      Hi Pan, I had a quick question, I just got a 2023 Mercedes SL which came with Nappa Leather. seats and dashboard. I want to protect the leather throughout the interior of the car so I don't end up with a cracked dashboard or seats. Which product would you recommend that can be used to protect the Nappa leather and not damage it and keep the leather looking new, like from the factory? Any recommendation would be appreciated. FYI, I've referred to using Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner, would you agree and recommend these products or would you have a better option you'd recommend? thanks.

    Great video! Clearly demonstrates that investing in a few key items, such as drying towels, wheel and barrel brush, etc., can really save you time and money in the long run. I think the same holds true for other products as well. For someone only occasionally cleaning their vehicle, these budget products are better than nothing. Anyone watching here, I believe has evolved to higher quality products, and appreciates the difference.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  Год назад +13

      For sure, just the fact one would go out and detail their car already surpasses the majority of the population that neglects their vehicle. So while the products can sometimes be super important, it’s the methods and techniques that are even more important.
      Give a good detailer average products and he’ll still do a good job.
      But of course when you detail vehicles regularly, then it makes sense to invest in higher quality chemicals and tools if they can increase your efficiency and results and make the user experience better.

    I used to use Koch Chemie, Carpro and Adam’s car wash soap and bug removers. But I always go back to meguiar’s gold class soap and turtle wax bug and tar remover. In my conditions, I feel that turtle wax bug and tar remover has the best performance without compromising my coating. I also feel that Meguiars gold class soap has a lot more lubrication compared to carpro reset, Koch chemie GSF and Adam’s soap. They’re also very cheap and easily available, so I can use higher dilution. But on all other products such as pressure washer equipment, polishers and polishing compounds, I use the highest end stuff from obsessed garage. I only use consumer grade products for bug tar remover and car wash shampoo

    I love Sprayway Glass Cleaner because it is ammonia-free, cleans really well (no streaks), and is widely available. In cooler climates, this might not matter, but where I live (in the desert), most glass cleaners dry almost instantly. For instance, the rag will touch the glass, and it is already dry at the point of contact because of how hot the glass is. This doesnt happen with sprayway so it has become my go to glass cleaner.

    Most importantly, we all have to start somewhere! I would recommend everyone to get the basics first and then progress later simply to be able to put your money where your mouth is. The stuff I was using 20 years ago in my mind were the best of the best but nowadays I was very wrong. Of course technology has improved since but the experience along the way will solidify why more professional products are not only economical but very useful. If you want to ditch big box store products, I'd highly suggest jumping into the P&S product line! You won't be disappointed.

      Thanks for the feedback! I have tons of videos on affordable products and tools and will make more in the future for sure.
      Technique is the most important, but for someone who details often, sometimes having those higher quality products and tools can allow you to be more efficient and/or deliver better results all while getting a better user experience.

    Funny thing there is an old guy out there who bought an F150 new in 1984, parks it under a carport and cleans it every 2 weeks w/Turtle Wax & Armor All products. As well as changes his oil every 3k miles & uses a Fram or STP filter (whichever is on sale or in stock at the time). 😂 It’s probably 90% consistency and 10% the product.

    Found 1 spot I had missed during paint correction the size of a toothpick where a stain was not removed from the front bumper. It was sealed under the Cericote. Was able to remove the stain after removing the coating that had sealed over it. I can tell you the Cericote had bonded over it with an extreme hardness due to proper curing. Once I removed the coating the stain was easily removed.

From bsd, waxes, sealants, TW ceramic spray (an example, because i have it), to the newish ceramic-lites (carpro cquartz lite and in uk Infinity Wax Synergy lite, which id like to have a go at but have concerns removing the stuff) to full blown ceramics 1yr, 2yr, 9yr. How do we strip the lsp so we can start over?
