When standing upright, the Aliens are bipedal in form, though depending on their host species, they will either adopt a more hunched stance, or remain quadrupedal when walking or sprinting. Their overall stance and general behavior is a result of the mixture of the DNA of the embryo and the host. They have a skeletal, biomechanical appearance and are usually colored in muted shades of black, gray, blue or bronze. Queen Mother Xenomorph is larger than the Queen Alien, and the King Rogue Alien is larger than the Queen...

When I clicked on this video I was not expecting to hear that Batman once fought a crocodile alien and killed it with lava...

Batman and Superman fought Aliens and Predators on multiple occasions.
Superman got impregnated with a xenomorph when he was in deep space when he was weak because he was away from earth's sun. He barely survived when he got his powers refreshed by sunlight just as the xenomorph was ready to burst out of his chest. Instead, his invulnerability prevented that and he puked up the dead hatchling.

That’s the first time I’ve seen one of these size comparisons that I actually enjoyed. It gave us what we wanted in the first 10-15 seconds and then went into explanation in case we were curious. More people gotta do these videos like this

There are people that do videos like this. I've seen several.
I've always been of the opinion the Empress, Queens, and Queen Mother are all the same "kind" of alien, the only difference being "age" with the Queen Mother's being the oldest, thus the subservience due to it actually being the Queen's mother.
I like that theory because in the AvP game for PS3 and Xbox 360 they fo bring up that the Empress is hundreds of years old which would fit over time.
I like the idea that it's kinda like how colony based insects have different breeds within them for combat, gathering, and scouting. Pretty cool for an instinctual societal structure to be birthed by the queen.
i feel like the queens mother and empress should be swapped, but yea i agree with the age thing.

The whole world surrounding xenomorph's is absolutely fascinating. I personally like the Predator better but when it comes to an ever expanding world of sci-fi, aliens was a solid choice as they have been melded into almost every fictional story within the universe.
H.R. Giger's (the artistic creator of Alien) brilliant creation come to life and will live long on after his death.

I only recently found out he died while reading about behind the scenes stuff about xenomorphs and it makes me sad, he was an incredible artist
Xenomorphs have such a huge potential, Idk why movie producers are holding back so much
Cause the Alien movies aren't ever expected to make much, therefore they can't spend much. Low reward = low budget. Why's the reward so low? Because recent Alien films have been absolute shit putting a bad name to the franchise and therefore no one expects the movies to be any good anymore so they don't watch them.
A new AVP would be dope too, but not like AVPR. That movie mostly sucked because you can't see whats happening through half of the movie.

1. I don't think that would work considering all the DNA mutation and such that Facehuggers do. Not to mention the radiation would probably kill it before it could do anything. Or that it probably couldn't put Godzilla to sleep either so that's instant atomic breath burning through it...
2. That would have to be one gigantic facehugger. Even the biggest specimen of facehugger would not be big enough.
3. I am pretty sure it would look a lot more horrifying than Destroyah

Also, I wonder if Godzilla would survive the Xenomorphs birth. I mean, he has survived worse.
Though considering the logistics here, impregnating a younger member of Godzilla's species could be the better tactic.

Honestly, my favorite theory is that xenomorpths were created, or at least bred, by some sort of alien civilization. They bred them to use egg-morphing, by which xenomorph species grew. However xenomorphs encounter a hive species and given their fast and very adaptive evolution, they take the hive trait as their own, forming a queen to lay the eggs. With that, eggmorphing becomes a secondary way to breed as it takes longer and is less efficient. Queen can lay an egg every few minutes.
This boosts their numbers and effectiveness to a point of overwhelming their masters.
theres a word for it I don't know what it is but xenomorphs selectively retain the best traits from their hosts, everything that the xenomorph is even before coming into contact with humanity are the greatest traits it has picked up from other hosts over its existence
I love that the possibilites for types are endless due to the xenos taking 10%(iirc) of the host dna. Lol the dog alien in aliens 3 was the one that sparked that idea in my head as a kid. Seeing it trot along like a pupper was interesting.

Funnily enough, the smaller ones are the more scarier of them all. Queen mother is great and probably strong.. but the smaller warriors that can sneak through any place nearly silently and jump at you from a dark corner is really frightening... and then there are the face huggers.... that is scary +

@Dodadeus tyranids are based on the xenomoprhs and pretty much function the same way.
The King in this is the Rogue from the comments, and as stated was antagonistic to the Queen and other Xenomorphs. A different type of King was recently designed as a limited edition statue, and is intended to be what an actual canon King would be like as part of the hive. Supposedly they patrol outside the hive territory looking for prey and threats, and only go back to the main hive during threats or to help the queen rebuild her egg sac of she breaks it.
I like how all of these are designed. It’s very cool
Xenomorphs are some of the most versatile creatures in media. They are truly terrifying when well written, like in the original film which is still a masterpiece to this day. To many politics are involved in films today, only few diamonds muscle through the mainstream and make it big. One of the latest examples is joker. The alien franchise has lost its grip on what makes xenomorphs a good premise to revolve around and the past few films offer little in terms of expanding them and focuses on characters that hardly have two brain cells to rub together. Hopefully a film will be made that returns to the roots that made these creatures such a marvel.

The Praetorian also turns into the _Ravager,_ which is of equal size as the Carrier in AvP Extinction. Or, at the very least, larger than the Praetorian, as the Ravager and Carrier are 2 of 3 possible evolutionary paths for thr Praetorian.. the 3rd being the Queen. All 3 are of near identical height.

I LOVE THEM! But their role is very similar to the praetorian. They just can’t bring host besides ripping apart ships and enemies like butter with a burning knife.

Fun Fact: The QM's are supposed to be black like most other Xeno's, not red.
The red QM one is a notable one though, given that she was a leader of a "rebellious" hive of red mutant Xenomorph's.
Basically: Think of a war of red and black ants, but with Xenomorph's.
The Queen Mother's are black and not red, the red one is actually just a Queen of a sub species of Xenomorph that spawned due to death of the Queen Mother if I recall correctly.

It’s a shame they don’t teach this kind of information to our children in the public school system. One of the reasons we’ve chosen to homeschool. Kids graduating now are completely unprepared for a xenomorph encounter. Thank you for doing the Lords work.

Awesome! This was a very detailed overview of the expanded variations. I especially like that you mentioned that the predalien from AVP: Requiem was also a young queen/praetorian.
2:17 i had a little action figure very similar to this one for ages that i always assumed was a praying mantis and i didnt realize it was probably this carrier type of xenomorph. You could push these little levers on its back and its arms would sorta hug whatever was in front of it. And i had the bull one too, you could push its head back and click a button to release it to do this little headbutt move. They were always a popular duo when killing off my G.I. Joes
that was the "mantis alien." the figure shown here is likely a kitbash. the mantis was a retool of the gorilla alien, both from the kenner line.

That was kickass robotics and practical effects of 1980s. Not fake ass cgi 2000s.
The Queen was operated by two real people and the worker aliens were single people as well. Same for the Tank and the models for the spaceships which were zoomed in if iirc. Even the Face Hugger was a real robot and it was genius the way they filmed it, alot of it was done in reverse cam. Seeing the documentary on the making of Aliens is pretty cool if anyone hasn't checked it out. The only cgi used was super obvious which were usually explosions and electricity.

00:45 but aren’t the normal aliens in the movies already half human since that breed of alien come from a human.
Xenomorphs usually resemble whatever creature they are birthed from however their DNA is not actually mixing with the DNA of their hosts... They are actually kept separate yet intact so that the xenomorphs can use the DNA of the most dominant organisms of each planet they infest without sharing DNA directly in order to create a physical form which is fitting for the planet itself... This is useful when they are not already inside a hive which contains its own preferred environment.
When scientists merged DNA of humans into a xenomorph's code they made a true manipulation of its genetics rather than a sharing of DNA while staying exclusive to each other's code.

Ripley 8 Disproves this, because of the hyper sleep the queen spent do much time in her and they're DNA merged,
@@strenuousspider9525 - the aliens taken from Ripley were heavily genetically altered... usually they do "keep" the DNA of their hosts and use it in their own physical design and that helps them function on whatever planet they are on but the queen removed the DNA so her eggs are pure xenomorph DNA which is why they are kept in an egg chamber rather than placed all around a particular planet. Drones and workers and so on bring prey into the egg chamber usually in order to impregnate them which performs the fusion of DNA, But every single fusion is a "slipknot" fusion, which is removable during egg-laying.
The Aliens mentioned in the video were, in-fact, contaminated with Ripley's human DNA rather than a slipknot fusion, and were not pure xemomorph... The queen lost the ability to remove her "host's DNA" when giving birth which lead to her baby being too far on the human scale and that meant the baby saw Ripley as it's true mother instead of the queen.
@Walter - they are not incorporating the hosts DNA into their base lineage DNA. They keep it separate somewhat similar to Bacteria plasmids which are separate from the bacterial chromosome and replicate independently of it.

Funny fact: The Alien species are not officially called xenomorphs in the original canon. Xenomorph simply means "unknown lifeform" and the only time it is used is in Aliens by Gorman. He was simply saying xenomorph literally, the lifeform Ripley has seen was unknown.
When Gorman said xenomorph, he wasn't giving the alien a title, he was simply using the word by definition.
That isn't what xenomorph means... It means "foreign changer" idk where you got your information from but it's false af

The word xenomorph in this context is a generic term for any "strange or foreign form"-any alien life form.
What Gorman is saying isn’t "There’s a specific type of creature called 'Xenomorphs' down there!" Instead, he’s saying "there are non-human lifeforms down there." Any other interpretation is easily disproved in the same scene, when Ripley is prompted to describe the aliens. If the creatures have an official name that even a corporal like Hicks knows, why in the world is Ripley there as an advisor?

@@Sosozanyway done a survey have you? anyone who's even passively into the alien movies knows they're not given a name, and anyone who's even passively intelligent can work out that "xenomorph" is just a fancy word for "alien" that gorman uses to come across as smart/informed to his new subordinates. it's also apparent aliens don't have a name just in the context of the movie; they don't even know what the aliens are at that point nor if they're actually there, ripley's the only one who's seen one, so gorman uses a generic (albeit needlessly fancy) term to describe them. "lmao"

Awesome this was in my suggestions. I am particularly intrigued about the alien monster history. Knowing how the xenomorph’ we see today were ‘produced’ was a blast through alien covenant and so on.
alien covenant is garbage. Look at the timeline. According to dumb ass Ridley Scott the species was created 17 years before the first movie (covenant takes place 17 years before Alien). He is a dipshit with a bloated ego who thinks he came up with the idea for them and has dominion over their story. He HATES the idea of the queen. His dumb ass idea was that the drone morphs its victims into eggs as seen in the deleted scenes from Alien.

I actually remember seeing a panel from a Dark Horse Alien comic once that showed a type of marine xenomorph that was far bigger than even the Queen Mother, about the size of whales. (IIRC, in the panel the marine xenomorph dwarfed the ship/boat the humans were in on the water's surface.) Unfortunately I don't remember which comic it comes from. Does anybody else remember seeing this?
I do remember this. That planet was mostly water based and got infected with the xenomorphs. The water based wildlife were the size of small boats or bigger so you could imagine the size of the alien that gave birth. I distinctly remember the marines getting of the planet while watching several whale sized aliens swim towards them as they took off. They certainly deserve a mention in this vid!
