Pelvic organ prolapse is much more common than you might think! I’ve gotten a number of requests to make different sorts of videos surrounding prolapse-especially exercise-based videos for prolapse treatment-and I’ve been hesitant… because it’s been my experience that the proper treatment for prolapse really varies person to person. ✩ Related Videos: → Can I have sex with prolapse & best sex positions for prolapse: ruclips.net/video/nd9LyJE3_yE/видео.html → Quick, easy 5 minute technique to relieve prolapse symptoms: ruclips.net/video/cUi_7VqUM3Y/видео.html → Can I have anal sex with a prolapse? ruclips.net/video/Mjhj_BuMSSs/видео.html → All about the pelvic floor: ruclips.net/video/soqCD1s-ZDg/видео.html → An ode to my healing body: ruclips.net/video/A2gJci6KzRo/видео.html 😸 Check meowt on instagram: instagram.com/pelvicempowerment/ 🤸 Find a pelvic provider near you: pelvicrehab.com/ So, I wanted to make a more comprehensive video in hopes of helping women and people with vaginas gain a better understanding of their bodies, what’s happening during prolapse, and what options they have for healing 🧡
I cannot thank you enough for this video and your wonderful visual-descriptions . I have been getting referrals to a pelvic floor therapist in my area for years but I thought it would just be a waste of time because I thought they were just tell me to do a bunch of Kegel‘s. I am so very glad that I watched this video and I will pursue getting help with my diagnosed cystocele - thank you !
Best video I have ever seen. I have been told I need surgery for 5 Years but still on fence. I was a Grade 3 but believe I am now Grade 4 with a rectal prolapse also. Every time I give in and seek sugery, "life" gets in the way (my Mom's death, husband prostate cancer, grandson murdered). I can no longer focus on me but become the matriarch of the family. I am 72 and think women need to be more open and seek care. Young lady, you are educated, articulate and speak with kindness in your voice. I applaud you and will share this video. Thank you so much.
Your teaching techniques that tackle topics from simple to complex, with pictures and clear explanations, are stunning. As a nursing instructor for over 20 years, I recognize when a person addresses a topic with utmost efficiency and you've done an absolutely bang-up job of reaching your audience. Not only that, but you do this with warmth and compassion for your "students" (that's us viewers!) so there is no question of your sincerity and passion for what you do. You're a godsend, really. Can't thank you enough for what you're accomplishing by educating and empathizing with those that need to hear what you have to say. ❤
I agree. Prolapse can be terrifying and isolating because nobody talks about it. It is stunning to learn how many people actually get this problem in their lifetimes, and you hear nothing about it except that old ladies can't hold their pee. One of my friends was told that the uterus can fall out onto the ground! A lot of cases and distressing outcomes could be prevented if people could only be informed by the doctors they see, and optimally before they need to see one.
Thank u so much for yur information.. I’d like to re-play it. And I want to get a phy therapist specifically to help me. Christine , And MerrynChristmas n Happy new year..
This video is here for 2 yrs and I just discovered it, which is a shame because I finally understand through your really clear and kind teaching a part of my female body I knew nothing about. And I am 68 yrs now. Over the decades I have been told many times, by family physicians, male and female, always in the same way: "You have a prolapsed uterus." They say it briefly, like it's this curiosity about me, this defect, that I should know about. That's it! There's nothing to be done anyway, so it's not of further interest. WTF! Thanks for caring enough to build on a woman's right to know her own body and make decisions about it.
This is the best information on the subject. I am 85, had five pregnancies and have been dealing with prolapse for the past 20 years, I do not consider surgery but will investigate my options based on what I learned here. Thank you.
This is by far the best educational video I've seen regarding pelvic prolapse! I'm so angry at the medical field and myself for not better educating myself before opting to have my uterus removed. Worst decision I've ever made, and I'm 63.
I also had a hysterectomy, at 43, and the surgeon didn't explain any of this to me. Of course I developed vaginal vault collapse, and the doctor blamed it on me for being overweight. Well I was overweight before the surgery, and I asked specifically how he was going to prevent gravity from causing a prolapse, so if he had a word about my weight he should have shared it then, but he didn't. 😞
@@jessicaheger1880 Well, my hysterectomy caught up with me a few years ago when I was told I have a slight rectal prolapse. It might be slight but the symptoms are real and bothersome. However, it was not at all recreational to have the hysterectomy, as it was life saving. It was not optional.
I totally agree! This makes a lot of sense. If I know then what I know now, I would never have had a full hysterectomy four years ago. During the operation, the doctor cut through my bladder and realized to late that because of my c-sections, my bladder and uterus had grown together. After that, leakage and urgency problems with my bladder started. All they tell me now is that it is because of my hormones.
Excellent video, thank you! I am in my 60's, two emergency deliveries with both children delivered by forceps. After my prolapse at the start of this year my GP sent me immediately to a lovely young Gynaecologist. In her surgery practice she actually has a pelvic physiotherapist who is kind, caring. They work together and I now realise just how important that is! I was a perfect candidate for a hysterectomy but we decided (after many tests) that I would try the ring pessary before trying surgery. As they both said try the pessary and if it doesn't work then have surgery. Here in Australia the pelvic physiotherapist inserts the pessary, she then gave me instructions for certain pelvic exercises. So far so good.
At 75 years I wrote my book Vaginal Prolapse Colpoclesis Surgery A Personal Story. Prolapse is terrifying and very painful. Not one doctor every warned me or any women I know that this was a possibility. WHY???? I want to inform women and give them hope.
You are such a gifted teacher! The subject matter isn't pertinent to me but I watched the whole video bc you are so sincere, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I hope I have someone like you to guide me if I ever struggle with these or any other conditions which would benefit from PT. You have the loveliest, clearest way of communicating. The health care community and your patients are lucky to have you!
Thank you!!! I’m 43 still breastfeeding and noticed prolapse bulge in my vagina. Was freaking out. Watched many RUclips videos but NONE has explained it like this. Or even mentioned breastfeeding and the relaxing of muscles. Thank you. You’ve given me hope of restoration!
I'm in my 70s, live in the UK and have previously consulted a Pelvic Physiotherapist, who suggested hypopressives. There has been no real improvement to my problem, which is emptying my bladder fully. I've just come across your video and it's brilliant. It explains everything about my condition, so well. The best I've ever seen. Thank you very much and I will definitely be looking at your other videos. x
Never thought I’d find myself here..at 35.. just after 1 child. But I can tell you are passionate about your job. Your presentation was phenomenal and you were so graceful at presenting this issue!!! You are a blessing. Thank you so much for this video. Looking forward to checking out the others!
@@sheidaasnaf6920 hi! I am so so sorry ugh….So I’m coming up on 14mo PP & I must say I am now in a much better place mentally and probably symptom-wise too but def still symptomatic.. unfortunately. . How are you?
@@azerlynno how far PP are you? I’m at least still a stage 2 at 17mo PP😣.. I think my prolapse could have been avoided smh which makes all this even worse.
I needed this video! At 68 I’ve already experienced a hysterectomy. Experiencing new symptoms & you’ve been so clear in explaining the process & options.
Thankyou so much for this very useful information about prolapse. I live in England and have never had a health professional explain the female anatomy problem so clearly. I wish you were my Gp. Your patients are so lucky to have you.
THE best information i have received about prolpase. I had surgery a few years ago (my doctor never even mentioned pessaries as an option) and now the surgery has "worn off". I have an appt. with a new doctor in December and thanks to this video I am now much better informed about my options!
I highly recommend pelvic floor physical therapy! I had surgery, after much deliberation, and due to ongoing pain afterwards, was referred to my wonderful pelvic floor therapist. It was life changing. Six years later, ( at 62) I’m doing well! This was such a good video-wish I had all this info six years ago! I agree with everything you said! Thank you!
Thank you for making such a clear and concise video about pelvic floor organ prolapse. I’m a retired nurse of 46 yrs and appreciate everything about your explanation and content. Now I know I have grade 4 bladder prolapse and what it looks like from the inside. Already know what it looks like from the outside😂 ( A little humor never hurts) I’m currently 76 yrs old with this and at 46 yrs old I had a uerine prolapse and total hysterectomy and rectal sphincter repair. I wondered what I was looking at, now I know. I have never seen a urologist about it. There are days I’m ready to seek surgery and others not so much. Once again great educational video. Thank You!
Thank you so much for such GREAT information about prolapse issues and concerns. Your diagrams made it very easy to understand the body functions. Absolutely excellent presentation. Thank you for not rushing with delivering the facts surrounding this issue so many women suffer with. Please continue to educate in your direct fashion. You are appreciated.
Your videos are so timely. I did go to a pelvic specialist because of severe leakage. I was not examined by her, although her intention was to do so. She did give me strengthening exercises but it didn't help. My last day of my individual class, 6 visits, I was not well. That day I was hospitalized for an emergency pacemaker. I found you today. In the meantime I saw a urologist a few months ago. He prescribed pills to control the bladder. The pharmacist stopped it. Im 86 in a few days. He prescribed serious antibiotics that made me very ill. He was putting in an order for botox injections, for which the procedure date had not been scheduled yet. But for some magical reason, the pouring urine has almost stopped for a week. I do feel like I have a sore bladder though. I have terrible backpain but I also have 8 collapsed discs. I notified the urologist the terrible pouring of urine has stopped. He hasn't responded yet. I do think he should examine me. Maybe I can be sent back to the women's health clinic and be examined by the physical therapist there. My insurance covers it. I've shared your video several times tonight. I'm so grateful. Your knowledge and delivery is wonderful. Thank you. Also I get steroid injections in my lumbar and sacroiliac. Perhaps that interferes with the bladder? My 4 children weighed, 9#14 oz; 8# 6oz; 9# 8oz and 8#2oz.
Hi Tori, I hope I have your name right. I just wanted to apologize to you for a comment I made. I normally don’t say anything negative about or to anyone. I said that this is a very important and informative videos. It is the best and most thorough video I’ve ever watched about women’s health care. I did say that something was distracting in the video. I apologize completely. I am just from an older generation and I still have some adjusting to do. I had to come back and apologize. You are truly awesome and a beautiful young woman. I wish more Doctors would take the time to explain women’s health. You are truly a blessing and I hope you can forgive me.
Hi - 60 years old here. Without having read your earlier comment, I know exactly what you mean and It's bothing me so much that I cannot watch, I can only listen. Her video is very helpful and she is kind, I just can't look at it. I used to help my uncle with his hogs.
Excellent video and you are absolutely right about a pessary being super-helpful. I had a grade 3 prolapse and was told I needed a hysterectomy. Second opinion from another consultant who prescribed a ring pessary. I wore it for a while full time, gradually reducing use and now, years later, I hardly ever use it. It’s been life-changing for me!
Had my first prolapse (uterine) after having twins. Had the uterus removed at age 27. Currently, I am 74 years old and now have a rectocele for about five years. THIS VIDEO IS AWESOME. Wish this information had been available years ago! THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRESENTATION! I will be sharing the link with my family doc who always looks for ways to educate her patients.
I was recently diagnosed with the rector seal also and was wondering, does that give you problems with being able to eliminate like having a complete bowel movement? I’m also the voice texting, and that word does not get spelled correctly. Any information that you have regarding this would be very helpful to me at this time. Thank you.
I just saw my OBGYN and was diagnosed with prolapse of the bladder. I love your video!! I was leaning towards surgery but your video has changed my mind and am going to look at the physical therapy. ❤
You are amazing. I can't thank you enough. I've been experiencing trouble getting a full BM and it dawned on me that it could be the prolapse, this video and information has eased my concern and encourages me to seek help and get relief, hopefully without surgery☺️
Aww, my heart 🧡 I'm so glad this video was helpful for you, and I'm ecstatic to hear that you feel encouraged to seek help and get relief! You deserve it!
If I may, this Hass to be one of the best informative videos that I’ve ever seen on prolapse. You made it easy to understand and I appreciate it if there is anyone out there that can respond to this I would really appreciate it. 11 years ago I had a bladder sling installed, a rectocyle and a cystocyle repair, And prior to that I did have a partial hysterectomy so I no longer have my uterus. Within the last couple months I have had bloating beyond belief, frequent urination, and now within the last few days horrible pressure in the vaginal area. I went and had a CT scan, vaginal ultrasound, regular ultrasound, and bloodwork. They found that I had an umbilical hernia. And everything else looked OK so then I went back to the same OB/GYN that did the first surgeries and he did try to put a pessary in my vagina for two hours I lasted and then came back and begged him to take it out it was not helping me at all and with my high anxiety and being as sensitive as I am it was just too much for me and then I could not poop once I had that in. And then he also told me that I have a bulge that has developed from the Sister seal so obviously he said I’m starting to prolapse again. And oddly enough this happened after I had a stupid idea and decided to do a run walk program for one day and I never run and the next day the pressure was unbearable and I was in the ER the entire day. So then he tells me why don’t you go to a general surgeon for your hernia and see what he says and if he bounces you back to me then I will repair the bulge and the hernia all at the same time. So now I made an appointment for a second opinion because of his arrogance and also him not being empathic towards me whatsoever as I laid there and cried from the pressure I am now seeing a very well-known Female OB/GYN that specializes in pelvic floor issues and menopause because I’m also post menopausal I’m on bio identical hormone patch and progesterone 14 days out of the month. I really don’t want to run in and start doing surgery because that last surgery 10 years ago was absolute hell and the recovery was unbelievably hard. So if any of you or the maker of this video has any good advice for me I would really appreciate it thank you
So sorry for your troubles. There are a lot of support groups on Facebook that you might consider joining. I just recently joined 2 of them and it's been emtionally and physically beneficial.
I did physical therapy, which did improve bladder control, but after 10 years of putting up with ongoing having stress incontinence i had a mesh tape sling put in, that was over 20 years ago and no problems. I felt like it really changed my life. Find a doctor who you trust is very important.
you are a GOD send!! You're the most incredible Dr. So mindfully, educated, articulate, caring, aware & loving woman doctor I have ever listened to in my lifetime! I am 71yrs young. Had a hysterectomy at age 24. Lived in pain the last 3 yrs b4 my surgery. I Experienced extremely painful intercourse, lost my firstborne w/prematured birth @ 6&1/2 months he weighed 3 lbs. My next birth experienced a placenta previa @ 7 months, they stopped my conractions after 12 hrs, remained in hospital in a horizontal position for 2 months b4 being blessed w/a healthy beautiful baby girl. After a yr of bladder challenges was sent to a urologist & he stretched my urethra on & off for a yr, due to not being able to urinate. Had my son shortly after (to be put on hormones althroughout pregnancy), & went full term. Was in so much pain after intercourse. It affected my marriage, husband accusing me of being fridged, hypochondriac etc. Went to 3 different doctors who treated me like It was all in my head. Found a doctor who saw me in tears & exshaused to be told @ 24 I should have a d&c laparoscopy & then he found that I had the uterus of a 70 yr old lady. I opted for removal as opposed to reconstructive, bcuz my grandmother had died of uterine cancer. I wish that I would have had a Dr like you back then! I feel my mother lacked proper nutrition growing up during the war in Germany & that affected me during my gestation what do you think? I have a lot of challenges with all the negative you mentioned in this fantastic & informative video. The medical & medicare here in Hawaii lacks true educated care. I have given up & have a none existence in having a healthy relationship & haven't been with a man in 10 years😢. Makes me so sad, lonely & discouraged. I no longer trust doctors with the way the world is. We need Drs in the world like you!! May GOD continually bless you the way he has, you my dear are the gift!! Thank you for who you are! ❤
This is absolutely the best video that I have seen on pelvic floor prolapse!! Thank You So Much for providing it!! I love the visuals, just what I needed! You answered so many of my questions! I was a nurse for 20yrs, and I was having a very difficult time trying to figure out which type of prolapse I currently have. I had three very difficult vaginal births with episiotomies over 35years ago and a total radical hysterectomy secondary to cancer 15years ago, and believe that I have more than one type of prolapse. This video really helped me understand how more than one or two prolapses occur at the same time. I have an appointment soon with a urologist/gynecologist and feel so much more prepared. Thank You again!
Have you ever had a dry tampon stuck in the wrong position? That describes about 1% of the pain and discomfort this horrible condition feels like. Let’s not forget about the constant UTIs they cause. It’s a living nightmare 😢
Truly a great video, I learned a lot from it . Turning 82 in a couple of weeks and just started with the problem. You have been a great help with the explanation and examples. Thank you
Thank you so much!!! your examples were easy and it definitely helped make sense of what’s going on inside our body. I have a PT due to constipation post pelvic repair Dec 8 2023 … and i saw her yesterday Nov 14 i like her and i’m comfortable with her. i started doing kegels a lot and now i’m at stage 4 bladder prolapse again 😢i’ll have to call dr and go to ER Monday. i’m calmer now after watching your video. 10 ⭐️
This is so helpful! I was diagnosed with prolapse of all my lower abdominal organs after my second child was born. I also had a raging case of endometriosis and adenomyosis. When it came time to consider a hysterectomy my GYN suggested a procedure that allowed him to not only remove my uterus and cervix (also one ovary that had been obliterated from the endo) but also fix all of the prolapse. I was 38 at the time, so this was 1994. I never fully understood it, but they cut my vagina in half, removed the uterus and then suspended my other organs. I can tell you it was brutal! It took me over a year to recover. Now, at age 69, I find it very hard to empty my bladder fully, and usually leak when I stand up. I have to lean back to empty my bowel and suffer constipation most of the time. And, I am now suffering severe lower back pain when I am active (like doing laundry, vacuuming, weeding, etc.). I've had a medial branch block on my back which did not help me at all. Then a steroid epidural injection which did not provide relief. I've had sciatica at another time in my life, about 10 yrs ago, which was severe enough to leave me with a foot drop that lasted about a year. Now this pain is down my leg again and I'm starting to wonder if it could be related to lax pelvic ligaments instead of my spine. Thoughts? I go see the back doctor again this Tuesday.
@@Brancaalice When you're in agony, hemorrhaging every month and have a baby and a toddler ( and a husband who travels with his work so is hardly ever home), you sort of do whatever you think will rid you of the pain.
Over the past couple of years I have watched a lot of videos on this subject. This is the most informative, insightful and understandable one I have seen so far. Nowhere, whether in video or written form, have I found so much pertinent information in one place. Thank you! I saw a doctor of PT pelvic floor specialist. She gave me the exercises and empowerment to drastically improve my situation. Before this, I thought that life as I knew it was over.
Thank you for explaining the condition. The anatomy and analogies were helpful in better understanding the different types of prolapses. I didn’t see the link for finding a pelvic floor therapist across the US. Would like to find one so maybe i overlooked and will go back and check. You’ve been a tremendous help in understanding what’s going on physiologically and how best to treat moving forward.
Wonderful presentation. Clear and concise information and visuals. I thank you for the time you put into preparing and sharing this excellent video! I have invested hours trying to understand the problem of prolapse and you just made it easy to understand. THANK YOU!
I agree with the other comments, that this is the best educational video on pelvic prolapse and you’re a phenomenal educator. I wish I had found you sooner. I hope you continue to educate and share information with us. It’s very much appreciated!! Thank you! 😀
This is so helpful to visualize the organs and understand the terms of thy pelvic floor. I am a childbirth educator and would love to have a video to refer my class members to, regarding appropriate kegels for childbirth prep and postpartum.
Thank you so much for this fantastic, informative, enlightening, extremely helpful video. Have read several books on PElvic organ prolapse (POP), gone to websites, videos, etc. Had POP PT and use a pessary for many years….this video really explained kegals and why they don’t work for my gr. 3 issue….and so much more helpful and so professional info you shared! Will be checking out your other videos! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
I don’t even know where to start. First off, I have a suspected (by me) diagnosis and am waiting unfortunately for my upcoming ob appt. Your video was so unbelievably educating! Your voice and demeanor is so soothing. You are so knowledgable and you’ve made all of this info so digestible. I was almost brought to tears honestly. I’m scared and worried. I want to have another baby. It’s all a bit jarring. But you’ve alleviated a lot of that and I look forward to rectifying whatever it is I have going on. Thank you for this!
This video was phenomenal. I am an educator of complex topics and I am inspired by how clearly and succinctly you shared your expertise! I am inspired to advocate for myself with my medical provider from a much more informed space. Bravo!
Great video! I love how you explained it all in a way that a non-medical person could understand. Before watching this video I watched another one that had so many medical terms that I got lost.
I can’t believe you mentioned mesh as a possible answer to this problem. We have a huge number of women who are now taking class action over this. We are talking thousands of women whose lives have been upended by this procedure. It’s now before the courts.
Such a great video. I have a prolapse which I didn't address for years through ignorance. I'm considering surgery which I was offered about ten years ago but went down the physio route instead. It's worked to a great extent but age, six months of chemo and a lot of physical building and house maintenance has taken it's toll.... Looking into a pessary and holding out to the last possible minute!! Thank you for this video. It should be part of health education in schools 👍
Excellent. Just excellent. I've been living with, and reading about, prolapses (--celes) for two years, and I still learned things that I can use in a practical manner every day. Thanks.
I developed a prolapse after my second child aged 33. I was and still am an extremely fit, slim and non smoking runner, but Years and years of running myself to death didn’t help, but I had the operation two years ago and haven’t looked back since. Best thing I ever did.
@@glam1007 I have forgotten what the medical name for it is, but the Gynaecologist attached my bladder to a ligament somewhere around my back body. It was painful afterwards, but worth it as I soon recovered. No mesh was involved as that is no longer done at the trust I had my op carried out with. I have heard too many horror stories about that mesh.
Excellent presentation! Cleared up some questions I had. You have such a wonderful spirit, your knowledge and compassion shine thru out. Thx for the informative video. 🌸
Thanks for this video, Tori. It's the best one I've seen. I just found out I have a 3rd degree rectocele. (And I'm getting a second opinion because I'm pretty sure I have a cystocele too.) I'm going through a grieving process as I feel like the life I wanted is over, and I'm also experiencing a lot of anger. How was I never educated on this? I've had 4 kids and I know with my first one, which was a forcep delivery, is when symptoms started. I've lived with the chronic pain for 12 years. No OB ever mentioned pelvic floor issues or prolapse to me once. Feeling angry. And stupid that I didn't know. I could've helped it and strengthened my pelvic floor all those years ago. So what I'm gathering from my research is that mine is so severe I need a pessary or surgery. I just don't like either of those options but I guess I have no choice. Really feeling like my life is over. :( The soonest I can get into a pelvic floor therapist is March. But it sounds like that won't really help a 3rd degree rectocele. Have any of your clients have any type of reversal with a stage 3?
Hi Jill, while I'm so glad that this video was helpful for you, I'm so sorry to learn about your recent diagnosis and how long it took for you to get properly diagnosed. Your grief and anger are both so incredibly valid, I feel anger for you knowing that your first delivery was a forceps delivery and that's when your symptoms began. However, while I think I can understand feeling stupid, too (our experiences are different, but I injured my pelvis and have been recovering for the last almost two years, and I felt a lot of stupidity knowing what I know and still getting hurt the way that I did), I hope that you can see that this isn't your fault. You were looking towards medical providers to help you with medicine, that's exactly what someone *should* do, and you were balancing motherhood and raising 4 children! That's a lot to ask of someone on top of independently managing her medical care when her providers told her otherwise. The the silver lining of prolapses is that they aren't emergencies, so you have the gift of time when it comes to surgical intervention. Bodies are really incredible, so much more so than we give them credit to be, and you never know just how well your body might respond to conservative techniques until you try them! I have had some success with more mild stage 3 prolapses, usually with a combination of pelvic floor retraining and pessary use. And know that I meant what I said in this video, the grading can be affected by a number of things, like activity/time of day/gravity/position/etc., so it may have been a stage 3 during that time of diagnosis, but could improve in severity pending on what you're up to! As I mentioned, I really feel that while our experiences are different, some of our mental/emotional experiences may overlap. I hear what you're saying when you talk about grief/the feeling of death/mourning, I felt all of those things, too. I understand the feelings of hopelessness/anger/feeling like your life is over. I'm so glad that you're seeking a pelvic PT, but I'm so sorry that you have to wait until March. Consider calling the office to check for cancellations, especially Monday mornings! You might be surprised how much sooner you can get in if you call - it can be a real case of "the squeaky wheel gets the oil" and, until then, don't give up on your body's ability to heal. You are not alone in your experiences. Bodies are truly amazing, and yours is no exception 🧡 PS, if you're at all interested in learning more about some of our potentially paralleled mental/emotional experiences, I have a view videos that detail what I experienced. This is an ode I wrote to my body when I was in the real thick of my healing, maybe ~6 months in or so: ruclips.net/video/A2gJci6KzRo/видео.html - it might be a good place to start/find more related content!
hi there. how are you? were you able to fix it? my story is like yours. it has been ten years never mentioned but after my baby one my body was never the same. i hope you are well.
I too had forceps delivery just 3mo ago with my first baby. I suspected prolapse a few weeks after birth.. & sure enough at 6wk check up I told my OB & even though he was very nonchalant he did say it was my bladder. . Now a month down the road, I’m suspecting possibly more.. ugh. My baby is growing fast and I have to care for her and the home so it’s possible more organs have followed the decent smh. I’m trying really hard to not just be completely discouraged. Trying to get a referral to PFPT. Hoping my insurance covers it. Im 35.. I’ve always been very active.. we want more kids. !!
My Dr said to me pessary is not helpfull for rectocele..i have a small rectocele but dnt know why I can't pass motion fully...i have to use fingure and jet spray water to get it out pls help me I can't live normal life
Excellent video with such a great explanation. I did go to a pelvic floor physiotherapist whose only advice was for me to do kegels. I think the problem is that all my appointments were at 8 am so she didn’t see how bad it was by the end of the day. The kegels alone have definitely not helped. Thank you for helping me understand why.
I’m 28 with 1 child(and wanting more) with a grade 2 cystocele. I feel really depressed and hopeless about it but I’m trying to do my exercises and relaxation techniques. Your video gives me hope
Thank you for the visuals! I have a hard time visualizing a description. Even directions or something basic, I find I have a hard time even picturing what that would look like. Even though I’ve been going to pelvic floor pt for several months, I understand this a whole lot better now!
Best ever...I have no uterus and feel I have rectum prolapse Your description of using a finger is me!!! Also experiencing severe incontinence. As soon as I stand, or move, urine comes out and I cannot stop it. Emptying is difficult and I sometimes have diarrhea too. My bowel movements are firmer since i switched to lactade milk. Im 73 years old. I had severe endometriosis when my uterus was removed (20+ years ago)and was told the surgeon had to leave my cervix because it was fused to my bladder and intestines with scar tissue. I'd love to hear from you. I need some serious pelvic help!!
Thank you so much for explaining so well. Definitely have a better understanding, my PT I have been seeing for almost 6 months never explained to this indepth. Stay Blessed
Excellent review. I’ve had all of this... and ended with surgery by one doc and had to have redone by another, and complications and had another lesser surgery but still time not working. It was a difficult time. 😕
Thank you VERY much for this informative, easy to understand, well paced video. The graphics are great. I learned so much. I appreciate your concern and your time.
Super informative! Loved the visuals and your thorough explanations. I will pass it on! Thank you for what you do! It truly has made a difference for me understanding what I am going through without shame. Much appreciated!
Thank you so much Tori for this fantastic video. I needed this kind of information so much in order to have a better understanding and especially helping me make a choice what I want for me. You're great.
I found your video very good and very importantly reduces the fears that go with pelvic organ prolapse .. probably one of the best video on utube on this subject … good information gives me back more control .. so I would really be interested in watching your video on the technique you mentioned that eases the pressure built up in the vagina after a walk or at the end of the day when you have proplapse .. thank you for your advise and information it’s just what I need to hear right now…
Pelvic organ prolapse is much more common than you might think! I’ve gotten a number of requests to make different sorts of videos surrounding prolapse-especially exercise-based videos for prolapse treatment-and I’ve been hesitant… because it’s been my experience that the proper treatment for prolapse really varies person to person.

Can I go running with a grade one prolapse
I fear the answer is probably no .
Totally agree
Best video I have ever seen. I have been told I need surgery for 5 Years but still on fence. I was a Grade 3 but believe I am now Grade 4 with a rectal prolapse also. Every time I give in and seek sugery, "life" gets in the way (my Mom's death, husband prostate cancer, grandson murdered). I can no longer focus on me but become the matriarch of the family. I am 72 and think women need to be more open and seek care. Young lady, you are educated, articulate and speak with kindness in your voice. I applaud you and will share this video. Thank you so much.
I hope you can make the time to care for yourself one day. You deserve it.❤
Your teaching techniques that tackle topics from simple to complex, with pictures and clear explanations, are stunning.
And
I want to get a phy therapist specifically to help me. Christine ,
And MerrynChristmas n Happy new year..
Thank you, from a 71 year old husband. I NEED to learn THIS!
Agreed. It is very educational in a simple to understand manner
I agree I am 61 problems and problems
I totally agree! This makes a lot of sense. If I know then what I know now, I would never have had a full hysterectomy four years ago. During the operation, the doctor cut through my bladder and realized to late that because of my c-sections, my bladder and uterus had grown together. After that, leakage and urgency problems with my bladder started. All they tell me now is that it is because of my hormones.
This video was not only helpfull in explaining facts about prolaps. It also was a kind of soothing; i’m not alone. Thank you.
THIS.WAS.SO.SO.SO.GOOD!!! I am absolutely a visual person and this was EXTREMELY helpful! Thank you so much!! You’re an excellent teacher!! ❤🙌🏾👏🏾

Thank You!
Believe God 🙏 for my healing and restoration of My Uterus in my early70 ties.I stand on the word of God and agreed with my pastor son Mathew 18: 19🙏😇
The best teacher, using basic language and simplified diagrams
I was prescribed pelvic PT ,but there's a long waiting period for sessions. Your explanation of the different types of prolapse was very educational.
This is absolutely the BEST VIDEO on the subject that I have EVER seen!!!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

So why do you feel the need to mention it? You're entitled to your opinion, but it's not necessary to share it.
It’s been life-changing for me!
please write why you don’t use a urinal, thanks to it there is no more prolapse? Is the operation no longer necessary? thanks for the answer!
Thank you.
Yes, elimination can be a problem. Manually expressing the feces by two fingers inserted in the vagina helps. @@susannefiore4338

I just recently joined 2 of them and it's been emtionally and physically beneficial.

you are a GOD send!!
I was diagnosed today with stage 3+ v prolapse. This video gave me a better understanding of the diagnosis, thank you. You are a very good teacher.

To let dr. decide what to do with our body is wrong decision, the body is your body, they sometimes do not make the right one.

I can’t believe you mentioned mesh as a possible answer to this problem. We have a huge number of women who are now taking class action over this. We are talking thousands of women whose lives have been upended by this procedure. It’s now before the courts.
I believe that is related to hernial surgeries
The FDA has banned the use of mesh with vaginal surgery but it is allowed in open abdominal surgery

Bodies are truly amazing, and yours is no exception 🧡
PS, if you're at all interested in learning more about some of our potentially paralleled mental/emotional experiences, I have a view videos that detail what I experienced.
@@k.pep.1253 i went to four different docs since then no one ever mentioned my prolapses, it is so sad.
Best video I have seen on the subject. Thank you so much for teaching so clearly and understandably.
Excellent information & very detailed. I wish my gyn Dr was that descriptive. I learned a lot from your video & I am in my 70's.
Best ever...I have no uterus and feel I have rectum prolapse
Your description of using a finger is me!!!
What a great education . Thank you dear lady enjoying the purpose of your life, making a change to someone else
Thank you so much for explaining so well. Definitely have a better understanding, my PT I have been seeing for almost 6 months never explained to this indepth. Stay Blessed
One of the best videos on this subject and I’ve seen many
Great job! Very knowledgeable. Great teaching skills.
Appreciate your time and efforts. Looking forward to hearing & watching more❤
Excellent review.
Thanks!
Brilliant video
Easy to understand and i have watched a lot of pelvic floor videos!!!.
Thank you so much
I found your video very good and very importantly reduces the fears that go with pelvic organ prolapse .. probably one of the best video on utube on this subject … good information gives me back more control .. so I would really be interested in watching your video on the technique you mentioned that eases the pressure built up in the vagina after a walk or at the end of the day when you have proplapse .. thank you for your advise and information it’s just what I need to hear right now…
Thank you! This video was so informational and gave me a better understanding of my options for healing from a uterine prolapse.
So much more informative and clear than a visit to the doctor was for me.
Thank you!
Thank you so much for explaining this issue so throughly.
I’m in the process of trying to find a solution and competent physiotherapist.
Those drawings helped a lot! I've been googling a lot and looked at a lot of diagrams, but your simple ones helped the most.
Wow, best and most helpful video I've seen. You are such a good teacher and coach!
I can’t believe I found all the answers in this video where other RUclips videos failed. Thank you so much.
So glad you did this video. So much info I needed I never got from my Doctor. Great job
