Banks Monster-Ram is the best Ram 6.7L Cummins intake elbow. And here's the data to prove it.

  • The Banks Monster-Ram is the ONLY 50-state emissions compliant intake manifold available for all RAM 6.7L Cummins 2500/3500 pickups. The system improves airflow from the intercooler. Killing stock and the competitors, it flows 72.7 lbs/min Mass Air Flow with Banks’ High-Flow Heater and Billet Intake Plate compared to stock's 38.6 lbs/min. That's an 88.3% increase! The proprietary design raises boost and decreases backpressure at the turbine. The result is better throttle response, improved fuel economy, and far more headroom than stock, especially in higher horsepower applications. Whether your RAM is stock or tuned, it will benefit from the Monster-Ram.

In short, a cylinder can only draw in X volume of air, and to improve the cylinder filling for more torque there are only two ways of doing it.
a/ make it more efficent passing the air into the cylinder to fill it to it's maximum potential - or above.- - end/or remove the exhaust gases as effectively as possible and/or minimise the pressure resistance to the piston forcing the gases out.
b/ increase the density of the air drawn in - the volume is the same, but the oxygen content is much greater.
By tackling all these things, as Mr Banks does, the net advantage is greater than the individual parts and there is also the benefit of avoiding one 'improvement' compromising something else.

He retired a few years ago, the only person to ever sit on the board of directors without a college education. He swears by Banks parts, and has always fitted out his Ram trucks with lots of shiny stuff from Banks. Hey there, I have the same upgrades except the diff cover. I just ordered the monster ram and it should be here in a few weeks. What did you notice after you had your Banks monster ram installed. Thanks

@@cooperbrown1 I noticed a lot of off-the-line torque, especially when pulling the 37' toy hauler! :D MPG didn't really increase for me, at least a big noticible change, but I have a lead foot anyways haha!

I just finished installing mine on my 2007.5 that has 275,625mi. on it I bought it new in 07 with 26mi on it. When I removed the old Intake it wasn't to bad as far as soot, and the heater grid looked good also, and I'm sure that had to do with me deleting all of the stuff at 20,000mi (don't have emission here were I live) the heater grid was easy once I got the fuel lines broke loose. Once everything was finished and double checked I did have a clamp on the new intercooler tubes that I installed also so I had a boost leak. Got home cause I noticed that the boost on my I-DASH Gauge would only go to about 9psi got home and found the T Clamp on the tube that attaches to the Turbo was off, so put it back on and tightened everything down and took a ride. Well I can tell you this my truck runs better than when it was new, got on it a few times and hit 22psi on my gauge. This product is great and does exactly like Gale Banks talks about in this video. Great product I should have done this a while ago. Keep up the great products, and research that you do.

Does Banks power just offer the coil style grid heater separately? The videos are all great, full of information and it also education at the same time. Keep up the great work Banks team.

Gale hits another home run out of the park with his manifold air density device! Great work Banks Engineering! Now how about making a product like that for the 5..9 CR owners?

I just installed this #1 because of the grid heater bolt. I was very skeptical of anything else because of all the negative comments on the internet. But I will say there is definitely an improvement in MPGs getting around 2 more miles a gallon and there is some noticeable performance. Granted my truck is deleted and a mild tune. And it looks awesome.

Seems like a great product! But I’d like to see some data that supports an actual measurable change in drivability or efficiency! Horsepower and torque gains, throttle response (horsepower over time?), mpg gain etc.

I agree. Yeah this CAN flow 'X' amount of air @ whatever air density so on and so forth but let's see these parts installed one at a time and proven on a dyno

How would this be different if the outlet pressure of the test were equivalent to, say, maximum operating pressure? Would the advantage be greater or reduced? I'm guessing in this test that the velocity of the air would be higher because the overall pressure is lower, isn't it? When the pressure goes up to operating pressure, wouldn't the air velocity reduce if air mass flow is constant? If that's true, would that velocity reduction amplify this effect or attenuate this effect? Would love to understand what actually happens in that situation. Or, if its even different at all. I'm guessing Gale knows and I'd love to see a follow up.
    Love all the videos!

What about the tubes for the air flow do they come with it or can we purchase them? I'm not seeing it on the website. I'm gonna also get the oiled air intake & the pedal monster. Thank you Mr. Banks! I have been waiting a long time for this!
