Your 18-35mm doesn't become a 50+mm lens because it's used on an APS-C camera body...not unless you've changed the laws of physics. All it does is use the "cropped" section of the image. What you are doing is just matching the framing to your full-frame camera setup. However, the images are NOT the same because you are using DIFFERENT focal lengths to match the framing. Compression (background to foreground) will be very different and so will the field of view. Compare that with taking the same shot with both of your cameras, using the same lens, with the same settings, from the same spot, then cropping the full-frame image to match the framing of the crop sensor shot. In that instance, you will end up with the same exact image in terms of field of view and depth of field.

Nice video dude. Very pro looking. I didnt get on with the mc11 adapter due to no video AF. A7c looks pretty reasonable though. I have the a6400 currently so good to that as an option.

I usually shoot with two cameras wearing two different lenses... I will sometimes shoot with an A6400 and an A6600. Lately, I have been using the A6600 and A7iii. My trio of lenses for these cameras are the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8, Samyang/Rokinon; 14mm f/2.8 AF and either the 70-200mm f/4 G or 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 G lenses... Until I got a really good deal on the A7iii + Tamron lens, I shot with the A6400 and A6600 and used primes: the Sony 50mm f/1.8, Rokinon 12mm f/2.0 and 85mm f/1.8 G lenses.

Good stuff dude! I own an A6400 and a Pocket 4K. The A7C does seem really intriguing and I’m kinda tempted to get it. But I know the A74 will probably be announced sometime this year and it’ll def be a great A-camera.

@@markaiello Definetly dude! Will you end up selling your A7C or A6400 if you wanted to upgrade to the A74 in the future? Cuz I really was set on the A7siii but I don’t want to pay 3500 dollars. If the A74 is 2500 dollars and has all the bells and whistles of its bigger brothers I’ll be sold.

@@cj64films I hear you man, the a7siii is way too much money. I want to try out other cameras but I try to not get too hyped up over new gear. The newest camera is always going to have more bells and whistles than the previous. As long as the camera I have gives me everything I need (which these two do) then I'm hanging on to it. If the wheel ain't broken don't fix it! hahaha

But the A7S3 can shoot 10 bit, that's better when color grading, don't you think?

Overall pretty good. It's even better when you don't need an adapter connected to it though. When I use that lens on the a7c though, it's not great.

Really want to like A7c, being a photo shooter, flip out screen and tiny EVF are deal killer. Why can’t Sony give it a fully articulated screen like Fujifilm that can flip and tilt?
