    My husband and I have four variations of the HK P2000. Very solid pistols, great for CCW. Thanks for the video.

      I have standard P2000 in 9mm and sometimes use it as my winter time CCW as its easy enough to conceal under a jacket, however a little too big for the summer time wearing a t-shirt and shorts so I carry my Glock 43X instead. I do absolutely love it tho so I am therefore looking to get the SK at some point for my summer time CCW.

      What is your favorite variation and why? Also what are the variants? I’m currently in between p2000 vs p2000sk. Going lem 40

    I sent mine to Bill Springfield. He reduced the take-up and the reset. I love my P2000. I can't comprehend how this is snappy in 9mm. I have them in 9mm, 40S&W, and I carry one in 357 Sig. My gun eats it and barely moves. This gun is a cupcake! It is small AND soft shooting. It is a perfect carry gun.

    I got brainwashed by marketing gimmicks on sizes and ammo counts. After dust settled I realized HK P2000SK LEM was the best subcompact so I’m back to my P2000SK for daily CCW.

      Its actually the key for the patented HK Lock-Out Device, located inside the magazine well. Once engaged, it locks the handguns action by blocking any movement of the trigger, hammer, and the slide. It will not fire until unlocked. Page 18 of the manual.

    The Double action acts as a safety which is why it’s so heavy. If you pull it in DA it was no accident. The Single Action is the best trigger on the market.

    ... The P2k is an awesome gun and is just as robust as the uspc, p30, and every other well tested HK pistol.. I am really loving the FDE color on your P2k👍.... I’ve never seen a factory colored P2k and it looks great!!.. This was a great video and covered a lot of good info.. I would love to pick up one like this but only in LEM... Then put in a GG reduced reset kit that costs like 90bucks, and can install easy and in short time👍... that really does make a good difference in the reset, and is very noticeable 👍.... All my HK hammer fired pistols are lite LEM, and I love that LEM trigger... 😬👍🇺🇸

    V2 is a great variation, has no decocker or safety, good for conceal carry with the double action first initial pull, reset is short following after first shot. Also if you have the v2 variation you can install light trigger and shorter reset

    I sneezed on one of my HK carrying cases and blew all the black finish off of it!😆 Been trying to find a P-2000 SK to handle but they seem pretty rare around here. My 4" VP-9 will be for 'cold weather' carry. The P-2000SK looks like a great warmer weather carry pistol.

    That's a great pistol ! You can really see the progression of how HK went with their designs in the P2000 . It has a slide that kinda looks like a USP , a mag release of the USP , decocker of a P30 , slide release of a P30 and HK45 , and a grip like the HK45c .
    If pistols were alive the P2000 would be the missing link of how the USP evolved into the P series and proving once and for all Charles Darwin's Theory Of Evolution : )
    The key is for a internal lock inside the mag well .

    I have one in 357 Sig. I carry it daily. The sides of the grip give grip without eating my skin. I focus my grip on the front and back more than the sides. Mine is standard SA/DA. The recoil is manageable in 40 or 357. The 9mm must be a cupcake.
    The trigger on the USPC IS nicer in SA. The reset is shorter and the take-up is shorter. The P2000 is 100% ambidextrous. The USP is not totally ambidextrous.

    @nobodyknows9937 Год назад

    I really like mine, a V3, but that DA pull just does not seem to get better for me. At 15 yards with a 12-inch circumference target, the first DA shot will hit somewhere on paper, but I never know where it will be. Every shot after that is consistent with how I shoot any similar sized pistol.

      @theevenstevenchannel8220  Год назад +2

      I could do one, but there's nothing really special about cleaning and oiling the gun. I generally wipe everything as best I can with paper towels. Run a bore snake through the barrel.
      Then a SMALL amount if oil where ever seems appropriate. Generally the slide rail in the frame and where the barrel and slide rub together. If you still want, I'll do itm

      Grease is slicker and it won't migrate when you wear it. Don't use a bunch but if you use too much, you won't know it until you shoot it enough to heat it up.

      I have probably shot an HK USP Compact, but not a lot and not in a while. I think the ergonomics are better and it has a better accessory. I think the P2000 is more practical and thr USP is more 1990s cool nostalgia.

    • @Lexicologist1971
      @Lexicologist1971 Год назад

      @yasser gym , I own both. The P2000 has adjustable grip size, ambidextrous slide release and decocker. The grip is IWB friendly. The USP Compact has a nicer trigger, aggressive checkering on the front and back, abrasive side panels, one sided control lever (safety & decocker), and one sided slide release. I carry the P2000. My full sized USP40 only gave me issues with steel cased Wolf ammo.

    No proper safety check. Not cool. Nevertheless the DA trigger is there as an extra- added precaution (aka “safety”). If you pull the trigger, you mean to “pull the trigger.” You are not supposed to run steel (and aluminum) ammo in the P2000. Read, always read the manual. By the way, the key is for an internal mag well lock. Nice review otherwise.
