Lots of great tips here! To "pre-dust" my dash and the instrument bezel, I use a swiffer duster. It works fantastic for removing the majority (or all), of the dust with no chance of scratching and is great for getting into the crevices. As a bonus tip, I also use them for computer and television screens.
Hey Chris. I've been watching your videos on and off for years. You really know your stuff. I noticed this video is 3 years old. I hope you are still making more content. From the clear & illuminating camera work, to the concise & articulate narration, to the expert car and product knowledge shared, these are by far the best videos I've ever come across on any subject. Like you, I'm OC about wanting my vehicle to look brand new, both for my own pleasure, and to retain its value as long as possible. I am obsessed with getting every nook and crevice clean and protected, but often question what products are truly safe to use on which surfaces. Thank you so much for the thorough explanations and detailed procedures. I'm learning a lot from you and I totally trust any advice you share. I never worry that you might be leading me astray. Thank you!!! You are the BEST!!!!
It's the details that make things look clean, all the little cracks and crevices - that is a great tip that applies to almost everything! I'm sure you can impress people with your house if you clean up all the details, too. Or a piece of DIY furniture, or anything like that. Even a bike. Clothing style. I had never thought about it that way until I watched this video.
This video is epic!!! I thought you missed this in your previous interior superclean and was actually super bummed. But after I saw this video in my recommended I literally beamed with happiness. You are a legend Chris and make people smile as much as you educate them about cars.
Before watching chrisfix: I know how to clean my car. After watching chrisfix: I know how to superclean my car, look my interior look like brand new and clean my engine bay too!!!
The attention to detail, thorough explanation to why you choose your items or do something a certain way, as well as a clear demonstration on what not to do and how things could go wrong. Everything shows why ChrisFix is the Pauk Harrell of car videos. One of my favorite channels to date. You have a clear dedication to your viewers and a Grade-A instructional approach.
Jeremy Ckarkson: Some say he only knows two phrases that being, "Soapy Wooder" and "Now use some medium strength threadlocker," All we know is he's not the stig, but he is the stigs mechanic cousin. Ah was worth a shot I guess. Edit: Woah! Never received so many likes, thanks guys💪
Thanks so much for this Chris. I tried these tips on a car I just bought for my wife to practice driving in. A tired 2006 car now looks a whole lot newer and nicer thanks to this amazing guide. I really didn’t realise how much that I thought was wear was actually just grime.

This guy is good . Just a reminder though if you live in a hot state .Wait to detail your car just when the sun is going down . You want to make sure your car is cooled off. When using water or any Chemicals on and in your car you can fade the surface of your car if the area of your car is hot. This guy knows what he's talking about. I also detail cars
I used to date a guy who was super stingy. He took his dark green Chevy to a manual car wash, was too stingy to rinse it first, it was very, very, hot. He slung the soapy brush across the cab and that soap sizzled into the clearcoat. He like to have never got it looking almost normal again. Almost.
Some say that he is so skilled that he can make a car from scratch and that he eats only medium strength treadlocker. All we know is he is not the STIG but it's the Stig's Mechanic Cousin.
I love how you go step-by-step, because we can detail our vehicles ourselves with just some time. Professional detailing is pricey. This is my first video I have seen of yours and it was an amazing first. Thank you!
Chris Fix never ceases to amaze and impress. While other channels or "content creators" pander to the hype, this channel kept it real from inception and continues to do so so many years later. Best channel on RUclips ever!
I drive Uber full time and there’s now way I can pay someone for this level of detail but my ‘14 Santa Fe is definitely showing its age and these videos are gold. As a fellow Philly suburb guy, the soapy “wooder” is gold. I’m guessing Delco but I could be wrong 😂
I'm a room attendant and use brushes for detail cleaning. It never occured to me to use the same technique when cleaning my car. Love the step by step explanation of the chemicals used and the cleaning technique. Thanks.
Same here! I'm a bit OCD when it comes to cleaning my cars interior & being a woman, I always have my makeup bag with me when going somewhere so I got clever one day & pulled out the various size "makeup brushes" (clean ones of course!)& was amazed how great they were for cleaning in between all the instrument panels😉

This is by far the best interior clean video I have ever watched. Thank you for showing the before and after, and also educating on what cleaners to use and why! Ive had a few times where I would get my car washed and all of the interior would be wiped over with one oily high gloss protectant and now I know better to do it myself and take care of each surface. I had no idea the scratches on my gauge bezel with my previous car came from using paper towels! Who would have thought paper towels can scratch surfaces! Keep the videos coming! Oh and the gong sound is so funny!
As I lay tired next to my woman, unable to perform, she looked straight in the eye and asked "Was there another woman?" I told her that she knew she was the only one for me. As she nodded, she asked again, "So ChrisFix uploaded another video?" I turned to her and gave her a loving hug and said, "Yes."
6:47 I got my car detailed, and I think the guy who did it, did exactly this. It left stains inside the guage bezel and inside the guage lens. Now I have to take it apart and clean it myself. Your videos are very well done. Thank you.

Thanks Chris! Watching this deep clean series is equal to a certified training course in professional detailing...possibly even better because of your very specific explanation and hands on display of how it's done. Top notch!
"detailers" use specialist brushes and chemicals that are $10 a bottle
chis fix uses old toothbrush and soapy wooder
Can't argue with results
Yeah but those are professional products used for time and easier but the results cannot be argued with 🤷♂️ speak from experience
There are time where we need more brushes and chemicals for special situation. Or get done faster or leave the carpet in a natural state.
I just buy boar hair or horse hair paint brushes, trim them to a preferable length and get to work.
I get bulk chemicals i can mix 1-20 so its not too expensive doing this
Your tutorials are a GODSEND!!! I'm starting full-time as an "independent contractor" aka food delivery driver, and I'm about to do a deep-clean of my SUV! These tutorials are EXACTLY what I need!!

Joe Don’t let this video distract you from the fact that if you don’t have Jesus as your Lord and Savior and die you will go to hell. Say this prayer: Jesus Christ, please come into my life and be my Lord and Savior I’m sorry for all the sins I’ve committed. Amen. If you said that prayer I strongly suggest you get baptized. 🛀🛁🛀🕊

Lots of great tips here! To "pre-dust" my dash and the instrument bezel, I use a swiffer duster. It works fantastic for removing the majority (or all), of the dust with no chance of scratching and is great for getting into the crevices. As a bonus tip, I also use them for computer and television screens.

Almost.
Amazing. The amount of effort you have put into this video speaks for itself. Very well done, brother !
Thanks a lot Mandeep!
