Even though the video is about your awesome street photography, thank you for actually having the lens on your A7IV and filming video with it. I came across this video trying to find out how the 20mm f/1.8 fared in video and your content delivered!

Hey Vidal! Thanks so much man! I appreciate the comment as well. If you need to see more examples the last several videos are mostly filmed with it. Im also filming so more cinematic type stuff next week with it in Italy. So keep an eye out for that. Thanks again for watching!

Hey Michael, I stumbled upon this video in my attempt to decide between the Sony 20 1.8 or the 24 1.4. Your awesome b-roll and photos have certainly nudged me in the direction of the 20mm!
For your b-roll shots, are you filming wide open, or do you stop down your aperture to get more of the scene in focus? Most content creators post settings for their stills, but never their videos! Then again, maybe it’s just me who’s curious . . .

      Hey DKnilla!
Glad you found the video! I love the 20 for video and photos. The focal length is a bit more unique than the 24 for me personally. The size, weight quality of the images plus the cost savings made it the winner in my decision. For the B-roll I was mainly at 1.8, I really wanted to teat it wide open but sometimes at 2.8. I started to put my video settings in some of my later videos for lens tests as I realized that would be more helpful for people. Thanks for the feedback. And appreciate your time! Hope that helps!

hi Michael I found your channel and it is a gem. I have a question. did you shoot this video in 4k and export in 1080p or you shoot it in 1080p. The quality of your video is amazing and also pls make a video regarding ND filter. thanks

Hi Vipenda! Thanks for the comment about the channel. I shoot and export everything in 4k. What did you want to know about the ND filter. Im using the moment variable ND’s. I made a video about them on my channel. ruclips.net/video/eYcDaxe2JiQ/видео.html. If you have something specific let me know and I can try to make something.

I have the same setup for the past month I’ve been really using my 20mm that I’ve owned for the past year or so, I absolutely love doing street photography with it, getting subjects and their surroundings is a game changer, def need to get real close at times, but the lens is so sharp that cropping becomes that much better while still holding on to the environment, 85 is also a great focal length for the streets imo.

Definitely agree! Also using crop mode to make the lens a 30mm is a very classic street focal. Thanks for leaving a comment. Appreciate it man

Why not take the 11mm 1.8 Sony lens apsc? on a FF it will be a 16mm
