  • Sex IS possible with pelvic organ prolapse and is actually beneficial! Many people with prolapse are ashamed or embarrassed about their prolapse and avoid sex.
    Sex also doesn't have to be with a partner ;-) but if it is, the penetration of a penis or finger or toy can benefit the pelvic floor.
    Sometimes prolapse can contribute to some discomfort so play around with different positions and be sure to do your pelvic floor exercise (you can even try it during sex) to keep your muscles strong and responsive!

    Having a rectocele and 2nd degree uterine prolapse, I found it best to start on my back or side and use my hands to push the bulge up and lead my partner in. The biggest issue for me was dryness due to the bulge. So once that hurdle is passed and there is “lubrication”, I feel comfortable. Even sometimes enough to be on top.

    It was super painful. It felt like someone was punching my bladder. It didn't manage crap.

      have you tried hypopressives? They are super effective for improving and sometimes even reversing prolapse...especially bladder prolapse. You can learn hypopressives in my app buffmuffapp.com

    Hi ! I’m 4 weeks pp and I was diagnosed with prolapse uterine and bladder , my OB did prescribe me birth control and all that at my visit, I assumed that was her saying I could resume sexual activity. I’m worried because I did have sex about 3 times but it was hard because I was dry a lot but I’m afraid I did more damage , she didn’t mention anything like my prolapse could get worse from sex , do you think I’m fine and it’s just sore muscles and that I was dry ? I just feel like my bulge got worse but it could be in my head. My dr also said it was a “small” prolapse

      You are still very much in the healing phase. BCP are typically recommended for birth control but it is not my first choice with regards to hormone health. Vaginal dryness is also common pp and I recommend vaginal estrogen which you can get from your doctor. I do recommend you book in with a pelvic floor PT for 6-8 weeks pp. It is important to start pelvic floor muscle training and I also recommend hypopressives. You can find all of that in my Buff Muff membership.

    Can uterine prolapse hinders pregnancy as I have been trying to conceive since last 3 years

    • @vaginacoach

      it can for some but not always. We do have evidence that pregnancy is possible with a uterine prolapse. I recommend working with a pelvic floor physical therapist.

    I’m not sure if I have a prolapse, but will be checked in a few weeks. Is it normal to feel a sensation of pressure in the vagina at 3 weeks postpartum, following a 2nd degree perineal tear (and repair with stitches)? Or would I only be feeling this with some kind of prolapse?

    • @vaginacoach
      @vaginacoach  Год назад +1

      It is very common to experience those sensations for several weeks. Prolapse is also very common. I recommend seeing a pelvic floor physical therapist at 6-8 weeks postpartum and starting hypopressives (at 6 weeks) and pelvic floor exercise now. Buffmuffapp.com
