Kay's death genuinely freaked me out. It was extremely uncomfortable even thinking about it. The fact that she gave birth in the most horrific way imaginable, only for her child to grow into this disgusting creature, and slowly drain her life away sloowly while she could do nothing, like nothing against him. Haven't felt such dread in movies in a long time.
The first shot of the hybrid is the only time I’ve legit been actually shocked from an Alien movie before. I’ve been scared, tense definitely, but the way I grabbed onto my moms arm in the theater really says a lot about just how terrifying they made the movie
The Xenomorph Hybrid is not like the Newborn from Alien Resurrection, because unlike the Newborn, this one has no feelings and does not feel love for his mother, he is blinded by aggression and rage.
She had no way of knowing it would do that to her. She didnt even know about the facehuggers or the xenomorph. All she knew was thst her brother tried to use the serum on her to save her but didnt. She probably thought it was medicine.

i think that's the point of the design, the director wanted to make a reference to ridley Scott's prequel movies. the engineer's human's and xenomorph's share the same DNA.
The refined black goo probably reawakened the Engineer genes inside Kay's growing fetus (Since Humans are descended from the Engineers), and transformed into a xeno-engineer. The xeno appearance is probably a default when any living organism is infected with the goo, I might be wrong tho
first time kay reached for her chest I already knew what it means..she was lactating but with the black goo, the offspring was basically sucking off the black goo thru her chest like babies instinct to feed since he's part human.
See I think, if Kay didn't push it away it would have attempted to feed off her the way human babies do as in the same scene the black goo is exiting through her breast so perhaps if she showed it some love it wouldn't have forcefully taken the goo. What are your guys thoughts?
@@JeffMathwig267yea, I thought it was a shame. He was a nice guy, he loved the MC, he wanted to save his sister. Tbh, his sister had way too much plot armor to survive like that until the end

The Xenomorph Hybrid only ate Kay after being pushed away by her. Xenomorphs hybrids dont like being rejected. Ripley's Newborn is super consumed to bond with Ripley and cannot accept her rejecting them.
@majestikmse8862 that's likely but think of the foreshadowing, they wouldn't show her lactating the mixture if there wasn't something being involved there, I posted my own comment abt this too, because what if she hadn't rejected the creature and let it mature in front of her and didn't fear it, it could of been a completely different outcome?
Everybody that saw the Newborn back in the day: This thing is hideous it is not deserving of a mother Everybody after they see Romulus: Perhaps we were to harsh to you Newborn
With Kay and Bjorn being cousins and Bjorn being the father of her child, it probably added a little more twist to the offspring's looks other than it resembling an engineer.
I understood that she was gonna die sadly, but genuinely, its confusing why they use foreshadowing to show that she was lactating the black goo like her body was supposed to feed the creature? Like, what if she hadn't taken it away? and let it mature in front of her with love. Would the outcome be different? Same with her stomach in that once scene, what was up with that foreshadowing???
Because she was critically injured and was under the assumption that it would help heal her- which maybe in some ways it temporarily healed her injuries, but it probably would've turned her into some awful creature a week later lol
I got the impression she was concerned about the baby, so in the heat of the moment and with so much desperation, that seemed like the only option to save her unborn child or else she’d bleed out
Get that checked out brother, that's pretty worrying if all you can think abt how hot she is while she's dieing on the floor and having her life sucked out of her-
