Seems like John is the idea maker mostly, but sometimes it feels like Chad hit some drum roll and John reacts on that. And of course the chemistry is going between Flea as well. It is such a good thing they are together again!
Nobody ever says it, but Frusciante made RHCP the band that they became and are today. No disrespect to Hillel, but had he not died, the band would have never gotten to the sound that made them huge. And that sound all came from Frusciantes rhythmic, melodic, dynamic, and beautiful sound. His sound is so unique and just draws you in. Very underrated by those that don’t know guitar.

I think it was a legit miss cue AND it’s also not the first time it has happened before in rehearsals or something because John took one glance and realized Anthony wasn’t at his mic, switched from playing the verse riff to going apeshit. My gut is feeling is they’rekind of used to Anthony just not being at the Mic sometimes, Which is fine, like an unspoken agreement…” When Anthony comes in will go to whatever part he’s at” Type of thing… Just look at flea’s face at the end of it, He looks over at his side stage, smiles, and screams WOOOOH!!!

the whole tour is really on a high high level. no song is taken for granted. you can cleary see they enjoy every minute of it and give their all each night

One of my favourite solos in the album version - There is a quote from John where he talks about stretching and speeding up time, and that album solo is a great example of that - also, simplicity, for the most part it's only 2 notes. I always imagine a rock tumbling down a hillside when I hear it. This live version is much more elaborate, magical!
You know, in front of a really big audience is normal to have small errors, but the thing is how you act to that errors and they act professionally and adding other 2 beats. They are amazing musicians. Btw, what a solo.
Sometimes I think that the feeling of John's solos comes out stronger in adverse situations like this one where Anthony didn't enter the solo return. It looks like he feels challenged and it's amazing. Love you John! LOVE PEPPERS!

This is easily one of my top 2 favorite slower songs on stadium arcadium one time I had Hey on repeat in my friend's van after he picked me up from my first ever stay in rehab so to watch John smile during the intro see anthony in his groove then listen to my JF belt out another solo makes my heart melt gosh I would do anything to see these 4 guys together before they stop performing I have never been able to see them not even once 😢❤ I can die happy if I get to see them perform with John...

John hasn’t struggled on this tour by any means, but he seems to be finding his footing in a live setting again. I feel like, watching the shows on this tour, you can see him rip up better and better solos. He looks almost more comfortable than ever up there right now, and it’s only gonna get better
100% agree. He has been getting more and more into that flow state every show and it's amazing to watch and witness - So thankful for the media sharing age we are in that we all basically get to witness every single show live or within 12-24 hours of it.
Totally, I’m so psyched to see them - he’s right back in the swing, he so clearly is in a mental mode for big and smart rock guitar playing. He always goes through phases - sometimes it’s electronic, sometimes it’s solo songcraft oriented stuff, but he’s right where he ought to be for having a great time playing out with the band again.
