What Does Pelvic Organ Prolapse Look Like?

  • Опубликовано: 27 янв 2022
  • Over 50% of women have some degree of organ prolapse and many don't even know it.
Prolapse occurs when the bladder, uterus and/or rectum shift out of their optimal anatomical position and bulge into or descend into the vagina.
Early stage prolapse can be asymptomatic. Common symptoms are low back pain, discomfort or pain with sex, difficulty emptying the bladder and bowels, constipation, feeling like something is 'in' the vagina, difficulty inserting a tampon or tampons getting pushed out, feelings of heaviness and like something is falling out.
👉🏿Work with a pelvic floor Physiotherapist. 👉🏿Do whole body pelvic floor exercise (check out my free app www.vaginacoach.com/buffmuffapp)
👉🏿Do hypopressives (also in my app)

I went to my Dr and told her I have a rectocelle. This was 3-4 years ago. She told me to do kegels! I saw a new Dr last week for my back. Mentioned this to her and she's referred me to a pelvic floor physio. I love newly qualified Dr's and nurses

I hope that this trend continues and that ALL doctors refer to pelvic floor physio. I also hope that all women know to go see a pelvic floor physio as the first line of defense for all things pelvic floor. Kegels can play a role ....especially when added into whole body movement. I also highly recommend Hypopressives. You can find both in my Buff Muff app www.vaginacoach.com/buffmuffapp You will also be part of a community of others who are working to prevent and overcome prolapse and incontinence and back pain and pelvic pain.

Why is it so hard to find real photos of prolapses? I’m 38 weeks pregnant and realizing now that I have bulges on the front and bag walls, but they’re not huge bulges and look more like clusters of tissue, not a ball of tissue. No matter what I Google, I can’t find real images

I'm 19 and it's a bit scary and since the last two days is when I've been more concerned because I feel a sudden sharp stabbing pain that isn't persistent on the left side of my vaginal wall (or so it seems, but I wouldn't know without getting it checked)

It’s the same case for me some people just naturally have a lower uterus so they’re more prone to developing a uterine prolapse. When you see a bulge slowly coming out and you feel a sort of pressure in your pelvic area that’s a telltale sign. How do you cope with it?

Hey I have a question because I’m self diagnosing, I’m not sure if this is what I have but I’ve had this red bump towards the bottom of my yk towards the anus, prolly the size of like a plastic bead or maybe smaller. It just completely red and it doesn’t hurt as much as it use to, it use to hurt by the touch but now it doesn’t hurt at all. But I’ve either had trouble using the bathroom or I use it too much. If you could help me that would be great.
