Kellan, this is such a nourishing, energizing, empowering practice! Feeling so embodied and so connected with the child-like wisdom of your body first thing in the morning is a true gift - thank you so much!
I wish I could give a “like” for every time I do your routines, they are just so amazing in their variety and body-aware goodness weirdness. Thank you!
23/3/23 hip circles were great, I added warrior 3 for balance. This playful practice keep me mentally calm and limber. Thank you for your effort in creating this 🆒👍🔝🙌💯🙏
this is truely great! all the movements and then shaking and bouncing and little massaging (+ the ears!)... as a physiotherapist and someone who likes to treat my body well, I can tell: this is perfect!
So awesome. To me, a huge part of this practice is building awareness - starting with our body. Glad you could find some relief, keep up with the practice and good things will keep coming! Best wishes.
Just want to thank you for sharing these practices. I've been looking to get into movement training for quite a while now as something to mix into my yoga routines, and an enhancer for athletic performance. Finding well thought out and orchestrated practices on RUclips has been quite a struggle, and I was thrilled when I came across your channel. Thanks again for all you do ✌.
Wow. That's cool. Sounds very similar to how I got going with all this. I wanted to infuse more of a playful energy into my fitness. I was familiar with yoga, lifting, MovNat, parkour, martial arts, dance, and sport so I just them as templates / frame of reference. Rather than have everything in a separate box, I prefer to keep things a little more blended. It really works for me on all levels. I want to give people more resources to find what best suits them. Thank your for your support.
Haha nice! I quoted you in an e-mail I just sent out bc this made me smile. I do hope my content helps people make their yoga more fun and more personal. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@stevet9453 It's movement. It's formless. Rather it becomes whatever you want or need it to be, you know? I share my practice to inspire ideas and to encourage people to put together something that personally relevant and deeply meaningful. To me, movement is about connect to self, to nature, to others, then to...?
I keep staring at this book on Bioenergetics that I've owned for like 5 years. I'll eventually get around to reading it and grow my understanding of why shaking it off is so important...but in the meantime I'm just shaking 🤷🏽♂️
I am really grateful to your choice of bringing mindfulness and kinda Tao aspect mixed with Yogic stillness...and breath!!! Thank u! There s too much of strngthening out there. We need to remember what is softness!
Wow! Your practice breathes life into the structured routine of any other exercise approach I’ve ever experienced. On a level it is so intuitive in that it is helping us learn more about ourselves. Invigorating!
Goodmorning, thank you for teaching us the movements you've developed over the year. As someone who loves MMA, these movements have been extremely beneficial in my training. Not only that, using your audio and morning training as meditation had drastically improved my momentum in the week. Thank you again, keep doing what you do, we appreciate you more then we can express!
Your videos don't disappoint. Hardest part for me: Knee Circles & Deep Knee Bends, wow those aren't easy. The scalp massage in the end felt like a reward for my routine. Thank you!
I've done this routine now for the 2nd time in a couple of weeks. Something I'd like to mix into my current programming. Feels amazing when I've finished the session. I find my whole body just feels absolutely amazing when I'm done. I enjoy exploring these "new to me" movements. Thank you for sharing.
This felt amazing, and so inspiring to take this freedom to my other practices and rest of the day. The scalp massage at the end felt great. Thank you for everything!
Very cool. I started down this path because I was just craving something more integrative and engaging for myself. Glad it's resonating with some. Thank you for watching!
I absolutely love these videos Kellan! They're unique, thoughtful and really get my body and mind moving. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge with us! Looking forward to more and more videos from Movement Parallels Life!
That song by the loyalist from another vid of yours was perfect for getting weird to. Thanks for another great practice, Kellan! P.S. Just became a patreon subscriber. You do great work, man! Keep it up!
Hey Kellan! you are doing great job! Thanks for all inspirational practices you sharing... Do you recommend further resources such as books or anykind of materials to improve my natural movement practices or philosophy aswell? Thanks again and I am looking forward for the next video :)
Katy Bowman and Frank Forencich have published some great reads. Erwan Le Corre's book - The Practice of Natural Movement will finally arrive next month. Knowledge is great but IMO true learning and understanding comes from figuring out how we individually can put the info into practice. Best wishes.
HI Kellen- I am curious about some parts of your routine that I have experienced in other traditions- and some that were new to me. Could you explain your understanding of what is being activated/strengthened in these exercises in the video?: -Holding the arms out at the start. -the foot roller -the hand clapping -scalp I am making up pressure points, nerve endings to awaken. I am curious if you have deeper understanding from a, perhaps, western perspective of what these activities are doing. Also, from an exercise perspective, is what you are doing in this video a form a strengthening? It seems that there is an endurance aspect that gets fatiguing, similar to yoga- except that it is active , more like calisthenics. I am so curious about your approach! Thanks for the video!
It would be useful if you didn't leave such long silences and keep going some voice hints what can we do when we "explore" the movement. As a newbie I have to look all the time on the tv because I don't know what are the options. Please record some more hints.
Thanks for your feedback. This video is appropriate for beginners...but not designed specifically for beginners. I have intentionally included less cueing so that viewers may follow along repeatedly as part of their morning routine and explore their practice organically over time. If you're seeking more guidance, I suggest choosing from my Movement Foundations playlist: bit.ly/30OahVt
You are combining so many elements into this 30 mins that I felt I practiced multiple disciplines all at once 😅. Thank you Kellen.

Movement Parallels Life this is essentially active yoga in a way right ?

Me: doing full-body shakes, tapping my head, and curling my ears...
Me: definitely the weirdest thing I’ll do all day
Me: THAT WAS AWESOME
Got here from your email. That shit was hilarious. How could you be productive without a ginger turmeric mushroom voodoo tea every morning?
😳I forgot to mention the voodoo tea! Now the people are going to be less than optimized. Hahaha cheers bro!
