Well i don't consider modern culture as my culture. I want to learn the old way of thinking, with its defects of course (some parts are idealized) but also with its advantages... Well of course it's not too easy to want half naked girls to at least cover their titties without being insulted by feminists lol
This. This so much. Having it bad is not a source of pride. It's supposed to show something is wrong. Quite frankly, I'd say just let the people who have had it bad over the years be on equal footing with those who did not and call it a day. Don't give either side preferential treatment-that's how I live my life. Discrimination is discrimination, which is why I oppose affirmative action.
right, everyone got to speak their mind, but as soon as blaire started sharing her opinions to jamie, the moderator shut her down to see how jamie was doing. i didn’t see her doing that for anyone else though...
I disagree, as during the conversation (for the most part) they allowed each other to speak respectfully, and neither side was treated as more important.
@@nox2sweetnot true. The they them omnisexual unicorns got to speak a lot and the moderator didn’t interrupt them. Blaire couldn’t even finish many of her sentences without the moderator trying to cut her off. @@tatianadelrey6529 I'll watch part 1, but here in part 2, personally I saw and heard Blaire getting fair amounts of talking without interruption. Only once did Blair actually have to stop talking, but outside of that, everything was going well. While we watched the same video, we got two different things out if it, and I think that's from bias as you called them "omnisexual unicorns" which is a hilarious but kind of reveals bias statement
White lady in the blue blazer and blue jeans. Can we just appreciate the supportive soccer mom vibe from her. All she seems to want is everyone to be happy and be excepted. That supportive soccer mom vibe is the best.

@@nicksurfs1 The moderator seemed definitely biased. They allowed everyone to speak freely without cutting them off unless it was someone with more of a conservative viewpoint. The moderator treated blaire (the conservative trans woman) harshly and allowed people to speak over her. Blaire's voice wasn't being heard and she wasn't able to give her view without everyone putting words in her mouth.

I swear at times it seems like it's a competition to prove who's the biggest victim. I used to find it entertaining but I'm actually getting bored now.
Bruhh RIGHT?? Like damn, literally everyone is a victim. It's not a bloody competition but people love to play the "who's more oppressed and traumatised", game huh
Everyone has different privileges.pointing out someone’s privileges just shows that you’re a spiteful jealous person who goes through life hating others with more than you (hate the rich mentality) very toxic way to go through life
Privilege is the dumbest thing ever. The assumption that someone is more “privileged” than others based upon their skin colour etc is just idiotic. It completely disregards somebody’s life experience and trivialises it based upon something as superficial as skin colour or sexuality. Apparently through this system a person of colour would be less privileged than a white male, even if said white male has been homeless for 3 years. Privilege encourages a victim identity, where people try and gather as many labels as possible in order to make themself feel superior.
Aj but i think its good to recognize that some people have privilege specially in america. when we say white people have privilege we don’t necessarily mean you specifically, but the group as a whole.
spacious nova Why generalise people like this though? What is the point? Everyone has their own problems. This really just fuels division and a victim identity, especially in developed countries where we generally enjoy high standards of living. Those who are in developing countries have lives which are greatly more difficult. We should be channeling our energy to solve these issues, instead of pondering first world problems.
@@motesito6175 "white people" are not a monolith and can't be generalized as a whole as being privileged. Poor eastern European people from Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia etc who fled communism and came to live in USA in 1990s, can't be thrown into the same group as white people who have lived in USA for hundreds of years and who's ancestors owned slaves. I thought generalizing one race was racist and bad, but here you are generalizing white people.
Blaire's point is to "Transition" means moving from one gender to the other gender. Non-binary means you come out as nothing specific at all. They are not the same thing. Most of the panel missed that point.
But jaime also said her body has nothing to do with her gender so what kind of gender dysphoria does she actually have. Do you think she might have body dysmorphia instead? Thats what i want to know and explore more in the trans community

I think for non binary people it’s a case of, for some, wanting medical intervention to help them aline they’re gender identity, however that may be, as opposed to transitioning from one to the other as non binary people can still experience dysphoria.
the definition of trans is not transitioning from one to another, and even if it were, aren’t they kind transitioning from a static perspective (man or woman) to and fluid mosaic (nb, gender queer etc)??
Daryl Dixon yes but that’s gender expression gender is not limited and does not limit you the social standards limit people but that’s gender expression transgender is switching the way they express their gender completely
Emma Kelly Thant’s not fair. That goes to the Transwomans point about gender non conforming and Non Binary (which seems rather redundant by the way) folks, high jacking the Transexual movement. They are NOT truly Trans, in fact they are the antithesis of Trans, they are using their adjacency to Trans-ness as political leverage at the detriment of Trans people. I don’t get why they don’t stand on there on platform.
I think, and I honestly might be wrong because I am definitely lacking in trans knowledge and education, but it's that the terms "boy" and "girl", as well as "man" and "woman" are all gender expressions. That they identify as a boy, or a girl, etc. but female and male is the sex, ie. what organ is between their legs. so that person most likely is referring to them having a sex change, but not identifying with the terms that are gendered like "boy" or "girl". I think these labels exist so people can understand. To be honest it’s not labels who are the evil ones, it’s how much power we give them. Labels shouldn’t be an issue, bc they should just be used as a common point in understanding and identity.
Some people need labels to find out who they are. The same thing applies to a white woman named Tiffany who buys out Starbucks every morning... This was the most confusing and weirdest panel ever. Men that sound like women, women who sound like men, what ever binary is like omg are they confused about who they are voting for or who to have sex with or maybe what sex or species they are?
Yup, and that's because each of the 12 gay people are trying to see "who has it the worst" and also giving out the "you don't know my life" reply once too many. But that is the point isn't it? Why don't these 12 people agree that ALL of them have experienced some of the worst things in their LGBTQ journey. And that in itself is a shared common ground, isn't it?
Im a gay woman lgb needs to split from tqi. Theres no correlation and blaire is grounded. Also im gay came out in 79 and have never been abused for who i am. I dont identify with any of lgbtqia they dont represent me. Gay has nothing to do with trans.

I think that’s how arguments work. You pick what you disagree with and ask them to elaborate lol you aren’t just going to recite everything they said back to them
She was very straight forward and I could feel the tension rising as she expressed her views. As soon as others felt personally attacked, they stopped listening to any word she spoke.

Blair brings a very important question to the table. To be Non-binary and trans is an oxymoron. What are you transitioning into if your transitioning into nothing. To deny the sexes and gender roles of male and female, there isn’t a point but to just exist, and so you can’t have “transitioned” into anything
Completely agree with yours and Blair’s points! I heard that they consider themselves trans due to their transition between both ends; since they’re always moving within masculine and feminine presentation they are transitioning in a way. Thoughts?
@@samuelbach3888that in itself seems a bit moronic though, if your transitioning constantly between feminine and masculine presenting qualities, it means your still in a Binary, kinda like a slider moving from one side to the other. There would be nothing to constitute non binary in that standard of life. Not only that, but being able to identify yourself is the sole reason for these terms in general, but being non binary is in itself, identifying yourself as something with no basis. The gender of female and male has a basis, which would be the sex, intersex also has a basis between those two genders but mostly conforming to one at a later time. But non binary states your OUT of that somehow something completely different from those things. How can you identify what you yourself don’t truly grasp? It almost like they only want their soul to be seen, and not the gender or sex to be included in who they are but that isn’t possible in any way, shape, or form. I simply can’t accept it as a actual term to identify yourself as, unless you can show me where the basis for it is and what it actually contributes to a persons identity, other then a way to say your identity lives in whole different existence from yourself, which just sounds narcissistic and sounds like a clamor to find uniqueness in your individual lived experience.
@@loganwolf2391I think it’s more in the sense that for example harry styles wearing a skirt is him being gay and a girl, or Jaden smith doing the same, or how Tomboys are a thing or Femboys people cannot fathom spectrum in things and will look at someone wearing a woman’s or man’s clothes and assume if they are a man and a woman and then after if they’re attracted to them which is where the problem comes in what if you’re attracted to a man who doesn’t fit the label of a man and is what society thinks of a woman and that said man kills that man that is the problem so essentially the argument with non binary is being able to move away those ideas no one said trans people should be erased but that gender is also a spectrum
@@PriDekoDan what you said still makes no sense, if your still using the spectrum with defining qualities laced in gendered things like makeup or guns or fashion or cars, your still in a binary. Where is the non binary? What are you? Gender is a binary nothing more.

I think that alone is precisely the problem with the LGBT community. EVERYTHING is so incredibly nuanced that everyone wants to make a special box that fits exactly to their specifications, but at what point are we going to stop adding letters to the LGBT acronym? And why does everyone feel the need to identify themselves under some very specific label? I doubt that being a non-binary trans femme whatever the hell comes up in conversation daily and the average person is going to address you by the way you present outwardly, bottom line.
Also it's funny that cutting off Blaire, halting the entire conversation, calling out a persons emotions and putting them on the spot, are all incredibly insensitive things to do but this upside-down ass ideology seems to be attempting to coddle every minor emotion. And they don't realize that it's doing much more harm than good overall.
Honestly as a gay man I’ve experienced more hostility, exclusion and judgement from the lgbt community than from straight and cis gendered people. It’s really just so sad that we are treating people in our own community like this
When the moderator stopped to ask about Jamie’s feelings the entire legitimacy of this debate was lost. The moderator might as well sent everyone home. They’re giving Jamie the power she does not deserve as an oxymoron, (transgender vs. Non-binary). I genuinely feel sorry for the 11 others who were left behind because they did not identify with as many different pronouns. You have to be able to sit and talk constructively without taking things to heart or just looking at one person.
When someone just told you that your identity is made up, it hurts. We are human and it’s fine to feel hurt when someone who should be an ally, isn’t even though you are to them. Emotions are not a weakness, but I stead a strength
Why is Jamie being coddled? They’re an adult, they’re not a child and they should be able to have a conversation about sensitive topics. The real world doesn’t have safe spaces, deal with it. 🤷🏼♀️
I agree that the moderator's tone with Jamie was infantilizing. If anything it took legitimacy from their point because I actually think they handled themselves super well.
Shout out Blair for not taking the easy route and just agreeing with whatever is trendy in the LGBTQ community. I got a ton of respect for her constantly sticking her neck out and saying what she feels is right regardless of the political wind. I agree that we do need definitions for things so all people can truly understand the concepts of the changing sphere of gender. There will never be acceptance if there isn’t a general understanding. It’s like trying to fix your car but not understanding how a car works. You can’t find the issue if you have no clue what you’re looking for (not implying anyone in the lgbtq community has an issue btw. Just an example)
I am republican as hell, and I have never once denied that trans people don’t exist, etc etc. But growing up, trans was a term for people who had a sex change or were planing to go through a sex change, which to be honest, makes sense. But now people use it as a loose term that they just decide they wanna be trans today or that they wanna wear feminine clothes so they are trans. And honestly I understand why she was saying her voice was erased. Imagine going through a whole surgery to become a female and then people put under the same term as someone who just wears female clothes. And did anyone else feel so weird when the speaker just stopped everyone to be like “omg Jamie are you okay jamie are you okay”, like what about the other girl. She went through a whole sex change and is told that she is no different than someone who just wears a skirt?
I feel like "Jamie are you okay?" Was out of the conversation. Like if you know that a strong conversation can trigger you... Why are you accepting a debate where you know that there can be some ideologies against yours?

I cannot believe that people don’t understand what Blaire was trying to say. She was not trying to say that being non binary is not a thing and is not a part of the LGBTQ+ community but they’re not a part of the TRANS community. That’s not meant to be offensive it’s just a fact. Trans people identify as the opposite gender that they were assigned at birth. Non binary people identify as no specific gender. So saying you’re non binary and transgender at the same time seems contradictory to me and to Blaire as well. Some people are really starting to sound like Trisha Paytas claiming to be several letters of the community when they contradict themselves. You are part of the community and you face a lot of the same struggles HOWEVER you are also different and you should embrace that! Fight for your rights specifically as a non binary person.
Kayla Poncho that’s the whole issue in general. If you try to explain, you’re gonna get cut off, waste your time or be labeled as a “hater” or “phobic” of some sort. And Blair is just an example of someone WITHIN the community who’s speaking sense.
imo anything that came from "gender studies" is completely biased, both politically and ideologically and they are radicals, they truly are, like they use concepts as privilege and systemic discrimination as if they have some insigh about becoming woke or whatever all the while having accepted fake papers with whole chapters of Mein Kampf substituting the word jew/s with "white cisgender heterosexual men". It´s not just they don´t belong in the academic world is that they shouldn´t have social influence at all and the LGBT community should get away of that hate narrative that is hidding behind. Their ideological narrative isn´t going to create a more cohesive society is going to create the opposite, there are other ways of creating a society in which people would feel free to be whatever without having to asign guilt for having being born white or cisgender or heterosexual or male or a homosexual woman but white, etc... the words of MLK that were used at the begining go against every single ideological pilar in "gender studies". We need to stop stopping conversations to ask how people feel and start focusing in questioning our fundamental beliefs and accepting compromises. Anyone that believes that talking about the issues that we care about should be approached with a "with me or against me" mentality kind of thing is only a radical that believes that wither they are in posesion of some sort of sacred absolute truth or that their feelings mather more than other people´s freedom of expresion becase "privilege" or whatever other excuse for their egocentrism.
love how they're shutting blaire up when she's the one who's fully transitioned but apparently, the voice of someone who's "non binary trans" is more valid/important than someone who's actually trans. @@kevinlara1295 The other trans woman wasn't hushed or shut down by the moderator to give way to someone else. This is the problem with the community though, people who don't subscribe to the generally accepted opinion are often asked to shut up unless they say the same thing as everyone else. How are we supposed to start a discussion when everyone just wants everyone to say the same things over and over again?
@@VoiceDivine For real. This Caiden fool obviously can't comprehend the fact that the person who was being checked on was being bashed by another trans person aka Blaire White. Probably a cis person who thinks LGBTQ folks are all oversensitive.
Honestly that trans woman - dark hair smoke show - had an insight that was very eye opening. I can’t even begin to imagine how it must feel to live as a man but have a deep feeling of wanting to be a woman. It sounds so far out from reality in my opinion and must drive people insane for those that go through this. Very eye opening and for a lack of understanding and better use of words, I’m glad that I’m a straight male and don’t have these problems but I’m starting to sympathize.
I don’t know why people are so mad at Blair. She’s just saying there’s a difference between trans people and non-binary people and that they shouldn’t be stuck under the same label. Could have she worded it better and less harsh? Yes 100 percent. But I agree with her. There is medical bases for being transgender, there isn’t for being gender non binary.
@Blashtifin I feel like non-binary should have been an exclusive term, there are a lot going on mentally for both trans and non-binary but the privilege of not having to do any physical transitioning should make it a difference, hence trans is trans and non-binary is non-binary. As a trans who's been I guess blessed enough to live the so-called "normal" life (whatever that is lol), I mostly researched all information about the LGBTQ for relatability and familiar with the term non-binary, but it surprised me how apparently this topic between trans and non-binary exists.
@Blashtifin There's not a ton of science because acknowledging that people can be trans is relatively new in acceptance. Just because there isn't a ton of science on something due to the age of it doesn't mean it's automatically incorrect or to be discredited, it's just that there hasn't been enough time to pass for data to accumulate regarding it being scientifically supported or debunked: sitn.hms.harvard.edu/flash/2016/gender-lines-science-transgender-identity/

I think the only positive discussion this video has started is that the LGBT community isn't a community - they're people, people of all ages and world views and experiences and ideas loosely tied together by four letters.
This was the most confusing and weirdest panel ever. Men that sound like women, women who sound like men, what ever binary is like omg are they confused about who they are voting for or who to have sex with or maybe what sex or species they are?
When she said " i cant believe you got 12 gay people here and nobody feels at home in the gay community" i felt that! Like fok we need to do better. 😢

Brittany D great argument lmao. “Ur wrong and dumb!”
Brittany D saying “facts and science” doesn’t mean you made an argument, you actually have to bring an argument to then substantiate with facts and science. Love how aggressively defensive you get from me calling out your lack of an argument. Sounds like insecurity and overcompensation! Fun.
Brittany D youve provided absolutely nothing of substance to engage with, how would you even know a) if you know anything that would be educational for me or b) that I wouldn’t be able to engage with it? How am I ignorant? You’re REALLy showing yourself out to be illogically defensive and arrogant. You have to show intelligence to be able to be arrogant about it lmao. Still waiting for an argument. CAlling yourself a ‘troll’ doesn’t justify it loool
Brittany D it’s interesting because you talk as if you’ve presented an intelligent argument, so I’m wondering what is justifying your arrogance if not that?
a) it’s a very convenient statement to say “I don’t have to present an argument cos ur dumb”
b) how did I question the obvious? Your lack of specificity is... wild.
Trans is.. growing? That literally makes no sense. You’ve mentioned nothing of transness so that’s clearly irrelevant.. ima see how you respond to this. Cause if you’re trolling and intentionally being stupid to try and make me mad, thats fine, it’s validating for me cause talking to a moron is fun, if not a troll, even more validating. Win win
Thoughts?
From what I can tell. Trans non binary is when one transitions from one gender to a hermophrodite.

Not enough minority points to argue I guess. It’s shitty on both sides because they clearly all deserve support and fair treatment, but then they just start roasting each other.

SO TRUE!! everyone always caters to the crybaby male narcissists. I felt bad for Blaire being bullied the whole time.

Transgender means a different gender than you were assigned at birth. Non binary is trans by definition.
Facts💯and same. Transgender and non binary ARE two different experiences, and not even JUST different experiences - there's literally a biological explanation for why people that are transgender are the way that they are. How to win an argument in an LGBT debate: "You don't know my life"
Dont forget: "white males..."
To be fair, when white privilege was brought up the white guy said the exact same thing
I honestly don't get why the white male got so triggered when she mentioned his privilege creates a bias. it's a statement not an attack. my ethnicity has a bias, where I grew up, where I lived etc, hell my gender and taste creates a bias, I don't get why he was being so defensive. biases are from experience, privilege is created through the act of acting on biases (imo).

Oh no, Blaire totally thinks non binary isn't a thing, and I agree with her 100%. I guess you don't follow her RUclips channel lol?
imo anything that came from "gender studies" is completely biased, both politically and ideologically and they are radicals, they truly are, like they use concepts as privilege and systemic discrimination as if they have some insigh about becoming woke or whatever all the while having accepted fake papers with whole chapters of Mein Kampf substituting the word jew/s with "white cisgender heterosexual men".

Jack Simmons him*
@Blashtifin I feel like non-binary should have been an exclusive term, there are a lot going on mentally for both trans and non-binary but the privilege of not having to do any physical transitioning should make it a difference, hence trans is trans and non-binary is non-binary.
I don't think the way she worded it was harsh, and even so, that shouldn't matter. The truth can sometimes hurt, but it helps in the long run.
