This is a white oval bathroom rug (largest dimensions 24x16) which has a "shag carpet" feel to it. It comes shipped folded in half, and the instructions say you can wash it (cold water no bleach) to remove the crease, or just leave it out for 7 days. After 7 days the crease / wrinkle in the center was noticeably decreased, but it was still visible.
My Dyson vacuum would "grab" the rug and stop the beater bar. However, my less powerful robot vacuum happily vacuumed over the rug without any issues, so it does appear to be robot vacuum compatible.
