I just posted my newest SUPER CLEAN video on how to Super Clean your Wheels and remove 2yrs of brake dust, tar, and stains: ruclips.net/video/5zZyiY23OpY/видео.html
Hi Chris, Awesome video, Was hoping you also had some advice on how to tackle stains and general cleaning on Alcantara fabric seats or interior. I find that most car product suppliers such as meguioars do not even have a product that is specifically tailored to suit alcantara fabrics and car cleaning channels do not cover this as thoroughly and with true results as you do with your videos, would really appreciate any advice or if you could cover this topic!
Thinking about this when my family ask what I’m thankful for on thanksgiving ima say snap on 😂😂😂 definitely not for the prices but for the truck and how easy it is to use the lifetime warranty

The carpet extractor vacuum is a gamechanger, and your videos have sparked a great new hobby for me. I've been watching all your videos and it has given me the idea of how to really get it cleaned inside and out. Can't wait to get started on it. And the leather seats look bad in it. So I'm hoping what you showed on the video will bring some life back into it.

Chris, thank you for good, professional videos. I ran accidentally into your videos, and I was impressed with the quality of your work. Besides the good tips of cleaning the cars (which I have not followed yet, but I will try), the quality of your videos, the ways you edit and present them, the attention to details, the close-up videos, the explanation of your trials and learnings, the extra detailed work you put in, makes the whole difference to a quality RUclips instructional video. It is refreshing to see a good quality video on RUclips. THANK YOU
The leather version cleaning part starts @13:22 , but there are also some great tips in the clothe part as well, the whole vid is a great watch!! Thnx for the great instructions!!
I love that you torque your seats down haha. That's real dedication right there. Your attention to detail and motivation to go the extra mile makes your videos very informative. Keep up the good work!
Torquing is a must. Are you kidding me? Most of the bolts/fasteners on any automobile will have torque values assigned. Get a hold of the repair manual for your specific vehicle. Good Luck. 🍀
I love how he super careful removing the seats cause he cares about cars. I stopped watching another video like this cause they were rough removing the seats from the car. So thanks Chris for caring for the cars and sharing your tips and tricks.
Thanks for these super clean videos. My mom works on a farm so your muddy example is a weekly occurrence for me but she is always thankful and still confused who ChrisFix is but she says "thanks for helping my son clean my seats" lol.
Or alternatively: It's gonna be tedious, your back is going to hurt like crazy and hard work won't matter in the end (because you get it dirty again soon).
@@uzivatel56 “I’m not gonna wipe my ass because I’m just going to shit again.” - you, probably If you never clean stuff, it’s going to be way more dirty than if you keep up with the cleaning, even to the point that there is irreparable damage done to it. For example: the seats in my 96 Toyota which have never been cleaned vs the seats in my 03 Nissan ( both cloth seats) that I clean yearly. I don’t think I have to explain anymore than that.

I wish you were here. There are no interior detailers here in Chattanooga area. At least that I've found. Well there's one but he's one guy. I need my car cleaned and watching this video has inspired me to clean it myself. But I'm just so tired. lol. And I need tools. I guess I'll just do a simple clean first. Thank you for posting this! Who knows. Maybe I'll start a side hustle.
Just out of curiosity, how much would you charge someone to fully detail their car? I mean I’d pay you $1000 to get my car show ready.... you want more? Less? 😬
Now that explains my project car problem: The dirt is deep in the foam, not just the fabric. So obvious... Thanks to your cleaning video series, I recently opted for a more luxurious car that was simply so dirty nobody apparently bought it. Dirty enough I had to ask for plastic sheets for the test drive. Mechanically sound, but dirty beyond anything I ever sat in. Now it's almost mint, except that I can't get the seats really clean. Now I know why! Side question: How do you get color stains out of bright carpet from apparently cheap floor mats in the car? Three rounds of carpet cleaner did virtually nothing to those. Thank you, Chris!
Spray the floormats down with a cleaner of your choice then powerwash them and then extract them if you can. Haven't found a stain that isn't removed by that, even hardcore oil stains. Still you can probably get some used floormats from junkyard or online and clean them up instead of these. And for the seats, you can also powerwash them if they don't have airbags and you live somewhere sunny, but you'll need to extract them afterwards and probably dry them in sun for a couple of hours or even days. Don't use direct sun so you don't change the colours accidentally. Or you could take them apart and remove the sponges and clean them separately but that's really the last solution, i'd rather just buy all new ones.
Heres what I used and I had a custom shop. Oxy clean & LA's Totally Awesome. Dilute the Totally Awesome and mix with oxy clean. You can get the powder and mix it . A loose paste is optimal. Use a stiff bristle brush to work it in. Clean with a shampooer or the likes. I have cleaned coffee stained headliners this way too. But, use a soft bristle brush as to not "crush" the headliner foam. Do Not press hard on the headliner. ✌N ❤
I just discovered your channel, but I quickly subscribed and am excited to watch the rest of your videos. Your attention to the little details is what really sets you apart and makes the difference between a good detail job and an amazing one. Your postive attitude and fun personality shine through in your videos, which are so professionally shot and edited, they are really entertaining to watch. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with other car fans, my E30 and E39 are going to be looking brand new in no time!
Some tips for you: 1. Don’t forget to clean all around the seat: headrests and its rails, behind the seat and pockets, as well as the space between the back and the seat itself. Adjust the seat to a lying down position for your convenience. 2. You don’t have to use any special product to clean. All you need is a brush for leather, hand soap/laundry soap, microfiber cloth (Chris’ favorite) and some water to make soapy foam. Don’t apply it to the whole seat, as it’ll absorb. Pick a part of the seat first and apply the foam to a soft brush and start cleaning. After around 10 sec wipe the foam with a dry microfiber cloth. If there is no dirt on the cloth and the part is not any better, take a harder brush. 3. In the worst scenario if you still can’t get the dirt out of the texture and pores, take a Magic eraser (melamine sponge) or a clean cloth with some alcohol. But after this, your leather will be innocent with no coat protecting it, so you’ll need to apply the coat. 4. Take a matte effect leather conditioner or with less shine possible if you want your leather look newer or better than Chris’ ;) PS I cleaned beige leather on my Jag also x type just a week before the video is here😅 Chris will you do leather restoration any soon or I go first? 😆

All I've done before is use a cleaner and wipe. Seriously my truck looks almost like new inside. The wife's car looks and smells great. Thank you very much for showing this old Dawg a new trick.
Perfect. Recently traded my new car for an older one and saying it was dirty inside is an understatement. This will help me clean out the interior of the car! Thanks!!
ddi you clean it? and if you did, did it go well?

Been watching Chris fix for a while just for the odd bits, now starting my own business detailing and finding myself coming back to watch stuff like this as a reminder and see how others do the job, always makes quality content, keep it going 👍🏼❤️
Thanks to chris, my first car will be amazing!

Thank you for this. I'm on a budget and really need to detail my cloth interior of my 2013 civic as I've never had it done. The car has been such a great asset to us that its the minimum I can do for soo many years of keeping me safe, getting the family around, etc... We have put soo many miles on it and with these tough economical times, you gave me confidence to go ahead and do the detailing myself. Thank you again!
Not a single atom of dust can escape Chris' eyes. And he is so happy and excited after such thorough and back breaking work.Shows his dedication.Customers will be very happy and assured knowing their car will be best taken care of by this man only
Man, I don’t like to sit and watch videos - any videos - over 10 min, but this? Had to watch every second. Ur the best.
It is so nice to sit down in your car after a thorough, deep cleaning of the interior!
I know. My car is 03. It looks practiacally new actet I attained it from a cat lady. It was dirty!
I just brought a 2003 Honda pilot. It is about as dirty as your sister's car is. I am in the process of buying everything to clean it with.

THANK YOU
The effort it takes for these videos is so underestimated. By far my favourite RUclipsr, only wish there was videos more frequently.
The leather version cleaning part starts @13:22 , but there are also some great tips in the clothe part as well, the whole vid is a great watch!! Thnx for the great instructions!!

Cleaning seats teaches us some important life lessons; pay attention to details and it's what on the inside that counts.
Or alternatively: It's gonna be tedious, your back is going to hurt like crazy and hard work won't matter in the end (because you get it dirty again soon).
I don’t care how terrible the outside of my car looks as long as the engine is well-maintained and the interior isn’t trashed.
@@uzivatel56 “I’m not gonna wipe my ass because I’m just going to shit again.” - you, probably
If you never clean stuff, it’s going to be way more dirty than if you keep up with the cleaning, even to the point that there is irreparable damage done to it. For example: the seats in my 96 Toyota which have never been cleaned vs the seats in my 03 Nissan ( both cloth seats) that I clean yearly. I don’t think I have to explain anymore than that.
@@rampageblizzard you’d be surprised how many people don’t clean/wipe their ass 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ it’s unreal people actually think like this. Sadly people don’t see the importance of keeping things clean

You're an amazing dude, ChrisFix. Your attention to detail, as well as your ability to explain each action (and why), is remarkable.
What I love about your videos is that you explain things not just cleaning. It shows your thorough understanding of your expertise THANK YOU!
Hopefully you'll be able to get those seats cleaner now! And try mixing dish soap and vinegar to remove the color stains!

Some tips for you:
4. Take a matte effect leather conditioner or with less shine possible if you want your leather look newer or better than Chris’ ;)
PS I cleaned beige leather on my Jag also x type just a week before the video is here😅
Chris will you do leather restoration any soon or I go first? 😆

Hi
Chris,
Many thanks for not only showing us how to properly clean a car but how to properly create a video. There are many lame ducks out there. But it is always a pleasure to view one that is very well done. Yes, brushes are very important as well as good cleaning products. I am sure Meguire's is very happy about your referrals. My first employer 40 years ago, auto body shop, highly recommended their wax. But it is your persistent reference to what is necessary and how it is useful in the process over and over again. I wish all videos were made in this manner.
