I could here a jazz singer doing a remake such as Kurt Elling, or dont kid yourself Paul Anka, who has re-done Oasis' Wonderwall. as a big band band version.

Frusciante is the greatest guitarist of modern music. The riffs, solos, and fills he has created on so many songs are unbelievably complex and beautiful
I do wish he'd play things just a littttllee more like the albums recordings a lot of the time. Don't get me wrong I love the idea of just feeling it in that moment and seeing where it goes but, frusciante always has the best solos on their albums and then live it seems like he kinda.... doesn't deliver a lot of the time. But....what do I know..

Frusciante's emotion in this solo is so much that it spreads that intensity and makes you cry with happiness, because you feel what he feels, and to see Anthony dancing and the rest of the Chilli Peppers in harmony with it is just beautiful.
John is to thank for the concept of "wet sand" in this song. I think that's so cool...so I see this as a big JF song. The last 1 minute and 30 seconds is so great. I get chills.

I was lucky enough to see them with John at Great Woods in Mansfield MA back during the Californication tour, was immeasurably amazing. The 2nd time i saw them was for the Im With You tour with Josh in Hollywood CA, that show was at the Fonda Theater, since its a smaller venue than they usually play nowadays with a 1000 person capacity the show sold out super super fast and had people without tix lined up down Hollywood blvd hoping to get in. I was standing by the front doors underneath the marquee just hanging out waiting while all the people in line were looking at me like i was crazy probably saying to themselves 'yea ok buddy get to the end of the line, your ass ain't getting in' obviously not knowing that my good friend worked at the Fonda, cuz then suddenly she came out and opened the ropes for me as i strutted in and proceeded to see another immeasurably amazing Chili Peppers show where i could have thrown a hat onto the stage i was so close. Cant wait to see them a 3rd time.
It’s a song about love and all aspect of it good and bad and just loving it all at least that’s what it feels like to me. That solo is so packed to the lid with emotion it’s insane. One of my favorite frusciante solos and one of my favorite rhcp songs.
