This was not only the greatest solo of all the history of rock and roll, it was pure expression. The secret recesses of the human soul exposed in a brutal way. @@Johnny_Zed Yeah life on the road is tough. It's not easy being a musician. Everyday you're inside a van, or if you're lucky, a bus, with the same people, for up to a year at a time. You're following a strict schedule and you don't get to live your regular life. There's no freedom. All you get is you get to play music for a living, groupies, and drugs. And look at what that did to John.
I know this is 4 years old but this made me lol. I just read it as a band of fuck ups watching this video and the one sane member says "SEE! Now THIS is a band that had their shit together!"
John is crying through his guitar; whether its tears of joy, sadness, experience, sorrow, spite, bliss, elation or a mix of all of them, its brilliant.
Mixed feelings. Love them both, but Josh more. They are different kind of guitar players so in the end it's about personal taste, not about better or worse.
I don’t think people are actually getting how they play as band. And their argument is that John is basically playing the thing for like 5 min and flea is doing all the work, that was not the intention. John was playing the same thing because flea was the one playing the solo not him, the first half has fleas time to shine and the second was johns
Amazing you say that because in a interview or podcast I can’t recall he said that’s he thinks of music in colors that go together. And he also a artist

i was just watching this and realizing that Josh Hof is in there doing keyboards. I know he's been with these guys for years before he became the guitarist, as the back up, but I've been wondering what direction he's going from here.
Just in case you don't know, but you probably do know, Frusciante produces hip hop beats for the Black Knights, check out their albums 'Midieval Chamber' and 'The Almighty'. And Frusciante's solo producing!
I do the same guys. Weird sensation, is like everyone of us have the feeling that John is our friend. In some way I want this just to be mine but also at the same time, I want to share with everybody of you, who want to listen, his beautiful soul speaking.
One specific part I love about this performance is from minute 7:00 onwards, how quickly Chad picks up on Fleas change in rythm. It's literally one bar until he does it as well.
Anthony's lyrics are cool and they work to create the songs, and i love the guy.......but man are Flea, John and Chad 3 of the best to ever do it at there respective instruments, and how the 4 of them come together to create magic is beyond words.....and i still cant believe JOHN IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!
The funny thing of this four guitarist all of they have a dirty sound which i have Nothing against specially when you think about it frusciante ídols where page and hendrix.
From a musician point of view, the guitarist doesn’t play on the beat. He doesn’t communicate with other musicians. The first 5 minutes are the more boring of my life.
@@francoisnuq3304 highlight exactly where he isn't in tempo with what flea or smith has established. Out of all the people on that stage, John is arguably the one trained in musicianship the most. And from what I see, the entire segment was communicated as well as it could have, especially at 3:25, 5:00, 7:20-7:30, 11:10-11:20, etc. etc.
These guys, damn they're like the modern day Led Zeppelin, The funky bassist, the always improvisation guitar solo, Anthony great ability to sync the lyrics tempo through all those blowing instrument , and damn i know nothing about drumming but Chad really absorb all of what his comrade throwing at him man, DAMN.
If you were wondering he is top tier of drummers and well revered by peers and contemporaries and he does it on 5 piece kits sometimes a few more thrown in but pretty rudimentary and bare bones ships with a master skipper! He truly shows in Chickenfoot what else he can do
@@allrounder242 yea just because this person said such horseshit i gotta humble them too. RHCP whether song or jam or live or studio you wont find a band so in sync with each other and Smith, Flea, Froosh, and Anthony are RHCP the one and only these other members that have come and gone truly show how much Froosh plays a part in the entire algorithm from songwriting and arrangement to texture and tone the rhythms and melodies the harmony and groove the amazing guitar parts and meshing he truly is amazing. All.of them are.
@@ТочкаБифуркацииТ Honesly, after their early days Led Zeppelin was going downhill fast. Especially after the death of John Bonham and Page‘s addiction.
I feel comparing them to The Who is more fitting. Anthony and Rodger are both excelent front men, especially live. Flea is one of the few who can play bass on the level of Entwistle, and rocks the skeleton suit too. Chad and Moon are both absolute beasts on the drums. Frusciante and Townshend are both unstoppable creative forces...
I know John thinks he's good in his mind but I also think he doesn't realize how incredible he is just pure emotion and feeling I'm happy to be alive to witness it
I can’t explain what I feel when I hear this, it’s different from everything else, this jam is beyond perfect. Eargasmic is the best way to describe this
By the grace of the funk gods, I was able to see the Pepper’s with John twice since he came back. It didn’t even feel like real life… John’s ora is out of this world and his energy seeps through his band and the fans souls. I hope to see them at least one more time and they jam like this for 12 minutes 😢
I've actually been refraining from commenting on this piece simply because I know that if I do, I wouldn't be able to stop complementing it in every single way possible. What they've done here, without any rehearsal, is amazing. The harmonies they put together using nothing but imrpovisation and their ability to read each other...and at such a high quality of music at the same time. Ridiculously good. These guys aren't just legends of rock, they are legends of music.
7:33 t0 8:58 ... I've heard A LOT of insanely good guitar work... but the stuff John does here?? That's the most transcending, cosmic mindbreak of music I think I've EVER heard; five years after I first found this, I still listen to it as often as I can!!
holy fuck do you guys realize that josh weird space noises give this entire jam it's feel. I know it might be much but they compliment Johns guitar, when he uses the phaser pedal, very well
People shit on Josh like there aren't good tracks on IWY like Did I let you know and police station + Goodbye Angels and Dreams of a Samurai on The Getaway
Every emotion was felt in this jam from all 3 of these great musicians & humans! Nothing compares to this or comes close except maybe some old Zepplin stuff! Long live the RHCP'S including all their lead guitarists! May you continue to bless us with the finest of compositions... Thank you!!!

i was just watching this and realizing that Josh Hof is in there doing keyboards. I know he's been with these guys for years before he became the guitarist, as the back up, but I've been wondering what direction he's going from here.
Time for some freestyle!
And man, tickets for Firenze Rocks are already in my pocket
Josh in the background like "How the fuck am I supposed to replace that...?"
Doctor: You have 12 minutes to live
Me: I Want to watch RHCP Jam in Chorzow
Doctor: But it has 12:44
God: that's ok
😂
Like fr!
LMAO DEADASS
kkkkkkkkkkkk i want watch rock lee vs gaara full hd link park
Then you get 2 unskippable 30 second long ads 😂😂
John is the only guy who can be a guitarist and a DJ at the same time.1:06
+Volej Core I chuckled
haha man he was just setting up his pedals for the sound he wanted, you can see it right when he stands up to press the pedal
haha.i know .i was just joking.
Well... Tom Morello does a pretty good job at that. To be honest, he's not really a guitar player, he's better off behind a desk.
Just in case you don't know, but you probably do know, Frusciante produces hip hop beats for the Black Knights, check out their albums 'Midieval Chamber' and 'The Almighty'. And Frusciante's solo producing!
5:00 - 12:00 really is the best live solo guitar of all time.
honestly
mind blowing
Without a doubt
Happy, sad, hurt, angry, relaxed, compassion, strong, weak, past, present, future, life, death.Felt all those emotions listening to this jam
You felt death? Lmao what?!!
@@X-EvilAsh
Lol
josh kinglhoffer behind with the synth
Carlos de la Rosa Noriega just came here to comment this.
thank you
I listen to this almost every single day. Beautiful. Especially with Josh Klinghoffer in the background. This, and the Federation Square Jam.
I know what you mean, it's becoming a habit for me too
Wilfredo Ayala same !
Federation square jam is nothing short of epic... it's completely intoxicating!!
Moi aussi! ☺
Theyre so connected they communicate through the music, its always a pleasure to experience artists on this level flow like this
I listen to this jam daily.
Me too
Holy shit i though i was the only one.
Every day on the drive home
John is an absolute legend
Word
Anthony's lyrics are cool and they work to create the songs, and i love the guy.......but man are Flea, John and Chad 3 of the best to ever do it at there respective instruments, and how the 4 of them come together to create magic is beyond words.....and i still cant believe JOHN IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!
some times i envy the walls in johns house
same feeling here
Me too
i more envy by the fact bssm was recorded in a haunted house, which ghosts could listened to 'em jamming. lol
I envy John’s guitar
This video here is a perfect example why sooooo many RHCP fans say "I MISS JOHN FRUSCIANTE"
tryfe10 there can be only one
I think they will reunite sometime. Like pink Floyd
So true, he's so great ☺.
The man made the RHCP best work, hands down. All the classic albums
Fak,this is pure sex,ok,now we can call it,rhcp yammin.john is amazing,fckn incredible
deeply respect for You Josh.. and I wish Someday You'll diggin live on the stage again with Them.. Welcome Back Lord Frusciante..
@@randyrusso3793 hahahaha "Lord" I mean it's worth to call Him "Lord" right I'll correct it "All Hail Lord John Anthony Frusciante" 😂
I like Josh also 3 album amazing, but all time missing John! My deram two guitaris together in Rhcp!
one of the best ever jam !!
true i can't get enough
The best jam ever my friend.
Frusciante's a genius, plain and simple. I'd put him up there with Jimi, Jimmy, and Stevie Ray.
richard tyler I’d put him above SRV (who I adore) and Page second only to Jimi the grand master a
richard tyler I’d have him above Clapton Page and SRV and I love those guys. Johnny is something else.
Agreed!
John’s better than all of them. Even Hendrix. Nobody knows their way around a fretboard like he does.
The funny thing of this four guitarist all of they have a dirty sound which i have Nothing against specially when you think about it frusciante ídols where page and hendrix.
One of the best pieces of music in my entire life. Maybe the best.
John: I'll play some bad ass licks!
Flea: I'll go crazy on bass!
Chad: Count me in for some sweet drumming. Josh, what do you got?
Josh: SPACE NOISES!
I think it's a key point of the succes of this jam :)
"Key" I see what you did there ;)
what's the meaning of your message?
Josh is playing the KEYboard
I want to print this on a tshirt! Nails it!!!
Now that I've heard this, my ears will never feel the same level of satisfaction again.
***** 3:30 dat mustache though.
***** did I just reply to myself?
***** yes I did.
+AccioFreaks It happens
+Vinícius Fedon Everytime
Frusciante is back! Everytime I hear the blues breakdown starting at 7:55 it gives me chills. He's by far one of the greatest to ever use a pick. 🙌
Yes that’s dirty blues touch. Funky
From a musicians point of view, this is just magic.. just transported to another world every time this plays ah.
Everyone always says that “from a musician point of view” well from a guy with ears point of view yes it it very good and sounds great
@@OGStazzy sometimes goes hand in hand 😅
From a musician point of view, the guitarist doesn’t play on the beat. He doesn’t communicate with other musicians. The first 5 minutes are the more boring of my life.
@@francoisnuq3304 highlight exactly where he isn't in tempo with what flea or smith has established. Out of all the people on that stage, John is arguably the one trained in musicianship the most. And from what I see, the entire segment was communicated as well as it could have, especially at 3:25, 5:00, 7:20-7:30, 11:10-11:20, etc. etc.
@@francoisnuq3304from a musicians point of view, stfu
Their every jam should have at least 10 million views
With this guys every single concert should be recorded. Imagine that a magic moment like this one could be lose forever... That would be so sad...
Almost forgot to listen to this today
Fruciante is feeling the music, man. What a dude!
These guys, damn they're like the modern day Led Zeppelin, The funky bassist, the always improvisation guitar solo, Anthony great ability to sync the lyrics tempo through all those blowing instrument , and damn i know nothing about drumming but Chad really absorb all of what his comrade throwing at him man, DAMN.
wrong.they are degradeted led zeppelin.
I know John thinks he's good in his mind but I also think he doesn't realize how incredible he is just pure emotion and feeling I'm happy to be alive to witness it
Fuck after seein him beeing almost killed by drougs. He did became a master guitarrists.
John is back and we’ll see jams like this... gloriosus jams.
Sweet mother of all that's holy people of Poland you've witnessed the best jam in the history of music
every fucking note is perfect..
Best note is G
I can’t explain what I feel when I hear this, it’s different from everything else, this jam is beyond perfect. Eargasmic is the best way to describe this
amazing john looks like he still living 60s 70s keeping the culture alive, he will leave a great legacy behind him
The intro bass riff is fuckin sick and then it transcends into pure genius
I shower to this everyday. The best 12 minutes of the day everyday.
Romantic Someone gets it ^^
strongly agree dude
@Tanguy Blanchard looking at their track record of jams over the years, i would definitely assume that bassline was created on the spot.
who said there was no rehearsal? bit of a wild assumption there.
Flea and John at the section starting around the 5 minute mark is wild. Flea starts his bass and John just goes into another world. John is legend
7:33 t0 8:58 ... I've heard A LOT of insanely good guitar work... but the stuff John does here?? That's the most transcending, cosmic mindbreak of music I think I've EVER heard; five years after I first found this, I still listen to it as often as I can!!
I think Chad loved watching them freestyle and seeing what came out of it. He had so much fun doing that with them
Klinghoffer is rocking out on the synth! :-D
A track from this new album needs to be a 10 minute instrumental jam
Fr is that too much to ask for
Eddie outro solo is close enough!
This jam is what made me listen to RHCP, love John, admire Flea, like Chad a lot. Loved them ever since.
Have you heard the Federation Square jam they did? I definitely recommend it.
getback4444 Yes I have. It's brilliant.
Might be their jams I love most.
Thank you for the recommendation :)
Frusciante Master Mode ON
I kept having shivers down my spine from 10:00 up.....i rarely have this from music. WOAWWW. What respect i have for these guys!!!!
John Frusciante is back. The best news of 2019 !!!
Big Facts!
A lot of us.

THE BEST JAM OF ALL TIMES, SO EMOTIONAL
yes
@@myrnadeza6273 yes
Guys, check out final jam from Sydney 2007. It's in really low quality but it was the best jam ever. I guarantee you!
his guitar talks..
His guitare just doing the same riff for al mots all the Time
Flea 's doing all the job
Are you serious? they both do the work.
@Miaux At the beginning he s playing around the same melody and at the 5 minutes mark he s doing more soloing stuff. Did you watch the whole video?
so what, thats how improvising works, one makes rhythm while other makes melody...
But its a very good work, dont remove the value of that
I still come back to this every few weeks/months. Love it so much
DECEMBER 15 2019 BC JOHN FRUSCIANTE HAS JUST REJOINED THE BAND
holy fuck do you guys realize that josh weird space noises give this entire jam it's feel. I know it might be much but they compliment Johns guitar, when he uses the phaser pedal, very well
John’s looks have improved over the years. He has and always will be the man. Love ya John
Greatest jam of all time AND greatest bass/guitar/drum combo in the history of music period!! DGF what anyone else says..
Johns and fleas souls are just connecting so well, the music they play together, even chad fantastic drums the timing is incredible.
The Harmonie between those three is insane
I seen this jam 2007,I watched about 1000 times!
If only hendrix could see this! He would be proud!!
+favourite-jokers If only Hendrix and Frusciante could've had the chance to meet each other/play together.
+Georges Abitbol He doesnt play for us anymore anyway dude
+Art Vandelay Oh, but he does :) April 16. Release of his new EP.
Yeah, but i mean playing guitar live
Anne Dworak Yeah, but i mean playing guitar live
The whole concert can be them jamming,I would never get bored
This jam was peek of Rhcp and Music after that for 10 years still nothing has come near this...
People shit on Josh like there aren't good tracks on IWY like Did I let you know and police station + Goodbye Angels and Dreams of a Samurai on The Getaway
@@liligman Dreams of a Samurai is hugely underrated sone. Hearing it live is a great jam piece

This. This is the greatest video on RUclips.
Every emotion was felt in this jam from all 3 of these great musicians & humans! Nothing compares to this or comes close except maybe some old Zepplin stuff! Long live the RHCP'S including all their lead guitarists! May you continue to bless us with the finest of compositions... Thank you!!!
Dave Simpson is the only real viable replacement for this legend. Thank you John for making me pick up a guitar, you’ve changed my life.

@@strongmentalitydude3553 right. There are maany frusciante like players but nobody can fucking write songs like Josh for example
