It was so weird. So the carbon negative feature was that they might have some excess energy produced, after the unnecessarily taxing computational processes to make new coins, and they can sell that back to the grid. With that money they build more power generation and give you a cut of that? Why not just make the computational requirements to generate the coin and process it as low as possible. It's so weird. They doing backflips to convince you crypto in any form is not a ponzi. Just invest in a solar company with dividends lol.

The whole tech / venture industry is built on hype and early adopters who will buy anything that’s new and shiny - and tech reviewers are a part of that hype train, whether they review the products favorably or not.

There was a time when being an early adopter was lucrative... Now being a skeptic and viewing "pioneers" and "trailblazers" as the bulshitters they actually are is the wisest decision you can make.

Uhhh no. Sorry. I get your point but no. You're thinking of a $300 phone from 2010 at BEST.
A "$20 phone from 2005" wouldn't even have GPS and just BARELY MIGHT even have a camera, let along ride sharing or anything even remotely close to what we know today as a smartphone.

@@JamesR624Not at best. £100 could do it even in 2009. All it needed was Google and an internet connection. Think you're overthinking it a bit 😂 I had a Sony Ericsson from around that time. It had a keyboard, but it had internet, so I could do all the above. Not everything needs to be an app you know
