I’m stage 2 but gyn scheduled me for surgery. I can touch my bladder and I have to splint to poop. I also have to have another to tighten vagina and possible take part of cervix they left at hysterectomy and then lap to see if I have endometriosis again , uterus was removed 2017 and they see it on ct scan dr thinks it’s endo

Years ago a gyn surgeon warned against mesh surgery. ( I have grade 3 cystocele.) I tried several pessaries that weren't very effective. Finally sent to specialist who prescibed a ring pessary with a knob. Thank goodness, it works well. Fairly easy to remove (with removal tool), clean and reinsert. I am pain-free and can go about my daily life with no prolapse.
This has made life much easier.
    (I am 77.)

I just want to say thank you for putting yourself out there and sharing your story. I came across your video when doing research. My surgery was scheduled with my longtime GYN. I too loved with mine prolapse for 8 years and had the very same issues as you minus the endometriosis’. I asked for a referral to a UROGyno. I’m so happy I did. He gave me lots more information and I felt so much better about having the surgery. I had the UROGyno do my surgery and I have 12 days post surgery. I can poop and pee so much better! TMI , I know, but sooo life changing for me. Thank you again

How are you doing now? I’m thinking of getting the surgery. I just want to know like all of the pros and cons of getting the surgery specifically from someone that has actually experienced it. Does it make the vagina area feel tighter like back to normal before all of this happened?? Does it take away the heaviness feeling? Does you vagina look different or back to normal? Do you see the bulge or did it mess your vagina up by them tampering with it?
Sorry I just feel like nobody talks about that stuff and I NEED to know ALL the info! Lol. Tmi but hope you get it since you have experienced the same thing.
I’m 28 and had the vacuum assist birth and very very quick birth. Had a tear. They didn’t even allow me to try to push the baby out. They basically just ripped her out to be honest. Like my body was forced into labor bc they wanted to do a balloon. Insisted that I did it actually. Anyway, I feel all of that is why I have the prolapse now. Just want details on what it looks, feels like afterwards- and of course if you would do it all over again?
      Thanks!

I do. I have to choose the right combo of foods everyday to ensure my body eliminates properly so that I don’t have all that pressure. Also, I am a fan of probiotics and exercise to help with easier digestion too. I've lived with cystocele and rectocele since a traumatic birth 4 years ago. The consultant confirmed my worst fears that I have a uterine prolapse too. I've tried everything to manage things conservatively so far but consultant suggesting surgery now. I'm terrified at the prospect so watching your video tonight was very timely for me. It seems the minute I go anywhere above 143 I start to feel heaviness and seem sad, my cervix has prolapsed as well. Sometimes I can feel it with my hand when I wash I am terrified. I also feel most pressure right before my period I am 52 and in perimenopause I am not sure what to do so I’m comfortable at times I have been back-and-forth with PT I have to admit not very consistent, my regular GYN thinks I should avoid the surgery and try to fix it myself

Thank you for sharing! I had prolapse surgery 8 months ago… rebuilt front wall, back wall, ‘tabletop’ . My doctor was astonished at my quick recovery. This week I suddenly have cystocele stage 3 almost 4. Dr unavailable for six weeks. Wondering do I choose a pessary for myself in the wait time? Highly uncomfortable and feels abraded.

He called it interior and posterior colporrhaphy, perineoplasty, mid urethral sling and cystoscopy for Cystocele, rectocele, perineal insufficiency, stress urinary incontinence. I think I made a bad decision on doctor and I am switching. now. Thanks for the tips

I had mesh surgery at age 60 12 years ago. It was transvaginal mesh and it was the beginning of hell. Within 3 months the surgery failed and I had terrible pain in my low back and down both legs. I went to 3 urogynocologists ALL argued it had nothing to do with my surgery, even though I knew it was. Then I went to 5 other specialists. Each one had their own bias "it is spinal stenous", "it is brain damage from a car accident from 50 years ago', "it is ankalosing spondylis" --- BUT I JUST KNEW!!! After 10 years of agony....I finally got fitted for a pessary. I walked into the office with my cane barely able to walk because of my pain, and sciatic in my low back, hip, knee and down to my toes. As soon as the pessary was put it, ALL my sciatic pain lest and 50% of my other leg pain left. PESSARIES WORK...don't get sold on surgery!!!!!!

I think it depends on the needs of the patient. I have heard so many great things about pessary and they should always be tried before surgery.
For me, when I tried a pessary it hurt more and didn't help to hold up anything. Instead it fell behind the uterine prolapse making it far worse. But I also have stage 4 prolapse at 15 years old. So doctors doubted it would work but tried it anyways because my life is hell with my prolapse. But glad we tried it beforehand to make sure

I asked my dr how women used to deal with it, because as I’ve went through this journey I’ve realized how not alone I am.
She told me they just let it all hang out. 🥺
I will say that you will need some help for a couple weeks especially if your child needs special care. You already know that healing processes better when you can rest and be relaxed. You wouldn’t want to do anything that can mess up the work you endured. The pain isn’t unbearable but having bowel movements is a challenge.
Now, I need to go through your videos and find inspiration to lose 30-40 pounds. 💕

@@elemis2826 Me too! I also have a tilted uterus. I've never known anyone else personally with it 🤗 I do feel a little better with your correspondence. Thank you 💗 Oh! As for weight loss I felt miserable at first because I went strictly to pistachios, peanuts, cauliflower & broccoli both raw and steamed, teriyaki noodles, mushrooms, baked potatoes with no butter just salt and pepper, etc. I add organic garlic to any and everything possible most of the time. Even garlic powder at times. I even purposefully eat baby carrots to keep my estrogen low and somewhat balanced to help a healthy perimenopause and in about 8 months have shrunk my fibroid tumor 2 cm. I went as organic as possible because even the spray on non organic apples have hormones. My favorite snacks are banana and or apple slices w/Jif peanut butter. I don't measure. I only eat pasta maybe once a month and it's strictly Barilla protein pasta now. I quit consuming dairy EXCEPT I do have some pizza a couple times a month and maybe a dab of sour cream with 1 baked potato once or twice a month but the rest of the potatoes salt & pepper & garlic powder, maybe crushed red peppers. I eat a hard boiled egg a few times a month and my favorite treat is an iced, Annihilator with white chocolate at Dutch Bros (sometimes with Almond milk instead of their 1/2 & 1/2). Black olives straight from the can or with black bean burritos a few times a month......I found that honey graham crackers smeared with Jif tastes IDENTICAL to Nutter Butter cookies 😉 Because of the fibroid tumor (and previous heavybleeds) I would do gentle pilates and walk whenever possible. Sometimes shooting hoops and tennis or hitting a volleyball over & over in the air as I walked around. It took determination and tears of perseverance honestly. I'll slip and have homemade french toast with no limit or eat 3 fries from one of the kids McD's meals (which are now limited too for their sake...instead of weekly those trips are a few times a month).
THANK YOU again 🤗🤘💗 You're truly awesome and much appreciated. If you need an ear I'm here.

I know you said you have to be cautious when recovering, but can you eventually go back to lifting weight or should you stay away from it all together? I have a 2 year old plus at work it's part of my job description to lift 50lbs. I've been living with this on and off since before getting pregnant with my last baby, but I didn't k ow what it was and when I went to the obgyn to get it checked out, she didn't see anything. But when I stand up or sit down I definitely know it's there.

You can go back to lifting slowly & nothing over 10lbs strictly for 6 weeks after surgery... keep in mind that's a gallon of milk. Nothing more then that. Proper rest. I didn't follow these guidelines after hernia surgery a year & half ago & it wasn't 3 months after surgery i felt the same previous pain & been dealing with it since. I messed up the permanent sutures so it's important to follow the orders in place.. i understand that's not possible in everyone's life especially with a toddler (that's what I did wrong myself) hence why I'm putting off the prolapse surgery myself. Blessings for you in your journey with this. ❤

Thanks for the video, I am urogynecologist and have couple of comments. Surgery could be also considered on stage 2 if patient is symptomatic and does not have to wait for stage 3 or beyond. Waiting longer would damage the pelvic nerves further, and also stretch the connective tissue more. I disagree with cystocele repair part of your surgery and was not necessary and unfortunately it will increase your chance of having urinary urgency and nocturia ( need to pee at night). thanks again for sharing your experience.
