I've always been a disciple of Stills...his vocals and playing here are stellar, especially on "On The Way Home"...this entire remix of this album is so sublime...

Wow. This takes me back to being there for this music in 1969. I saw them at the Denver Coluseum. I was young, and so was this music. This sounds so fresh, still.

Yes, we were. I was 18 in '75. Saw the Stones in Memphis that year. I've seen CS&N twice and Neil twice. But never all 4 together. This is a fine cd. My hidden gem? Sea of Madness!

They made such a big impact. My mom always talked about how they played Teach Your Children at her graduation in 1971, and everyone sang along to it. CSNY created magic.

Wow lady of the island , a lost classic i havent heard in a very long time. Ive saw csny in 1973 at cleveland municipal stadium during the old world series of rock concerts. Since then ive seen csn 3 times, duets of stills and young, along with crosby nash, stills young and nash solo several times. RIP DAVID we miss you dearly!

Was the concert in Cleveland Stadium with Jesse Collins Young, Santana, and THE BAND??? If it was it was in 1974. I drove up from Louisville, Ky. for it. Truly a great concert. Remember a full moon moving across the sky as C,S,N&Y played for hours.

It took me 55 years to learn..
    now a bit wiser,
    I’m glad that I gotcha,
    same time very sad -
about playing my “Western Guitar” to death,..
by playing Bob Dylan’s “Like A Rolling Stone” & “Ballad Of Hollis Brown” -
    with rage in the stomach,
    too often.. hard’n’heavy so.
If it would have been more of your finest guitar playing,
    I might still hit’ I guess -
    the missing piece,
    but nicer way.
    Bless y’all !!!!

This is quintessential CSNY… At their best, in a great venue…Neil shines by offering great tunes that work with the combo…
Neil’s retort to Stills in the open to “I’ve loved her so long” says a lot about where things would eventually head… but this was was still in the embryonic state and everyone worked so well together..
Personal fave is the Motown esque Sea of Madness..

This is from a Warner Brothers email advertising this album >After famously playing their second show at Woodstock in August 1969, David Crosby, Stephen Stills, Graham Nash, and Neil Young spent the rest of the year touring and writing songs for what would become CSNY's 1970 debut, Déjà Vu. A newly discovered multi-track recording of the band's September 20, 1969, concert at the historic Fillmore East in New York City captures an early moment from that first tour and is out today as a double live album.

Well, they laugh out loud during Helplessly Hoping, ruining the song. This concert is no way close to studio perfection. Just be prepared.

Lord Greystoke needs to clear the stick from his nether reaches. Live recordings are not supposed to be perfect. They are meant to capture the essence of live performance, which this recording clearly does. Less "Lord" more LISTEN!

Who needs this, when you have "4 Way Street" from 1971? Sounds too sharp.

I've always wanted a video DVD of. ' 4 way ' I greatly prefer video to LP be it Diana Krall Paris , , G. Dead movie. ( someone made a 80 min video of one of the G. Deads Euro 72 concert > Tivoli ). Audio & video. real good to me. easy U.T. heck I have a VHS of the Doors. but very little of CSN & Y>. Neil was for some nonsense against vids ....?

@josefeschweiler3631. Some people (like me) might appreciate to hear the differences throughout the years. 1974, 1977 ... Different steps on the ladder of their mastership.
