mornings when my face is puffy e.g. water retention possibly from eating too much salt or drinking water irregularly. It does help to de-puff my face immediately.
I ordered a Kenzzi after seeing the results Angie of Hot & Flashy experienced and I got it for my upper lip hair. I am 70 and no longer have hair on my legs and almost none in my underarm area. She also experienced a lightening of sun damage and I am hoping to improve a spot on my temple area. Your cookies looked wonderful and since I am Keto, I will try the recipe with almond butter. Thank you!

I love when I’m researching a product and you have a video on it. Yours is one of the few opinions I trust! I am considering a home hair removal device so this is helpful thank you!
I’m really insecure about my facial hair and want it removed ASAP, but can’t afford to go to electrolysis appointments as frequently as they need you to and the idea of making a one time purchase for nearly permanent results is okay with me!
I was skeptical about this. I'm a guy with a super amount of hair. I like getting tattoos and want them clear and visible and was wanting more but was tired of trimming and feeling stubbly, waxing only lasting 5 days and shaving getting ingrown. So I said screw it, let me see if this works. After about 4 sessions I was worried nothing was going on. After 6 it didn't seem much different. I had to take a break between the 7th for about two weeks. It was then I really realized how much reduction was done. Most of my thighs and legs the hairs nearly gone. Just a few small patches. It seems to struggle a bit more with the denser areas. Inner thighs near public region, tops of arms, top of chest. All in all tho it's working great. Really shocked how well it's working. I'll have to keep up so I can get to nearly zero left and can stop shaving altogether. I'm like level II on the skin color if that helps. Being fair skinned with nearly black hair has had really good results.
I think I'm going to take the plunge and buy this. I'm South Asian and my hair growth is very dark and thick, but my skin is quite fair. I saw a recent review by a fellow South Asian with similar hair issues and she seems to have liked it so far. And seeing your science-backed review, I think I will go ahead with it. Thanks!
Most products come with a manual that has skin patches (swatches?) showing what's workable and what's not good for IPL that you can always check first :)
@@SarasBites it did, it takes a few months but it definitely slowed the hair growth and left me with hairless patches. The key is to keep up with it. Xx
Please be aware of being charged high custom fees (21,40€ from China to Europe). On top of that I was quite disappointed of the device itself because it didn’t work properly from the beginning on and the fact that there’s no option to get a refund (or at least part of it) doesn’t speak for Kenzzi aswell.
Happy Mothers Day to your Mom,i pray she is doing well & will soon be back to sharing her weekends with you & your viewers who miss seeing the 3 of you together, nice she has Tybee for companionship during this difficult time.🙏🙏
Hi! May I ask you a question. I have dark hair and light skin, however I also KP and mine is pretty bad. I don't know if this treatment would make my KP worsen. Thank you!

Hi got done laser hair removal on my face by a dermatologist, I wasn't impressed it blistered & left discolored skin which took 2-3 months to get normal
I had my back waxed once, it looked good for 3 weeks then I got severe ingrown hairs that took over a year to go away and was a million times worse than a hairy back
Can it be used to remove hair on skin that has hyperpigmentation or melasma, or will it make it worse? I read that IPL can be used to lighten these spots but not sure.
Erika Julian I would just get the spot checked out by a dermatologist to check it out first bc I read some skin cancer goes untreated bc the spots were removed by at home ipl devices
No. Stay away from these if you have any form of hyperpigmentation. You’ll ruin your skin and make it much much darker. It’s a no go with melasma as well. I’d suggest using hydroquinone or any other prescription strength skin lightener under your doctor’s advice. Get rid of the hyperpigmentation and then you can try laser or IPL for the hair removal.
I’m a man with lots of hair all around the outside edge and inside of my ears. Is this device safe for this area? This is the real reason Van Gogh severed his ear lobe 😜
Bc you can't shave the inner guys short Id imagine it wouldn't do too much to them...you're also never going to see any professional recommending it because it's pretty close to the eyes and you'd risk cataract formation over time if you can't get a tight seal on the skin. You're a prime candidate for professional laser hair removal.
No no no I saw a video on RUclips of a girl who used IPL for her face/cheek area, got too close to the ear accidentally burnt the inner ear hairs off and suffered vertigo because of it 😬 you have to be sooo careful with ears, eyes, things like that. Look into hair removal cream for the outer ears and just trim the inner ears not remove completely. Everybody has those hairs and they serve an important purpose. Removing them will almost guarantee chronic ear infections, the hairs trap dirt to stop it going further inside the body, similar to our nose hairs lol
@@rainbowcupcakeish I've seen men with long thick ear hair that literally blended right into their pony-tails; strands that were indistinguishable in length and thickness from hair on their head and beard. I think this guy is talking about real, thick, long, actual hair.. similar to nose-hairs that grow long and thick into mustaches, not the protective fluffies. High testosterone can be a drag sometimes.
Hi Dr. Dray I know you might not see this but I have a question about IPL. I bought a Braun IPL device and the box has a warning about not using it if you’ve had skin cancer. Is there any risk of skin damage/skin cancer when using an IPL?
I wanted to let you know I am having an awful experience with KENZZI as a business. I went on their website I to check a promo code, whether it in fact works, but somehow I must have hit the buy button because I ended up on the Thank you for your order page. I wrote to them immediately explaining the situation but they are refusing to cancel the order saying its against their policy! I also cannot return the product unless I take photographic evidence of 6 weeks that I tried the product but it didn't work for me. I think what they are doing is a terrible business practice!
That's very true. I tried to cancel my order as soon a I hit the button. They're refusing to cancel the order because it was already in process (not shipped) by the time they got my email in New Zealand . Fast forward a week later, they stated it delivered when in fact it did NOT! I've spent a week and a half going back and forth via email. I even contacted the shipping company and they have no record/proof of delivery. Kenzzi is impossible to work with. I've reported them to my credit card company. Buyer beware. Good luck trying to get your money back. I will never order from them again.
I am experiencing this right now!! I didn't realize I wasn't a "candidate for IPL" until I read the user manual they emailed the minute I placed the order. Less than 3 hours after I placed the order, I contacted them to cancel the order I had originally been looking forward to. They replied several hours later the same day, saying the order was already processed and linked to the money-back guarantee, which does not apply to me because I don't plan on trialing a product I'm not supposed to be using due to my personal situation. Buyer beware, indeed! I haven't even used the product and now will tell people to never buy from this company!
The videos are always so colorful am I the only one that notices this I doubt it. Seeing that smoothie in the jar and the cookies is making me seriously weak. I'm looking to order another at home IPL hair remover, but I'm wondering are they safe to go over the entire bikini area? Can you give yourself a full Brazilian style hair removal using these devices?
I got laser hair removal done at a med spa and it can be very stubborn near the labia part since the hair grows back from hormones. Im not sure if this would work but if you do try it, the labia area takes the longest for it to get removed.
It gave me horrible hyperpigmentation that didn’t go away for 3 weeks after hydroquinone and lytera applications twice a day . Be careful !!! I looked like a zebra for a long time ! It doesn’t hurt and it’s very deceiving because of the no pain ... i noticed after i finished the horrible marks on my legs ... so try one area and wait approx 15 min to see a reaction
Cat Smith - ok, I'm fifty now and a single mum to a young child. My dating days are long gone, so I couldn't care less if my Watusi looks like a zebra - but did it get rid of the hair???? :)
Could you do a review on Electrolysis? I have found professional laser treatments to be ineffective and it actually lightened the skin around my mouth. For many years, when I was young I used electrolysis for hair removal. I found a women who was a nurse and well trained in this technic. I had a few very bad experiences before I found her expertise. I am again looking for a good electrologist in the area I moved to and I can't find anyone that does it. Has this type treatment gone away completely?
I also want her opinion on electrolysis. Is it just going too above and beyond to get it done on my underarms? I was looking into it but talked myself out of it. I do know it is the only way of truly permanent hair removal.
I'd also love Dr. Dray's commentary on electrolysis - specifically what to look for in an electrologist. Any certifications, type of equipment? I had 4-5 sessions on a small area and there was no improvement.
I've done electrolysis on my eyebrows so I don't have to pluck as much. Electrolysis is theoretically permanent versus IPL/Laser. It does take a long time as it targets one hair follicle at a time. Definitely good for smaller areas and doesn't matter about your skin tone/color. I really like it and I think it's a bit more affordable than Laser. Also I've done 6+ Laser treatments on my underarms, some hair has come back after like 5 years.
Professional laser hair removal was alot less painful than electrolysis. It also took alot less time per session. It takes like 10 minutes tops for my neck, chin and lip. Electrolysis takes 30-40 minutes per session.
I paid a zillion dollars for six sessions of laser hair removal that did absolutely nothing, so I'm skeptical of all of this. Some hairs are just stubborn as hell and I happen to have them.
I have pcos and grow a literal beard and have some hair on chest and belly. It's so frustrating. I had laser but then that clinic closed and the only other place doesn't offer special rates for hormonal imbalance (they allow it for trans and local students though 😒). Idk why a bio woman can't get this done without going broke.
I’ve been seeing videos around RUclips that apple cider vinegar can help reduce dandruff. They say that apple cider vinegar is anti bacterial and I’ve seen your dandruff video in which you say that dandruff is like a fungus. So does that mean that this could be possible solution? Also is apple cider vinegar anti bacterial? Btw loved your outfit in this video and thanks for creating this video. I’ve been wanting to get laser hair removal for a while and I have fair skin and dark brown hair so I might end up getting this instead.
I've had such bad problems with dandruff, lots of pain and hairloss. Acv in different concentrations didn't do anything for me, it soothes a tiny bit after washing but then all the symptoms come back. I've ended up making shampoo myself with Cocoamidopropyl Betaine and Piroctone Olamine and now I've got it under control. Most anti-dandruff-shampoos(over the counter and from the pharmacy) are really harsh but contain little active ingredients so they can aggravate the problem
I’ve tried this, with shampoo that had apple cider vinegar. It did help initially, but over time my scalp started to get irritated and burn. At one point, I could literally feel the sun burning my scalp on my drive to work.
I have always had dandruff and I use about 1/5 cup ACV in a cup of water as hair rinse every time I wash my hair and it keeps dandruff under control, I've been doing this for over a year but still I don't find it removing all the dandruff. I wish Dr dray give us an informative video on that🙏
I ordered from Kenzzi online and used it 2 times fully. On day 3, I used it on level 4, and it overheated. It has stopped completely. It still will not turn back on. I have emailed Kenzzi but have not heard back yet. I am hoping that they will guarantee their device. Sadly, it only worked twice... certainly not enough time to get results.
Hey there, I’m 50yrs old and have always used a beautician with an electrolysis machine. It can be painful in some areas but you can have the strength turned down. The higher the better though and beautician technique also plays apart. It won’t banish them forever though. That’s just the nature of broken capillaries, you get rid of some but over time more will appear. After treatment you will be left with pale micro scabs that are not noticeable but must be kept dry for 24/48hrs. (Sorry, can’t recall) The girl I use just now is excellent, I hope she’s still around because it’s been 5 yrs. since she treated me and it’s only now I notice one or two appearing around the nose again. She charged me £24 Stirling. Took about 15/20 minutes. Also, I should say, this info is the experience of me and my fairly pale skin so darker skinned girls please do research how this treatment may affect your skin type as a friend of mine (who’s darker than me) was left with tiny white pin prick marks after. However, they faded within a matter of months. Hope this helps. x
I have the kenzzi. I’m 4 treatments in and it’s working so far by slowing down the hair growth process on my legs and bikini area. I’ve seen no difference on my underarms. My guess is bc the hair is more coarse there. The only con is that the thing overheats and it stops working until it cools down. It’s annoying bc I have to wait an hour to start back up again. It’s very time consuming bc of it and can take me 3 hours to finish my treatments.
Sarah Thomas No just bikini. I would but I need help to get there bc I can’t see and it’s awkward for me to do it on my own. I don’t live with my boyfriend or else he could do it for me. Plus it’s sensitive there. I’ve tried on my pubic bone and it hurts a lot. So I just did bikini area. Also you’re not to do it on darker skin tone and I think Brazilian areas are darker skin tone so I just didn’t try. Definitely need to look more into it in the future bc I would like to do Brazilian. But it’s definitely working! Again, very slowly on my underarms, good on bikini, and working great on my legs.
Dr Dray what’s your opinion on laser hair removal now 2023. Dr office, Medspa and home treatment? which devices do you recommend? Thanks love your videos, I’m hooked! ❤
Would tanning glasses be helpful in protecting the eyes? Would you also PLEEEEASE please please do a video on folliculitis???? I keep getting these bumps and some are red and some are flesh colored I’ve been to two dermatologists and they’ve diagnosed it as such, but they seem to be spreading and they can get inflamed sometimes too. Thanks 💕
Hi Dr Dray could you do a video about laser hair removal for darker skin tones about what you should look for/ask the specialist to make sure you don't get conned. E.g. what kind of laser they should have etc.
I've gotten professional laser hair removal, so I wanted something affordable to maintain it. This did NOT work. It actually made my hair grow faster. Also the machine would over heat so much it was annoying.
I was in the middle of a laser hair removal treatment when the pandemic began. The sessions had to stop and the hair grew all over again. Did I lose all the money spent?
GrasiCarter15 yes, u need to start again now !! When i was getting laser, i missed a session because of exams and my hair became coarse again so i had to restart my whole journey. But it depends on how many sessions you have done. If you have done like 5-6, it will be easy to get back on track
Kimberly KKV Really? I had no luck with electrolysis. It was painful and it seemed to work at first. I went to about 8 treatments and missed 2 appointments and it came right back.i was paying $150.00 a treatment
I noticed my kenzzi seriously gets hot, so I have to stop and unplug in order to continue, I’ve seen other people experience the same thing, but not from influencers that have “discount codes” from this product so I really do not know if I should continue because I am afraid that it will burn me, or maybe is an issue with my device? Not sure. Thank you so much for this review Dr. Dray!
Just watched another video from Angie/Hot and Flashy and she showed how effective as an unexpected side effect, it was in removing sun damage spots/"freckles" and the change was dramatic. They weren't moles but hyper pigmented "age spots" or sun damage spots. I only got 7 plus minutes into your review as I am short on time but thought I'd throw that in for any others who have the same issues I have from sun exposure and burns as a bikini clad young and foolish wild child of the 60's and 70's!! Pam W same here. It’s so freaking annoying. I’m 62 and I’ve told my daughters that if I can’t do it myself, they need to make sure to shave my facial hair. As I get older, my underarm & leg hair is very slow to grow but my chin hairs grow like freaking weeds. I get by with shaving my legs every couple of months. I have to shave my chin daily. 🤷♀️

@@aarond53 Customer service mean anything to you? Do you actually want your product? You might want to do some research on the company itself. Check out Hot & Flashy’s review and read all the comments from people who paid for theirs and still haven’t gotten it after a month because they’re demanding people pay an extra $30 to clear customs. Or how the FDA put a hold on it and are telling people to send it back to the port city to be confiscated. Or how the company charges a $75 restocking fee and you have to pay return shipping overseas. Dr Dray told you all you need to know?? 😂 First day shopping online??? 😂 Good luck to you then.

Hey Dr. Dray! Question! I know in your previous laser video you mentioned not using ahas, bhas etc.etc.etc. while using laser, ipl. Does this hold true to the kenzzi? What would you recommend as far as how to implement this in your skincare routine?
I have an IPL device from Philips and they say in their user manual that you are not supposed to use those products one week before. To be honest I used them because I just forgot and nothing happened but I can't guarantee it's safe.
Happy Mother’s Day to you’re momma Dr Dray! I have the Kenzi but it stopped working after one use. They are supposed to send me another and if it dies I’m getting my money back!
Something interesting I've seen on the Kenzzi. If you look at it in Google Shopping, there's 3-4 other VERY similar models. Like as if they are all ordered from the same manufacturer, and the only difference is the name slapped on. Seems sus. There are some identical models selling for $99... I hope you're mother is doing well! Thanks again for all you do :)
Thanks for this! Kenzzi didn’t work for me at all after 14 weeks of using it. I’m starting laser hair removal at my derm office next week and I’m nervous that when I have another baby, all the hair will grow back and be a waste of money. So now I’m doubting even trying it

Hmm definitely affordable. Has anyone used it? Thinking about getting it.
To the comment above, 1-2 session every week.
I have the IPL from skingenics and I say get it. Be consistent you'll see really good results.
How many sessions do I need a week?
Whats their link?
SAME. I also have PCOS and am constantly getting my skin torn up from shaving...
@@exposedtrueself15 Same here! Identical experience
@@exposedtrueself15 how often do you use it?
Did you get it?what are the results?
Just a suggestion, when making my smoothies instead of using ice, I use frozen fruits. I find that ice makes them less flavorful.
I have never understood why anyone would use Ice.
More water intake.
Yes!! I love freezing the fruit for smoothies. Comes out much creamier too. When i buy a lot of fruit or buy say a pineapple or papaya, i cut it up in cubes, put in serving sized containers & put in freezer. I leave it out for a few
Minutes to thaw just slightly before making the smoothie
@@emilye709 Pretty sure it’s for the sugar intake. It tastes much better with frozen fruit but you are also consuming a lot more sugar. Some of us limit sugar intake, even natural sugars from fruits, for various reasons.
Frozen fruit is a game changer and I never use milk and it tastes great!!!
It works! I’m 6 treatments in on my Kenzzi and my legs already barely need to be shaved the once a week it requires for the treatment. I love it! My arm pits and bikini line have slower hair growth, I see improvement but not the same I see on my legs yet. So far so good!
What level are you using? What’s your skin tone and hair color?
Yeah what level have you been using?^
Can I please get an update 🙏🏼

Thanks for reviewing this Dr Dray. I went with the SkinGenics IPL looks similar but very budget friendly and happy to say that I'm seeing excellent results ❤️
😂 how much do they pay you to post this? Are they hiring?
I got that IPL as well and im a dude it works very well. Gotta shave the area before you use.
I have the Kenzzi and it definitely works. HOWEVER, it overheats after one leg and I have to unplug and let it cool down before I can do the other leg. I contacted the company and they said they would not exchange the device and that I would have to mail it back overseas at MY expense. Very bad customer service.
Can I ask, is your hair on the slate as you do blonde or dark blonde? I’m looking for any kind of reduction really.
tammystiletto I would say dark blonde.
Heck yes. I'd love an at home electrolysis kit.
Kimberly KKV Electrolysis requires hairs to be _individually_ removed by inserting a device into the follicle. When working on that much of a micro scale, that’s something that should be left up to professionals 😂
The tria 4x laser!!!
I bought the Braun silk expert pro and so far im happy with it! Only have done 2 sessions out of 4 so far
I heard of this Kenzzi hair removal option today and IMMEDIATELY thought about needing Dr Dray’s opinion lol! Thanks so much for this video.
lol same
My skin is incredibly white, practically translucent and have very thick dark black hair.
It has thinned out my hair a lot and is a lot less noticable. Some spots are even bald for longer periods.
I love at home ipl! It's so much cheaper then going to a professional setting which isn't permanent.
U bought the kenzzi ipl?
YOU WILL BE CHARGED CUSTOM CHARGES EVEN THOUGH KENZZI DO NOT CHARGE FOR SHIPPING. I WAS INVOICED SEPARATELY BY FEDEX WHO CHARGED ME £45 FOR DELIVERY FROM CHINA TO THE UK. Please be aware of this before you decide to buy. You have to pay the customs charge.
Yes. This product is drop shipped from a factory in China. There are comparable items for half the price on Amazon.
I just love these daily vlogs. I clean my house and do laundry and face masks while listing to you. Even watered my outdoor plants. Thanks for the content. You’re such a sweet person.

@@DrDrayzday I am wondering... if I were to use a white pencil or a little bit of foundation over dark marks/spots would it make it safer?
Just came here to relieve myself after trying to watch an influencers skincare video. I feel like I can’t trust anyone anymore other than Dr Dray 😂
I’ve been using my Kenzzi for 4wks now and I’ve been loving it!! I’ve notice a drastic change.
Does the hair fall out after a few days of the treatment?
Also, I have skin type close to 2/3 on the scales and dark brown hair and found that the kenzzi was very effective and never experienced any burns!
Can you please share details? How long did you use it for and in which area?
Any update?
I swear, it's just a cheap whitelabeled aliexpress product. I've seen this exact device on aliexpress and the price mark-up is just enough to be suspicious
Agreed, i bought one by 'luke lady' its the same shape and structure. I bought it for 80 bucks
What about the Roseskin care IPL? Comparison?
Oh wooow good to know!!
Honestly, they are probably working with the same provider, whether it be kenzzi or roseskin or else
Yeah honestly that’s what a lot of companies do.
Are there any protective goggles you recommend to use with the Kenzie? I just got mine.

Hey dr. Dray! Can you explain the difference between a hair removal ipl device and anti age/ skin quality ipl?
Such a good review, I have been using the Kenzzi for months and love it, so much better than the waxing! 💗👙 Lisa
LisaLisaD1 so do you still have to wax or shave or does the hair stop growing ?
@@pearlcrystal7802 Yes, it is just MUCH less!! 💗
LisaLisaD1 ohhh ok thanks !
What is the authentic site to buy kenzzi ?does it come from Hong Kong ?
I’ve been hearing a lot about Gua Sha for lymphatic drainage.. basically it’s supposed to slim your face to give better looking bone structure. Have you heard of this technique?
she did talk about it in one of her videos and according to her it doesn't do any of those things.
I use it on mornings when my face is puffy e.g. water retention possibly from eating too much salt or drinking water irregularly. It does help to de-puff my face immediately.
@MiekoNeko I mean just because it's ancient doesn't mean it has any actual basis in science or is helpful.
What’s the difference between this IPL and the IPL that they use for facial treatments?
Good question
I ordered a Kenzzi after seeing the results Angie of Hot & Flashy experienced and I got it for my upper lip hair. I am 70 and no longer have hair on my legs and almost none in my underarm area. I’m really insecure about my facial hair and want it removed ASAP, but can’t afford to go to electrolysis appointments as frequently as they need you to and the idea of making a one time purchase for nearly permanent results is okay with me!
Can you please do a video on high frequency devices found on amazon for acne and hyperpigmentation and hair growth !!
Yes please?
Finally a review from a man! Women mostly have less body hair then men so I know if it will work on you then it will work on me
It is very reassuring to hear a dermatologist talk about it. Thank you for the video. Kenzzi should be sponsoring you. :)
Did it work for you?
@@SarasBites it did, it takes a few months but it definitely slowed the hair growth and left me with hairless patches. The key is to keep up with it. Xx

Please be aware of being charged high custom fees (21,40€ from China to Europe). On top of that I was quite disappointed of the device itself because it didn’t work properly from the beginning on and the fact that there’s no option to get a refund (or at least part of it) doesn’t speak for Kenzzi aswell.
The fact it's so much less powerful means you to it more often . So it works I just got mine

@@exposedtrueself15 this. My dermatologist said no to IPL for my melasma. Topical treatments only.
@@christinas4 yeah, IPL can backfire badly.
Medical IPL can easily treat dark Mark's.
@@JulieTiger maybe, my point is the same though. If he removed those hairs with IPL it would be very damaging. Trim is the safest option :)
Hi Dr. Dray
Do you plan on actually trying the Kenzi to share your personal results?
That's what I'm also wondering about.
Cat Smith What’s your skintone and hair color? In case that could’ve had an effect
I’m getting electrolysis currently on my underarms - well, I was before quarantine. Laser wasn’t effective for me so this is my preferred method.
Tria has worked WONDERS for me.
I wish Dr dray give us an informative video on that🙏
I store pans in my oven, too. 🤓End up using them anyway so it works out.
Can i use Kenzzi to remove dark spots and hyperpigmentation? I read that IPL can help reduce spots.
Hot and flashy says yes. I hope so
I bought one years ago. I think it was called Silk'n. I gave up because I'm impatient, but also, it was so bloody loud! Sounded like a hairdryer.
I have that one and stopped using it too. Still sitting in a drawer under my hair dryer. It was a pain in the ass. Literally.
Could you do a video on how to get rid of broken capillaries without laser treatments . And recommend an at home product
i have one
Type “dr dray broken capillaries” in the RUclips search bar to find a video on this topic. 👏
Hope this helps. x
very informative, can I use Kenzzi on my face? I use retinol twice a week so is this safe?
I have the kenzzi. I’m 4 treatments in and it’s working so far by slowing down the hair growth process on my legs and bikini area. I’ve seen no difference on my underarms. My guess is bc the hair is more coarse there. The only con is that the thing overheats and it stops working until it cools down. It’s annoying bc I have to wait an hour to start back up again. It’s very time consuming bc of it and can take me 3 hours to finish my treatments.
Have you used it to do a full Brazilian?
You look great here! Wearing your hair down really suits you
Great review ❤️ I bought the SkinGenics ipl instead because it way less on the pricing.
Happy Mother's Day to your lovely Mama!! I miss her in your videos and I hope she is doing well 💙🙏
Would tanning glasses be helpful in protecting the eyes? Would you also PLEEEEASE please please do a video on folliculitis???? I keep getting these bumps and some are red and some are flesh colored I’ve been to two dermatologists and they’ve diagnosed it as such, but they seem to be spreading and they can get inflamed sometimes too. Thanks 💕
Dr Dray is the BEST! She explains everything in such detail. 💕
Same 😫
I'm so sad
Electrolysis is WAAAAYYYYY better. I had a couple $50 sessions years ago and the areas still have no hair.
Dray!
Great video Dr Dray! Could you also do a video on electrolysis? I'm thinking about getting it done
Angie at hot and flashy has been receiving good results for hyperpigmentation as well with this device
Check out her before and afters!!
Regarding the Kenzzi, can you use it if you have varicose veins?
Ughhh I have very course white chin hairs 😩 are there ANY options for permanent hair removal for this type of hair on the face/chin?
Pam W I’m having the same problem!!
Electrolysis, also it is the only permanent hair removal technique.
@@meghnagill7272 I second that! Even after one treatment it made a huge difference
Can this also help reduce or remove spider veins? Is it the same type of pulse light? Is there anything at home you can use at home for spider veins?
No these IPL devices do not target spider veins, blood vessels etc just the melanin found in the hair.
happy Sunday everyone !
Happy Sunday!
Thank You Friend!! Happy Sunday!! Have a Great Evening!! Stay Safe and Healthy!! xox
I purchased but they had horrible customer service. It stopped working after a few months but instead of replacing or returning it the wanted by to mail to twaiwan at my expense. Would not recommend dealing with company that doesn’t do good customer service. I will look for device in us or Canada.
Same thing happened to me!
Wishing your Mom a Happy Mother's Day! Have a Blessed and Safe Day!
I was considering buying an at-home IPL device that someone recommended to me. Literally the first thing I do is Google "Dr Dray laser hair removal." I trust her a lot.
Too bad she didn’t review the actual
product.
@@AllyKit She gave me all the information I needed to decide to make a purchase. You can get product reviews anywhere. First day on the internet?
While this is an informative discussion on IPL, I have already had it done and didn’t need to know how it works. “You can get that information anywhere.” Yes I can get product reviews anywhere and I thought this was one and I’m not the only disappointed she didn’t review the actual product. No need to be a tool. 🙄
Apparently the red light inside of this is great for lightening dark spots or age spots on the body and face. @hotandflashy has a video on this gadget
Happy Mother’s Day to your Mom! Hope she’s having a good weekend. Prayers and warm, positive, healing thoughts. Thank you so much for your varied daily videos. Looked forward to them before the pandemic but now they are a mainstay in my day. Thanks. 😻💙💙
finally someone reviewing for free, thank you♥
Hey Dr. Dray!
Thanks again for all you do :)
name one models?
Yuup I bought the same thing on ebay for like 30 dollars, works just fine
@@meme-hs5sm have u seen results?
@@meme-hs5sm What brand is the one you bought?
Thanks for this! Kenzzi didn’t work for me at all after 14 weeks of using it. I’m starting laser hair removal at my derm office next week and I’m nervous that when I have another baby, all the hair will grow back and be a waste of money. So now I’m doubting even trying it
